𝓗𝓪𝓹𝓹𝔂 𝓟𝓵𝓪𝓬𝓮 𝓫𝔂 𝓔𝓶𝓲𝓵𝔂 𝓗𝓮𝓷𝓻𝔂 ~Happy Place is for the people who give up every part of themselves to make everyone else happy and forget they deserve happiness too. This book pulls all of your heartstrings and had me tearing up. The whole time I was just desperate for a happy ending romance. It’s funny how this book is called Happy Place but during most of the book it didn’t leave me in a very happy place…. However, I give this book 4.5⭐️ I listened to this on audiobook and listening to it just brought the story to life.

:: “Suck and Blow” By #JenikaSnow 🚀 —♡— Favorite line : “Not gonna waste a drop, sweetheart. My ¢um stays in you, whether in your mouth, that sweet pu$$y, or that tight little a$$ of yours.” —♡— My thoughts - no spoilers, I am a rambler.  This very spicy and very steamy - more smut than plot - novella made me grab B.O.B (battery operated boyfriend) — TMI, yes, but hey, what do you expect coming from a review about a $smutty book. Pyper and Anthony made me grab BOB before Anthony even brought out his sword do thickness. Like the synopsis states, Pyper ends up having a kinky and very, very filthy one night stand with a mask stranger who she later finds out is her boss , Mr. CEO, Anthony Blackwell. Let me just say, how she found out it was him in her camera roll was so freaking hot. I couldn’t contain the squeal that escaped my lips. ARC Book Review: Calling it Safe Author: Lo Everett 5 ⭐'s Release Date: April 30th. "I'm not your savior, Dean. Just a girl who loves you, damage and all".  Dean is a grumpy baseball player and Mia is a romance writer. Together Mia and Dean end up sharing Dean's cabin in the mountains. Mia ends up seeing a softer side of Dean and realizes there is more to him than he lets others see. They both use their passion as an escape. Mia feels they have more in common than she originally thought. Dean pushes Mia out of her comfort zone. The moments shared between Mia and Dean were so sweet and magical. The spice between Mia and Dean is off the charts! Dean doesn't think he is good enough or worthy of Mia but she shows him that he is. "A Family is more than blood. It's the people you choose -the people who choose you".  This book is filled with so much joy, sadness and emotion. Get those tissues ready! "When things get hard, I'll fight for us because we are both worthy of a once and a lifetime love".- Favorite Quote ❤️ Definitely read this amazing book if you love these Tropes: Grumpy/Sunshine  -Brothers Teammate  -Forced Proximity  -Friends with benefits  -Secret Relationship  -Pro Baseball  Thank you so much to the author Lo Everett for my ARC copy in exchange for my honest review.❤️ #bookreviewersofinstagram #arcbooksarethebest #bookrreview #booklovers #Sportromance #ilovebooks #romancereader #booktokbooks #booktok @loeverettbooks ❤️ @lasbookstaengagement @_book.worthy_

I loved everything about this book. Edith Wharton’s snarky, biting wit. The portrayal of a writer at the mid-century mark with some of her greatest work ahead of her. Cameos by Henry James and Vanderbilt’s. The comforting truth that being a writer in 1910 isn’t much different from being a writer in 2024–the jealousy, the crappy royalties. All there for Wharton, too. On top of all that, the murder victim is none other than David Graham Phillips, Madison’s own. Who sounds sort of like an ass, but we’ll still claim him. All the stars. Highly recommend. #madisonindiana #thewhartonplot #edithwharton #bookrrcommendations #bookrreview

ARC Book Review: Boarded Hearts Author: Ruth Stilling 5 ⭐'s All I can say is Jon Morgan is my new favorite book boyfriend 🥵. I love all of the layers that both main characters have. Felicity Thompson, the FMC doesn't trust easily. She meets Jon Morgan; the famous womeniser, hockey player and he falls fast and hard. He gives his all to pull the layers back and have Felicity trust him.  I love the anxiety rep in Jon Morgan's Character. Their love story had me laughing and crying while rooting for Jon and Felicity to end up together and have their happily ever after! Crescent City was wild 😅 I really love Sarah J. Maas and how she manages to bring so many different characters to life and forces us to care about them. I don’t think that this series is any different from ACOTAR or TOG in that regard. However, I found Crescent City harder to get into. It took me the first 100-200 pages of book 1 to connect with the setting and some mental space to work through 3(!) 800+ pages books in such a short time. I really feel like I connect more with the „usual“ set up of a fae story (meaning this kind of medieval, enchanted vibe). It’s probably very chliché, but this modern world distracted me a little bit 😅 Does anyone feel the same way? How do you prefer your fae stories?

🧁Mala pekarnica u Brooklynu🍰 Kakvu lijepu romansu je ovdje stvorila Caplin☺️ Priča o novom početku, ljubavi i prijateljstvu, o sjajnoj hrani, o poslu, o životu jedne Engleskinje u šarmantnom Brooklynu🥐 Nakon ljubavnog brodoloma Sophie dolazi u New York. . . . #malapekarnicaubrooklynu #juliecaplin #thelittlebrooklynbakery #brooklyn #romance #romancebooks #books #bookworm #bookphotography #bookrecommendations #bookrreview #bookstagram #bookstagramcroatia #bookblogger #blogger #konceptizdavastvo #bakery #knjige #feelgoodbook #blogpost

This book will give you goosebumps; if you are starting to read it thinking that it is a rom-com then you are surely going to be disappointed. This book made me question a lot of things about the main lead “Lily”. It is surely a controversial book, as at the end it will make you question that what Lily did was 100% right or not. The gist is it’s a love story between a girl Lily and a boy Ryle and Lily’s childhood crush, Atlas. It’s about how Lily and Ryle met, they fell in love got married and Lily got to know about his violent behaviour yet decided to ignore it and somehow Ryle’s repeated apologies made her forgive him, but was her apology the best decision ? For that answer you have to read the book. Hoping to know your opinions….. #itendswithus #itstartswithus #lily #ryle #atlas #book #bookworm #booklover #novel #novels #books #bookstagram #bookaddict #bookphotography #bookblogger #booklove #bookrecommendations #sunset #sunsetlovers #sunsetphotography #bookrreview #bookandsunset

The Pick Up (eARC) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hannah Doyle Firstly, thank you @netgalley for the ARC. The Pick Up was a super cute, clean, laugh out loud, fake dating romcom about two single parents trying to survive and make an in with the other mums from their children’s school. I LOVED that the main characters were in their 30s and had children, I found this book highly relatable, in that sense. There was so much banter in this book & it wasn’t just from the main characters, the other mums in the school pick up clique brought so much humour. Good looking Irish Joe was such a great (fake) boyfriend. He was kind, caring, thoughtful and so so sweet. I’m not going to lie, Sophie took some warming up, she wasn’t my favourite but by the end of it, I really liked her. Between the two of them they had banter & tension, which is a match made in heaven if you ask me!

The Paris Apartment: A Novel Book by Lucy Foley Jess, a 26-year-old English woman, travels to Paris to visit her brother Ben, who was adopted by a rich family and given a fancy education. Jess left her job at a bar where she was harassed by her boss and stole a small amount of money to pay for her trip. However, upon arriving in Paris, she finds that Ben has disappeared. Despite asking her neighbors for help, they are uncooperative and all become suspects in her search for her brother. The book is told from multiple points of view, including the socialite, the nice guy, the alcoholic, the girl on the verge, and the concierge. The narration is straightforward, but at times it feels like the characters go off on tangents. The tone is suspenseful and mysterious, with a light thriller feel. The theme of the book is family and ambition, though the characters are not particularly relatable. They all have their good and bad qualities, making them complex and interesting. Initially, the book was slow and did not keep me interested. However, upon giving it a second chance, I found that the slow and steady drama was enjoyable. Despite the slow start, the ending was satisfying and made the book worth the read. #bookoftheday #theparisappartment #bookclub #bookrreview

W I L D L O V E 🗻🩷 ……………………………….. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️ …………….. “I broke every speed limit to get to you…” Everyone loves an Elsie Silver book. Especially the Chestnut Springs series. In Wild Love, we had: - A single dad - small town romance - forbidden best friends sister All the kinda trope I really enjoy, but… For me Wild Love did not hit it off like I thought it would have, especially with all the hype surrounding the book. I felt that the main characters just didn’t have that spark/ connection and it was a real struggle for me to read. To me, it also felt like there was not much of a plot in the book, and comparing it to the chestnut series, felt it really lacked. I gave the book three stars as it was an easy read and I did like that the characters were mature during the books and allowing the child to act like a child rather than making them so grown up. I would recommend this book simply for the easy read and that it is a follow on with the likes of Willa appearing in the book. But other than that, i probably wouldn’t read otherwise. QOTD: what’s a book that was hyped and you did not enjoy? ………… #bookstagram #elsiesilver #wildlove #bookworm #bookrecommendations #bookrreview #reviews #booksbooksbooks #readerofinstagram #reader #booklovers

ARC Review: Run Game Author: C.L. Rose 5 ⭐'s This book had me in a chock hold from the beginning! I swear I binged "Run Game" in just a few hours. The spice and depth of the characters Dia and Dalton are so relatable. Dia comes from a broken family and is strong and independent. She does not trust or let people in easily. Dalton is kind and sweet and refuses to give up on Dia. He shows her what it's like to be loved without needing to give anything in return. It all starts with a Vegas Wedding. The spice and chemistry between the two main characters is off the charts! I had to keep a straight face while reading this book with my husband in the same room!!! lol. The struggles and triamps of Dia and Dalton's relationship blossom pulled at my heart strings. I laughed and cried while rooting for Dia and Dalton to end up together in the end. Dalton: "And I'll do whatever it takes to make her happy. Even if it breaks me completely in the end." 🥹 Read if you Love: -Football/Dance Romance -He Falls First and Hard -Gilden Retriever MMC -Beoken Girl -Open Spice (the spice is 🥵🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️) -Found Family  -Vegas Wedding  -Hidden Relationship  -Forced Proximity  -Reverse Grumpy/Sunshine  Thank you so much to C.L. ✨Book Review✨ Lonely for You Only got me from its beautiful cover and brief mention of Harry Styles on the back cover. Scarlett is an heiress turning eighteen, and for her birthday surprise, her dad hires teenage has-been (from a boy band Scarlett loved when she was 15) Tate Ramsey. Their meeting inspires his music and again and he’s suddenly back on the charts, but his record label will only sign him if Scarlett pretends to date him. I wish they were older in this, at least a little. Eighteen felt so young for Scarlett and she felt immature at times. I also would’ve loved more depth to both of them, and more history to understand them both. The chemistry between them though is definitely there though and I loved how Tate looked out for Scarlett and how these two cared for each other. The end did feel pretty abrupt to me and I really wanted more growth from Scarlett. It’s a slow burn and I didn’t even know it was part of a series time after I finished it, so it can be read as a standalone. I enjoyed the premise, I enjoyed the banter and the two main characters, and it isn’t that this book didn’t work for me, I really just wanted a little more from it. Thank you @librofm for this ALC! Don’t sweat the small stuff 😰📚 ~ is a nice book to have on hand for moments when you’re stressed or need a reminder of when to let things go. In the scheme of things, it’s not that important but when you’re caught up in the detail of everyday, it’s easy to lose sight of what matters most. The book is an easy read, it’s hard hitting in a good way and a chance to reflect - reflect on what’s important, but also how you’re showing up as well. By this I mean to find empathy or humility or being slow to anger during heated moments. Choosing your battles and asking yourself is it actually worth the fight. The book is full of handy hints that I think anyone and everyone could benefit from :) Definitely a humble gem to have on the shelf. For anyone who might need to hear it - have fun and don’t sweat the small stuff xx Tbh it me, I needed to hear it 😅 - I read this book in January and it’s been sitting in my drafts. After the sweaty week I’ve had, the timing is on par to post it.

AD - PR Product Today is my stop on the @instabooktours tour for Kindling by @tracicheeauthor I was interested in this book from the off from the stunning cover, and when I read the summary, it was definitely one I knew I had to read. In a world where kindlings - teenage warriors with magical skills - were used in battle things are changing. Kindling are no longer forced to be soldiers, and 7 of them have been trying to find their place in a world. But a request from a village girl sets them on a dangerous path and after things might never be the same. The writing style in this book is different, and it took me a little while to get into. It's told in second person, but each chapter , you is one of these seven kindlings. So you dive into their head as much as in first person, but it almost feels more personal. And with how dark and heavy this book is? It really packed a punch. This book wasn't quite what I expected, but that was definitely a good thing. It explores PTSD and the effects of war, and it does so really well. I definitely teared up at a few points, and I was rooting for all the characters. Even though most of them were unlikeable at some points. I should also add that this book is queer. There's a sapphic romance, and one of the other characters is non-binary. Definitely gave the book bonus points for that. If you're at all curious about this book I highly recommend picking it up. Just make sure that you're in a good place mentally when you do. 4/5 Stars #kindling #instabooktours #Instabook #BookRreview #BookTour #BookPhotography #Bookstagram #BooksOfIG #ILoveReading #Instabook #BookNerd #booksbooksbooks #Bibliophile

Moc popisů a málo děje. Pozitivní věci se ovšem taky našly a to neskutečně krásná a opravdu kouzelná atmosféra celého cirkusu, který mi chvílemi připadal stejně tak reálný a nereálný (těžko se to popisuje). Celia a Marco. They were so cute! 3/5⭐️ #thenightcircus #nocnicirkus #book #books #bookstagram #bookworm #reader #bookrreview #bookstagram #bookblogger #bookstagramcz #booknerd #bookaddict #booklover #coffeeandbooks #library #love #kniha #knizka #cteni #knihy zdroj obrázků: Pinterest

#finchéilcaffèècaldo #toshikazukawaguchi #letturechefannobenealcuore #bestbook #letteraturastraniera #narrativastraniera #bookblogger #bookrreview #instabooks #instabookstagram #bookreviewer #reviews #recensionilibri #recensire #recensirelibri #letturenellanotte

Grazie ❤️ #esefedezetizianoferro #lorenzolombardidallamano #collaborazioni #collaborazioneeditori #collaborazionelibri #collaborazioniscrittori #bookblogger #bookrreview #book2024 #thrillerbooks #recensionilibri #bookreviewer #letturenellanotte

4/5⭐️ #thehike #lucyclarke #book #books #bookstagram #bookworm #reader #bookrreview #bookstagram #bookblogger #bookstagramcz #booknerd #bookaddict #booklover #coffeeandbooks #library #love #kniha #knizka #cteni #knihy zdroj obrázků: Pinterest

Pokud máte rádi napínavé a mrazivé příběhy plné akce, určitě doporučuji :) 4/5⭐️ #frombelow #podhladinou #book #books #bookstagram #bookworm #reader #bookrreview #bookstagram #bookblogger #bookstagramcz #booknerd #bookaddict #booklover #coffeeandbooks #library #love #kniha #knizka #cteni #knihy zdroj obrázků: Pinterest

ARC Book Review: A Taste of Whiskey By: Melissa Foster 5 ⭐'s This book was so full of spice and lust between the two main characters and I was here for it! Sasha and Ezra were childhood friends and became very close over the years.  Ezra is a single dad with the cutest kid, ever who absolutely adores Sasha. Both try to fight and ignore their feelings for each other because there is so much on the line. Ezra doesn't want to lose Sash's family or the  Ranch but neither can deny their feelings for each other. Sasha has always compaired every guy to Ezra. No one can hold a candle to him in her eyes.  They both end up deciding to try "friends with benefits" and that's when the spice and real feelings start to develop even more than they already were.  I could not put this book down! I may be headed into my cowboy Romance Era after A Taste of Whiskey! Grab your cowboy boots and get ready for a spicy ride with Sasha and Ezra!!  Read if you love:  - Friends to Lovers - Single Dad Trope - Friends with benefits - Cowboy Romance #bookrreview #bookrecommendations #cowboyromance #romancereader #spicyromance #booktockbooks #booktok #booklover @melissafoster_author

Buona vita! #protomorfosi #loriginedelcambiamento #collaborazioletterarie #collaborazione #collaborazionilibrose #recensionilibri #book2024 #bookblogger #bookstagramitalia #bookrreview #distopico #distopicbook #letturenellanotte

i have thoroughly enjoyed reading “Brink” and would urge readers who enjoy deep, lengthy novels that leave you craving more to give it a try. It’s from one of my top authors and is a personal favorite of mine! The book delves into the delicate intricacies of a forbidden romance between two individuals: Amrita, a highly educated woman grappling with suicidal tendencies stemming from family betrayal, and Somashekhar, a reserved architect struggling to express his emotions. Set against the backdrop of Mysore, their evolving relationship is tested by Amrita’s tumultuous mood swings and inner demons, leading to a cycle of love and hate. This compelling narrative sheds light on mental health and its profound impact on individuals and their relationships. Through raw and honest storytelling, Bhyrappa captures the dark labyrinth of the human mind, portraying emotions of love, compassion, loneliness, grief, and rage with depth and authenticity. This is not just a story; it’s a journey into the depths of the human psyche, where morality blurs, and characters grapple with their inner demons. Bhyrappa’s narrative doesn’t preach; instead, it delicately navigates the complexities of human relationships and the silent struggles of mental illness. 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly Recommend #bookrreview #brink #slbhyrappabooks #slbhyrappa #booklover #bookstagram #bookaddict #southindianbook #indianbook #indianauthor #desi #desiauthor #indian #bookrecommendations #bookreviewer #highlyrecommend #summerread #mentalhealth #menalthhealthbook #slbhyrappafan #india #read #readmorebooks #reading #readmore #mentalwellness #stressreliever #translatedbook #translatedfiction #translatedliterature

Two for one thrillers... I loved Stacy's first one, not so much the second, and then back for this one. About a group of roommates in college who share a property with a group of fraternity guys. Things go wrong when on a camping trip someone turns up dead and it's all because of one of the friends' past. I definitely didn't expect how it turned out and Stacy is a good writer! Solid quick pick The Only One Left also had me guessing but is definitely more on the slower thriller ride. An old murder and a new one, a Cast of characters and they are all suspects, and one main subject is going to figure it out. It was fun but not a big stand out...I listened to it and think that was a good way to go.

🕊 #ilnemico #ilnemicobook #davidecalì #sergebloch #sergeblochillustrator #illustrationbook #kidsbooks #nowar #peace #peace🕊 #recensionilibri #recensione #bookblogger #bookrreview #instabooks #bookrreviews #passionelettura #letturaattiva #lettureperragazzi #letturepercrescere #letturenellanotte

With the author being a Pulitzer winner, the writing was lovely. The story was heartbreaking on so many levels. Based on the real Malaga Island off the coast of Maine. The inhabitants originated from about three families and some societal defectors but they all built a nice life for themselves. The state of Maine comes in and reclaims the land which means breaking up families and uprooting ones that had been there a hundred plus years... It was a little slow, but since it's a shorter book I'm glad I kept going and finished it. Lovely and insightful but heartbreaking and unfortunate as well.

✴️ We all want things in our lives but only a few people work on them and achieve them. Why is that? They have clarity of what they want and make a plan. They visualize them every day and put their goals into action. If they fail, they won’t be disappointed or collapse. They have trust in the process and pick themselves up again. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ✴️ Manifesting, or making something happen in our lives, is entirely in your hands. You are the captain of your ship. Which way you want to sail, it’s your choice. If you don’t take a direction, your ship will be taken by the ocean currents, reality’s influences. You have to take responsibility for your life. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ ✴️ Let’s address the elephant in the room. I thought the book would be all about the Law of Attraction. But even if you take out the LOA concept, it still works. It has a soul and is dressed up with the manifesting concept. The book covers and reminds you of the important aspects. It pushes you to the alignment of goals in case you are derailed. It's a simple and comprehensive read. I recommend it.⁣ ⁣ #manifest #manifesting #bookrreview #bookloafer #avinashsai

I swooned. I had tears. I laughed. I fell in love with Oliver. This book was fast paced with suspense and sweetness. There were parts that broke my momma heart. It’s hard to read this story and not fall instantly in love with Oliver. I thought that his character was written beautifully. Although I do wish that we would have gotten more of his back story from the twenty-two years that he was missing, and more of him finding his way back into the real world. Clem and Gabe were wonderful supporting characters and brought a lot to the story. There were times throughout that Sydney kind of got on my nerves, she seemed to dramatize things a little too often. I really did enjoy this book and the writing did hold me captive until the very end. . . . . . . . . . . #romancebookreview #romancereads #romancereader #kindleunlimited #bookrreview #booksbooksbooks #bookstagram #bookworm #bookfriends

Today is a two-fer... Just finished both over the weekend. Long Bright River was a solid read. Can't remember the rec, but thank you. So well written. A thriller but not psychological and fast-paced..but a modern story well told. Two sisters with two different lives, one an addict on the street in Philadelphia, and one a cop patrolling the same streets. But when a serial killer emerges at the same time the sister goes missing, the other sister is on a mission to find her. Several secrets and twists are revealed but it's in such a different way than your typical bestseller thriller. Good read. Now.. into Loyalty. I just happened to pick this off the new releases shelf while I was waiting for something on my list to pop up. I admittedly have never heard of or read anything by this author before but seems to be a fairly prolific writer in the mystery space. And the topic of this book which is the origin of the mafia in Sicily immediately picqued my interest. It started out strong with many different characters and giving their backstories which I usually enjoy... However the author's writing style almost abruptly switched to my creative writing class project in 5th grade 🤣🤣🤣. I definitely would have dropped it very early on but it was very strange how it transitioned into almost a learning how to read basic style. I was already invested in the characters and story so I wanted to see how it ended. But I feel like if I even read it out loud to my children they would look at me with a raised eyebrow. Not trying to sound condescending but it would be very hard for me to recommend this book to anyone who follows this account since you are all avid readers. Again story was definitely interesting but the dialogue was beyond painful.

#bookstagram #Bookfluencer #elenaarmasbooks #elenaarmasauthor #elenaarmas #bookrreview #bookrecommendations #Bookfluencer #booklover #bookreader #romancereader #romancebookstagram #romancebooks #fútbol

Throne of glass review and annotations Throne of glass is my new Roman empire✨️✨️ "Throne of Glass" follows the story of Celaena Sardothien, an infamous assassin who is serving a life sentence in the salt mines of Endovier. However, she is offered a chance at freedom by the Crown Prince, Dorian Havilliard, on the condition that she competes in a deadly competition to become the king's champion. As Celaena navigates the treacherous challenges of the competition, she uncovers dark secrets about the kingdom and her own past. With elements of magic, romance, and intrigue, the book sets the stage for an epic fantasy saga. I started this series with The assassins blade, and I highly recommend it if you want hours of emotional damage! I absolutely adored how this book was written and all the mysteries that were thrown into the mix, It just made it so much more enjoyable✨️👀 Celaena is such a headstrong character that takes a stand for herself and what's right, but she also enjoys pretty clothes and getting a make-over. So she shows the best of both worlds 🤌 There was a little love triangle situation in the book that I was not 100% sure I liked because both the mmc's were two characters that I adored and didn't want Celaena to have to choose from😬 If you end up reading this series, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!!💖💖 #throneofglass #fantasybookreader #booksofinstagram #booksta #bookrreview #booklover

#stepback #sirocomencini #quiedit #basketball #basketballschool #sportbook #recensionilibri #bookrreview #bookblogger #bookstagramitalia #recensioni #passionelettura #letturenellanotte

❄️ January Book Reviews ❄️ This is my second year doing a reading journal, and while these reviews are a tad late, I thought I would share how I like to structure my journal when it comes to book reviews. I like to keep it fairly simple when doing reviews otherwise I get overwhelmed and won’t complete them if there’s too many things to complete. Let me know how you like it & if you have a reading journal of your own! _______________ 🏷️ #readingjournal #bookrreview #christmasincoconutcreek #maggiemoveson #lucyscore #chestnutspringsseries #reckless #hopeless #elsiesilver #wheninrome #practicemakesperfect #sarahadams

And yet.. he clearly needs comfort and affection. And that is one of the things I truly excel at. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 Amazing story. When fate decided to give Yulenna a chance to become an anchor for the spidae. So she will be under theirs protection and in exchange she will teach them humanity, emotions and how non-God behaves in different situations. It might sound like a strange deal, but she realizes and understands that it’s her only chance or she will be discarded and used by new master or masters (and god only knows will it be positive or negative experience), so she agreed to the preposition of spidae and moves to their castle. Spidae…they are like brothers but with unique abilities and personalities. And girl, it was fun to read about them. Their soft moments, jealousy, understanding and desire to be better…everything was so nice. Now i only have bigger books to read, but i’m so intrigued with all the lore we already have and all Gods whom we got a chance to meet. Many thanks to @alco_180 and her plans to make art for this series, so without any warning this book entered my tbr at the very start of this year. January Wrap-up! Okay okay, yes I know this is way late but here we are. Most of the books I read were actually pretty mid, not in a bad way but just nothing really to write home about. I did do my first reread jn years and I think I liked The Long Way Home even more the 2nd time around. I am a BJ apologist and that’s simply all there is to it . I also kicked off 2024 with cake decorating classes with my nieces , lots of great wine with good friends , a growing book club ❤️, and of course more golf . Favorite read : The Long Way Home #photodump #januarywrapup #januarydump #bookstagram #bookish #bookrreview #bookstagrammer #readmorebooks

I FINISHED HOFAS AND I HAVE THINGS TO SAY!!!! overall, I loved it! I have been feeling a bit melancholy though. For the past almost two years, I have been reading all of SJM’s books for the first time, then rereading them all to study for HOFAS. It almost feels like graduation. I’m excited to move on, but sad because I know I will never have the feeling of the energy with the anticipation of HOFAS being released. Please keep comments ✨ spoiler free ✨ QOTD: are you team archives or team caves? I’m team archives 😏 . . . . . . . #bookstagram #bookrreview #sjm #hofas house of flame and shadow crescent city

Against the Boards By: Cynthia Gunderson My rating - 3/5 ★ ★ ★ ▫️genre: romance ▫️trope: fake dating 📖 read if you like: cute banter, hockey romance, happy ending, Canadian setting Thoughts 💭 A fun romance read that was super quick and easy to get through. Emma, a photographer, finds Tyler’s drivers license in the parking lot of a grocery store. Tyler happens to be the newest hockey player on her brothers team. This unexpected meeting and for certain reasons they end up pretending to be in a relationship. This book was a very cute and light read. Perfect for anyone in a slump. I flew through this book but was still thoroughly entertained. Similar to most romance books with the fake dating trope, I found their reasons for fake dating not strong enough but could look over it. I also really loved reading about Canadian characters in a Canadian setting. It was cool to be able to relate to them going to a Moxies or a Tim Hortons :) I definitely recommend picking this one up the next time you want a cute and fluffy read! . . . 🏷 #book #bookstagram #booklover #books #bookstagram #bookrecommendations #bookrreview #booknerd #bookworm #bookcommunity #reading #bookaesthetic #read #readreadread #literature #reader #review #booktok #romance #comedy #romancebook #contemporaryromance #againsttheboards #canadianbook #canada🇨🇦 #romancereader #romancequotes #bookcover

Book: Friends Don’t by Leah Dobrinska Rating: 5/5 I am so thankful of bookstagram and found this book. I love this book so much and it’s a really nice cozy romance story. Poppy and Mack are such a great couple. It’s nice to see them grow together and moving forward in their lives. Also, I applaud Mack’s patience after everything he went through. I highly recommend this book for those who love a good small town romance. #books #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #booklover #booknerd #bookrreview #bookrecommendations #smalltownromance #reader #bookreviewer

Another Wednesday another review 🤸🏾‍♀️ Book: The Graham Effect Rating: 🩷🩷🩷💕 (3.5 stars) Publishing: Traditional Dates read: Jan 25-26 Earlier this month I read Icebreaker by Hannah Grace & this is basically the same book in a different font. And, unbeknownst to me when I read this book, The Graham Effect is actually a spin off of another series by Elle Kennedy. This book is the first in a series about a previous generation’s kids. Despite the lower rating I did really like this book. I liked seeing representation for women’s sports (I didn’t even know women’s hockey existed) & I liked seeing college athletes trying to balance school, personal lives, & their sport. The friends were so interesting that I can’t wait to read their stories & even before learning that this was a spin off, I loved seeing the parents in small bits. I think both Gigi & Luke had very realistic character growth throughout the book & it was heartwarming to read. This book also had less going on than Icebreaker. This isn’t necessarily good or bad, but I do think that it makes this book an easier read. One thing I didn’t love about this book was it seemed very white as far as characters. I don’t know if that’s because hockey is a very white sport, because they were at an Ivy League school (BIPOC can get into Ivys), or because of the location (New England). The only character who was a BIPOC was Mya (Black). Don’t get me wrong, I don’t need nor want white authors writing full blown BIPOC MCs but when you have an ensemble this big it’s always weird to me when there’s a lack of diversity. Another thing I wasn’t a fan of was GiGi sometimes stumbled into “I’m not like other girls” territory. She never shamed other women but there were a few lines where I side eyed her character. Finally this book was somewhat predictable. Icebreaker kept me on my toes but this book all “the twist” I figured out pretty quickly (especially the issue with Ryder & his name). All that being said I really liked this book & can’t wait for the rest of the books in the series (especially Beckett’s & Will’s). #bookstagram #blackgirlsreadtoo #bookrreview #romancereader
