*Nut butter mousse* When you are like me and simply CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT THE SWEET TASTE and at the same time try to watch your figure and health, this recipe will for sure draw your attention!!! It is #ketoapproved, nutty, chocolatey, with a matcha twist. . . The inspiration to this mousse came and her 5-minute Keto and sugar free peanut butter mousse. . I decided to change the kind of butter to sunflower seed one and add 1tsp of unsweetened Cocoa powder. I also added matcha tea powder to the whipping cream which si used as topping together with the dried raspberries. I devided cca 100ml to 30/70 and 30ml whipped with matcha powder and 70ml without. Then just combined them in the glasses. . The result was a very pleasant suprise... I simply loved it😁 you know this feeling when you taste something and all your taste buds vibrate?👆👆👆 . Tip: matcha powder has earthy taste (one of my friends even said, that it tastes like dirt😃) If used in small amounts, it gives a dessert a very nice twist. Just have in mine that less is more in this case. . . Nutrition per serving: 338Kcal, 4g net carbs, 34g fat, 4,4g protein . . I’ve been spending time in the sun where possible- but specifically when the sun is lower in the sky. Why? When the sun is lower, we get more UVA than UVB. UVA helps to release a substance called nitric oxide in the skin, which is responsible for many amazing metabolic mechanisms in the body. Some of these are: -Relaxation and vasodilation of blood vessels, therefore playing a role in lowering blood pressure (see study 1- and the table showing lower blood pressure in participants during summer months) -Higher sensitivity to insulin- where NO helps cells to recognise insulin properly, and therefore better control blood glucose levels. Study 2 shows lower HBA1c (a marker of blood glucose over time) in participants during summer months But what about minimising sun damage while still getting the benefits of NO? Well it actually looks like skin cancers are higher in diabetics and those with metabolic syndrome. Could skin cancer be more closely correlated to metabolic health than actual exposure? Maybe.. but this topic is controversial and needs more research. But it could give some insight in why cancers appear in places that are not often exposed.. So if we can prevent hypertension, keep blood glucose in control and avoid oxidative stress, we may be able to lower our chances of getting skin cancer. Diet and getting nutrient density may help as well. Study 3 shows successful skin cancer prevention with vitamin B3 supplementation and study 4 shows how high levels of omega 3 may help you to stay longer in the sun without burning, and also helps increase immuno-surveillance (so that our immune cells can be better at detecting potential cancer cells) Because B3 and omega 3 are high in good quality animal foods, it’s possible that a nutrient dense, animal based diet may be a really good way of getting all the benefits of sun exposure, while minimising any potential risks.. #nitricoxide #lowcarb #keto #ketigenic #ketosis #metabolichealth #animalbased #animalbaseddiet #carnivore #nutrientdense #nutrientdensity #skincancer

Ugyanez igaz fordítva , hiába eszel elegendő fehérjét vagy iszol fehérje turmixot edzés után ha az edzőteremben beszélgetsz és nyomkodod a telefonod és néha néha bele nyomsz a súlyba . An interesting review of the rates of new muscle protein creation and muscle protein breakdown in different situations. This is interesting because it shows that in all situations, including exercise, the participants were in more of a NEGATIVE protein state UNLESS they were eating sufficient amino acids. Another interesting takeaway was the amount of muscle protein synthesis in just exercise alone- almost as muscle as the sedentary group that were ingesting amino acids. Non surprisingly- the group that was in the greatest positive protein synthesis was the group that combined amino acid ingestion with resistance exercise. One of the MANY benefits of exercise is the increase in insulin sensitivity and mitochondrial function. When we exercise, our body breaks down stored fuels to make ATP (energy). When we break these fuels down, we create products like ROS which serve as signalling molecules to tell the body what’s happening, and also to naturally protect the body from oxidation inducers like exercise. This is mitohormesis. Basically the body is creating factors to adapt to body stressors, making it stronger. In the case of exercise, the body will up regulate mitochondrial function and insulin sensitivity so that next time you exercise, there will be more energy available and more capacity to use it. Interestingly, when we take in antioxidants exogenously, we stop this natural process from happening. The body creates oxidants, but not the natural antioxidants. If we are giving the body an antioxidant, why would it bother creating its own? And therefore, this metabolic adaption can’t occur. Once again, we are left with the conclusion, let the body do what it does best, and quit trying to muck with the system… An interesting note: Saturated fat and starch create more ROS when broken down (and therefore more ENdogenous antioxidants) Linoleic acid creates less when broken down (and therefore less endogenous antioxidants) Just something to think about… #saturatedfat #polyunsaturatedfat #ketigenic #ketogenesis #training #exercise #insulinsensitivity #healthyfats

Another possible piece to the overeating puzzle… This article examined whether or not being deficient in protein made people crave it! Interestingly, the ‘umami’ flavour (sometimes considered the 5th taste), has been proposed as the market for protein in foods. This is due to the presence of an amino acid called glutamate. Many processed foods these days contain the artificial flavouring MSG, which provides the food with the umami taste (and thus simulates the presence of protein). As this study shows, when they are protein deficit, people will instinctively find umami foods more appealing and thus will more likely over eat them. This may explain part of the protein leverage hypothesis- where people will overeat until their protein requirements are met. Unfortunately however, when deficient, we instinctively reach for these MSG filled foods, looking for the umami taste (and the protein that it doesn’t contain). We then overeat them, but we are never able to fulfil the protein requirement. Findings such as this are useful because they may explain, in part, the reason why people find artificial savoury foods so appealing, and why they are so easy to over eat. This also highlights how important it is to prioritise foods in their natural, unprocessed state. Especially for those that struggle with binging behaviour.. So maybe the best thing to do when getting massive savoury/umami cravings? Why insulin is not the devil, but in fact kinda cool 😎 Basically your body is poised to melt down any tissue for use in a survival situation. Say you’re completely starving- in order to NOT DIE 😳your body will pretty much throw any stored fuels into the bloodstream, so it can be used as energy. Glucagon plays a huge role in this. (As do other players like epinephrine, nor epinephrine, cortisol etc) It’s like a lead foot on the accelerator- where if insulin isn’t there to stop it, you’ll have wide open lipolysis (fat breakdown), flooding the blood with fatty acids from fat stores and glucose from the liver and muscle. An example of this is a type 1 diabetic.. they are basically melting down their entire body, and fuels are maxed out in the blood stream because insulin isn’t there to stop it. Once you give them insulin, it all comes to a big halt. The pancreas is constantly monitoring for fuels in the bloodstream (like a thermostat). If fatty acids go too high, insulin brings it back down. This is important because having too much of any fuel in the bloodstream is toxic for the body. So the little spikes in insulin that are experienced post meal are actually necessary to take excess fuels out of the blood and put them away (where they can be used or stored), and not allowed to become toxic in the blood. (Note: It’s more the basal insulin that can show problems as the body is likely running out of places to put the excess fuels.) And if you give the body larger places to put those fuels (like muscles), they won’t need to be packed away into the fat stores. Not only that, but when stored away in muscle, they can be readily available for energy when you need it. Thank you muscle 🤌 And insulin.. Carnitine is actually essential for fat oxidation (burning). It plays a major role in shuttling the little fatty acids into the mitochondria, once inside the cell. Carnitine can be made in our bodies, but the majority of it comes from our diet (meats and dairy products). Unfortunately when you don’t consume carnitine in your diet, you are relying solely on the carnitine your body creates. So you can become deficient if you are not consuming animal products. And because carnitine plays such a massive role in energy production and utilisation, if you become deficient, things can start to turn to shit…and on top of being energy deficient, you won’t be burning any fat. Did you know that you can’t actually ‘burn fat’ without CARNITINE? Carnitine plays a role in shuttling the little fatty acids you’ve eaten, from the cytosol, into the mitochondria (where energy is created). It’s one thing to get the fatty acids into the cell, it’s another to get it into the mitochondria. Basically, it allows for the fatty acids to utilised as energy. We do make carnitine, but we also rely heavily on our diet to provide it. And there have been cases where people have developed deficiencies (vegetarians). The best sources of carnitine are meats and dairy products, especially muscle meat and heart. Thermic effects of food, and why higher protein consumption is essential during weight loss! There are several mechanisms as to why a higher protein percentage will help during a weight loss phase. The main ones I’d say are: • higher nutrient density effect on satiety and protein leveraging • Influence on gut hormones that relate to satiety- GIP, GLP1 • inhibition of ghrelin secretion • maintenance and growth of muscle • thermic effect (DIT) Unlike the other macronutrients, protein breakdown requires a more intensive process. Compared to CHO (5-10%) and FAT (around 3%), 25-30% of protein consumed will be ‘burnt off’ just processing the protein. This is another reason why Protein Sparing Modified Fasts are extremely effective. In addition to a low amount of total energy for that day (via lowered fat and carbohydrates), and utilisation of stored fat, the high ingestion of protein and thus higher thermic effect, greatly change the actual caloric intake. So, if you are in a fat loss phase, you can either use #psmf days as a tool (no more than 2-3 days per week), or you can harness the overall awesomeness of protein by simply increasing the overall percentage in your diet. The more you increase the protein percentage of your diet, the lower your other macronutrients will go naturally. And a reduction of either carb or fat in favour of protein is shown to be effective in overall fat loss. Kockahas? Ugyan már! Mindig mindent gyorsan akarunk , azonnal vagy nagyon rövid időn belül , legyen az pénz , normális párkapcsolat vagy csak egy alakformálás. Az igazság az , hogy rohadtul meg kell dolgozni bármiről is legyen szó . Nincs csoda szer vagy varázs krém amit januárban el kezdesz kenni vagy szedni és nyárra kockahas lesz vagy feszes , narancsbőr mentes popsi . Főleg akkor nem ha az életed nagy részét eddig úgy élted le (mint én ) , hogy mindig is több 10 vagy akár 20kg súly felesleg volt rajtad . A gond az , hogy nagyon tudunk hirtelen nagyot álmodni 😀 egyből kocka has vagy feszes popsi KELL , de sajnos ez normális úton lehetetlen . Nyilván ha van felesleges 10 millád akkor egy plasztikai sebész össze tud rakni , láttunk már ilyet ,főleg Amerikában ! Maradjunk a természetes úton és az elérhető vagy beteljesíthető célok kitűzése mellett .
