💌 Letters of Enchantment Duology 💌 Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 🌶️🌶️ 🌶️ 💧💧💧 Read of you like: 💓 Rivals to lovers 👩🏼‍🤝‍👩🏻 Found family ✨ Unique magic system 💭 Dual POV ⚜️ Historical Fantasy I looooooved these books so much! The plot for this duology is just incredible and I loved reading about the typewriters and the letters, such a unique concept and probably my favourite part. I read these books back in February and I’m still thinking about them! The main characters are just perfection and the side character are beautifuly written. I love the world that Ross has created, one with similarities to our own but with magic and gods. The writing is almost poetic throughout both books which made it such a lovely read. The only reason that I’ve not given this a full 5 stars is because I really didn’t like the third person narrative. It took me ages to get used to and made me feel less immersed in the world. This is purely my personal opinion and shouldn’t take away from how amazing these books are. Overall, these books are incredibly and @beccajross has done the most amazing job writing them. 10/10 highly recommend to all YA and fantasy lovers! ⭐️review⭐️ The ashes & the star cursed king is the second book in the nightborn duet by Carissa Broadbent. This is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/5 and 🌶️🌶️/spice read for me! I adored the first one so much and I had high hopes for this book, they ALMOST surpassed book 1. lol this book takes place directly after the events of book 1 and I loved that! However, this book took a little bit longer for me to get into (hence the 4.5 ⭐️). But about 30% in, it took off like a freight train and I DEVOURED the book from then on! When I tell you that this book BROKE me, I mean I was BAWLING at work today! That’s how much I loved these characters. All in all, this book was the perfect 2nd book to book 1. I highly, highly recommend to anybody who has not read this duet! Do it, do it now! 🤩😍 #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookreview #4andahalfstars #theashesandthestarcursedking #carissabroadbent

Mile high- Liz tomforde ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Mile high was a 4 and a half star read for me now I finished this book about a week and a half ago and have only just started to do my mini review so bare with me.. First of zanders! Fuck boy/bad boy hockey player for the public eye but has the kindest of hearts who will dress up as Elsa and go trick or treating for Halloween for his niece. But he keeps his kind heart out of the public eye afraid of rejection. Stevie a flight attendant for a hockey team she didn’t let zanders get to her she told him what was what, this got under zanders skin so he kept pressing the call button for stevie only. Stevie is a curvy girl with insecurities now my heart went for this girl from one to another I spilled a few tears of sadness and joy! I don’t want to give to much away but this book is a must read and I can’t wait to start reading the others. Zanders and Stevie I just love you! 🥰 #bookreview #milehigh #series #booktok #milehighseries #milehighliztomforde #liztomfordeauthor #review #romance #hockey #hockeyromance #read #bookinsta #smut #4andahalfstars #love #doubletap #follow #bookaccount

Title: P.S You’re Intolerable by Julia Wolf - A Quirky and Heartfelt Romance Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ Tropes Grumpy/Sunshine
Curvy FMC
Close Proximity
Single Mother
Boss/Assistant Julia Wolf’s “P.S You’re Intolerable” offers a delightful mix of humor, heart, and real-life struggles. The story follows pregnant mom Catherine and her unlikely connection with Elliot, a seemingly gruff individual in need of an assistant. The narrative unfolds with witty notes and humorous banter, providing a unique and engaging dynamic between the characters. The book adeptly addresses real-life issues, particularly the challenges of single parenthood, adding depth and authenticity to the storyline. While Elliot may not immediately win readers over, the gradual reveal of his character’s layers enhances the overall reading experience. The chemistry between the main characters is palpable, and the incorporation of popular romance tropes, such as the Grumpy/Sunshine dynamic, a Curvy Female Main Character, Close Proximity, and the Boss/Assistant relationship, adds to the enjoyment. Wolf’s skillful pacing ensures the reader’s engagement from the first chapter. Despite being part of a series, “P.S You’re Intolerable” functions well as a standalone novel. For fans of humor-infused romance, relatable characters, and a touch of realism, this book earns its place on the must-read list. #PSYoureIntolerable #JuliaWolf #RomComReads #BookishHumor #HeartwarmingRomance #BookRecommendation #BookLove #ReadingTime #BookishDelight #QuirkyRomance #SingleMomLife #GrumpySunshineLove #BossAssistantDynamics #BookishEscape #MustRead #BookWorms #CurvyHeroine #CloseProximityRomance #BookNook #WeekendReads #BookReview #BookCommunity #RomanceReaders #4AndAHalfStars

⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️. 5 stars! I was drawn to this book at first strictly because of the title, but immediately after reading the synopsis… I knew I was purchasing it. All I can say is I am glad I went with my gut decision to purchase it, because I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I really haven’t read a book with this writing style or plot before. I’ve seen many movies that were similar (think Clue or Knives Out), but reading it was a different experience. I lovedddd that the author was still able to provide us with some humor throughout the book even though the subject matter was very serious. I mean this is not a spoiler but, the title of this book doesn’t lie- the Cunningham family is full of people who have killed others! I also enjoyed how the book went through discussing the different members of the family and telling their side stories which eventually made sense to the ongoing murder investigation. Things started to eventually fit together like a puzzle and everything was finally brought to light by the narrator. The narrator, Ern, had a job as a writer who wrote how to books about how to write murder mysteries. Because of this, he made the perfect narrator… and it kept me intrigued and finding myself flipping pages at warp speed to see if I could figure everything out. I couldn’t, and I didn’t… but I loved that because the twists kept on coming. I actually said “whattttttt!?!” out loud so many times that my husband even became interested in what was going on without reading the book! If you’re a fan of whodunnits, or you’ve been thinking about possibly giving one a try… I highly suggest this one! One of the last scenes where Ern lets everyone know exactly what happened/had been going on was a CRAZY mic drop moment, and it was so so sooo good! #benjaminstevenson #everyoneinmyfamilyhaskilledsomeone #bookreview #bookstagrammer #bookstagram #4andahalfstars #murdermystery #whodunnit

✨ Book Review ✨ 4.5 ⭐️ I absolutely loved this book! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I felt like some of the dialogue and characters opinion of mental illness and depression was a little skewed. That and there was a lot of the word ‘said’ around the dialogue and I was screaming for a different verb. That may just have been me though 🤷🏼‍♀️ Definitely worth a read! P.S. I just finished speak by laurie halse anderson and gave it 4.5 out of 5 ⭐️! after reading this book’s pseudo-sequel, shout, for our banned book club, I wanted to pick this one up and see more of the story. I think that this book was done really well and flowed well with more of a story feel. this book is about a fictional character, melinda’s life experiences in her ninth grade year after a pretty traumatic experience of abuse during the summer. though the character is fictional, many of the stories are taken from laurie’s real experiences. this book made me feel heard and seen and I think that it perfectly encapsulates what it feels like to be a young woman. I appreciated the metaphors, the addressing of what it feels like to be silenced, the symbolism, and the life lessons. go check out this book! #readbannedbooks #bannedbooks #notobookbans #freadom #shout #speak #lauriehalseanderson #speakbylauriehalseanderson #read #poetry #booktok #bookstagram #reading #readingreviews #spritch #bookreviews #books #memoirs #poems #metoo #4andahalfstars #speakup #survivors #bannedbookreviews #fictionbooks #goodreads #storygraph

📚Book Review📚 Mary: An Awakening of Terror | Nat Cassidy 4.5/5 stars I feel a little radicalized by this book. I felt like at its core it was a story about aging and the sense of you hit a certain age and your life is “over”. Mary felt relatable, and as the story progressed I liked that her character was more than just about a put upon l gal and victim of circumstance, but rather a character that had a lot of gray and ambiguity to her. I felt at times some of the paranormal aspects were a “get out of jail free” card, and that kept it from being a 5 star for me, but not by much. The isolation of the town and this idea of “being good” as a message that women are given as a means of navigating the world was fantastic. If you want a different kind of coming of age story, I would recommend. #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #booksta #bookish #bookishthings #review #bookreview #reader #reading #mary #maryanawakeningofterror #recommended #4andahalfstars #closerto5

💍Review💍 I adore Beth O’Leary’s writing. She has a way of making her books so cozy and comforting and warm. I always finish her books with the warm fuzzies inside and I love that feeling. This was no different. Was a cozy, heartwarming read. It doesn’t happen often that I enjoy the storyline just as much as the romance but this was one of those times. I loved the story of the Forest Manor hotel and the family built there. I worried for them going under and rooted for them to be saved. I got invested in the ring search and the possible donations and investments. And this was on top of loving the characters and the love story developing. Now; most of the time the miscommunication trope is on the top of my list of least favourites. I usually hate it. I didn’t hate it this time. A testament to this author’s writing and way with words. I knew the moment Izzy described what happened with Lucas that he never got the card, even when she insisted he had. I love that he made all this effort to turn their friends with benefits thing into more and felt sad for him when he said he wanted to go home after yet another miscommunication. And the big airport grand gesture thing? Not something I’d usually enjoy but I liked this one. A lot. Wonderful read and just the cozy book I needed! 📚The Wake Up Call by Beth O’Leary: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 ~ 4.5 stars (4 on Goodreads) #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookreview #bookrating #romcombooks #romancereader #contemporaryromance #romancebooks #romance #bookrecs #bookrecommendations #romancereadersofbookstagram #romcomreadersofbookstagram #romancereadersunite #romcomreadersunite #4andahalfstars #thewakeupcall #betholeary #books #reading #bookworm

Dead of Winter, by Darcy Coates ❤️ I really enjoyed this one, but that comes as no surprise as a lover of most of her books! It may not be the dead of winter, but the time of year aligns well with the setting. Her characters are complex and well written. Just enough horror and gore to captivate horror and non-horror readers. It’ll keep you guessing. I devoured it! The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 is because throughout parts of the book I thought it had it figured out. Turns out I did, but was t always so sure. 🐴Review🐴 I had heard such good things about this book and I loved Tis the Season for Revenge so I had no doubts going into this one that I would enjoy it. I loved the title, the play in words and the fact that the original saying which was changed also fits the character. Big Nick Energy indeed. I am usually not a big fan of stories that contain any form of abuse, even if the main character is escaping from it, but this one was done well and it didn’t bother me. The topic was dealt with well and wasn’t the entire focus. I love a good he falls first story and this certainly fit the bill. The whole elf on the shelf ordeal was too cute and all the effort he put in for her and for the girls. Have to agree with Shae though, avoiding her elf on the shelf for as long as possible is the right idea! Haha. They had a lovely relationship that developed well and I love the whole “he makes her feel safe” dynamic. It’s a sweeter version of “who did this to you?” though I wouldn’t have complained if that had been thrown in there too. Lovely festive read! 📚Bug Nick Energy by Morgan Elizabeth: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 stars (4 on goodreads) #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookreview #bookrating #romcombooks #romancereader #contemporaryromance #romancebooks #romance #bookrecs #bookrecommendations #romancereadersofbookstagram #romcomreadersofbookstagram #romancereadersunite #romcomreadersunite #4andahalfstars #bignickenergy #morganelizabeth #books #reading #bookworm

🔥 𝗛𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 - 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 🔥 𝗕𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗝 𝗠𝗮𝗮𝘀 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 Now that’s more like it! After reading the first two books of this series .. I hate to say it but I wasn’t sold on it. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the first two books but I just felt a bit underwhelmed .. especially due to the amount of hype that this series has surrounding it. However, Heir of Fire was soooo much better. Maas really stepped it up a gear with this one. The introduction of a number of different characters was something I really enjoyed. Especially because each of them had a unique link to the story and they each had very likeable personalities. I thoroughly enjoyed the way that this book followed a different character per chapter (Celeana, Chaol, Dorian, Manon) - this really allowed for character development and gave me as a reader a great opportunity to learn more about how each of them ticked. Heir of Fire had compelling storylines, loveable characters and fast paced action. It also played on my emotions, which as a reader I love. This one is (so far) my favourite of the series and if it continues like this, then I’ll be happy because it can only get better from here. #bookreview #bookreviewer #newreview #4andahalfstars #heiroffire #sarahjmaas #throneofglassseries #celeanasardothien #bookphotography #paperbacks #fantasy #fantasyseries #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #reading #readingtime #morebooksplease

REVIEW: The Final Strife, Book 1 in the Ending Fire Series by Saara El-Arifi Genre: Adult - Fantasy Rating: 4.5⭐️ 📚 The Final Strife is without a doubt one of the best fantasy books I have read in a long time. I have been in such a book slump for months. While I have still been reading, anything I picked up has taken me forever to get through and I have struggled to find the motivation to read anything… until I picked up this book. While The Final Strife does take some time to build up this brutal world, I was so fascinated and intrigued by this world and the concept of the different ‘bloods’ I was immediately obsessed with this book. It just got better and better as it went on and I honestly cannot recommend this enough. 📚 The Final Strife is a bit of a heavy read at times. It tackles some real important issues such as drug addiction, discrimination and family violence. While these are some heavy topics, it is done in a fantastic way that makes you feel so much for the characters, and you don’t end up feeling depressed by it. You end up dying to see it they’re going to overcome it! 📚 If you’re looking for your next Romantasy fix, you’re not going to find it here. There is a little bit of a sapphic romance which was so sweet and adorable but it is definitely a sub plot and not a main focus! Although the stories are very different, I kind of got Daevabad vibes from this book. Don’t get me wrong plot wise they are nothing alike but I would just categorise them together as really strong, female dominated, plot focused fantasy books… i.e. my favourite kind! 📚 If you’re looking for a new fantasy book to lose yourself in, become obsessed and for it to shake you to your core… look no further. This is it! There were so many twists and turns that I did not see coming. I genuinely was left mouth agape at the end of this book going…. WHAT?!?!?! I loved everything about this book. It was utterly fantastic! 📚 #bookstagrammer #bookblogger #bookish #bookreviewer #bookaddict #bookstagram #booknerd #bookdragon #books #booklover #booklove #over30sbookstagram #review #bookreview #4andahalfstars #fantasy #saaraelarifi #thefinalstrife

🧳Review🧳 I really enjoy Sophie Cousens as a writer. Even though there’s usually no spice (I’m not a huge fan of fade to black these days) I don’t miss it with her books because of how much I enjoyed the writing and the story. She has such unique storylines and her books are just cozy reads. I finished this book pretty quickly because I couldn’t put it down. I loved the concept of it and the way our main character Laura goes on a search for the mystery suitcase man. I did, however, know from the moment Ted showed up that he’d be more to her than a tour guide. Fairly obvious but still so well written. A lot of the time when I’m reading books I find the backstory not as interesting as the romance. I can often find myself skipping forward or reading quickly to get back to the romance bits. Not with this book. I loved the story of Laura’s parents and the coin and the island and Ted and his dad and the article. All of it. Such a lovely, heartwarming story. I cannot wait to read more from this author! 📚Just Haven’t Met You Yet by Sophie Cousens: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 stars (4 for Goodreads) #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookreview #bookrating #romcombooks #romancereader #contemporaryromance #romancebooks #romance #bookrecs #bookrecommendations #romancereadersofbookstagram #romcomreadersofbookstagram #romancereadersunite #romcomreadersunite #4andahalfstars #justhaventmetyouyet #sophiecousens #books #reading #bookworm

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ - Iron Flame Holy smokes, this book! 😍 It does NOT suffer from second book syndrome. She crushed this one. Yes there were parts that annoyed me and I’m not referencing some of the characters she introduces in this book that make you want to rage. 😅 I just feel this was very well done. Strong plot line, an annoyingly intense cliffhanger, and with 3 books left to go, enough open ended situations to still fully dive into. Couple of “cons”: - Some points around Xaden and Violets relationship seemed repetitive. - I was hoping for a bit more relationship development and dialogue with the dragons. It was there just not as heavy as I was hoping for. - The Dain situation seemed relatively anticlimactic. - A certain scenario in this book reminds me of another book who’s plotline I didn’t really care for. So I’m hoping it’s not super similar and/or is done differently. Pros: - Relationship/character development across the board (with the humans, obviously based on my comment above 😉). - Action - any one else get nervous during any type of action situations, with an author who has no care in the world who they kill? Or just me? 😅 - Plot twists - Rebecca nails these and will have you saying, “well shit”, several times. - New character introduction - lawwwddd one of them gives major Umbridge vibes…if you know you know. 🫠 Now to wait for #3’s release date…👀🤞 #ironflame #ironflamerebeccayarros #novemberbooks #novemberbookreleases #bookreview #4andahalfstars #booksbooksbooks #bookstagram

REVIEW: A Fire in the Flesh, Book 3 of The Flesh and Fire Series by Jennifer L Armentrout Genre: Adult - Fantasy Romance Rating: 4.5⭐️ 📚 At the end of A Light in the Flame, Sera was taken captive by Kolis and so this book focused a lot on Kolis and let me tell you… he is the most messed up character I think Jen has ever written. He is not right in the head. And because we get to see a lot more of Kolis that we ever have before, this book get dark in places. Honestly, the first half of the book took me a long time to get through it. This is the slowest I have ever read a JLA book, and for me it’s because of the darker themes surrounding Kolis. I struggle quite a bit with dark themes. I don’t read dark romance, I don’t read horror because I get so involved in books that I genuinely feel what the characters are going through. So the darker nature of Sera’s time with Kolis made it a difficult read for me. There were times I felt sick by the things Kolis was saying that I had to put the book down and have a break. And it really is a testament to Jennifer’s phenomenal writing skills that she genuinely made me have that strong of a reaction. 📚 This book was honestly amazing. It was a fantastic instalment of a great series. One tiny little gripe that I do have is, because we saw a lot more Kolis in this one (which let’s be honest was needed for us to start getting towards the end of this series), I missed a lot of the other characters that I’d come to love so much in this series. So for me, there just wasn’t enough of my favourite characters. I wish there had been a little bit more of a balance of them. But other than that this book is fantastic. If you think you love Ash already… you know nothing. He just gets better and better with each book and I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book and see how their story reaches its conclusion. This is an absolute must-read and it has just made me so much more excited for the fourth and final book in the Flesh and Fire series! Go read this one… now! 📚 To see the full unedited review visit the blog link in my bio.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ - The Dark Window I had 0 expectations for this book. I didn’t know what I was getting into. I didn’t do research prior to reading it, with the exception of skimming the synopsis. This was a fresh take on fantasy/magic. It was an atypical plot line that left me curious for more. I liked Ravyn and Elspeth’s character development and relationship. I thought the world building and side characters were well developed and held their own as well. Great read, I wanted to know more about the “nightmare” she was stuck with and that itch to know more in this first book, annoyed me enough to take the half star. 😜 #thedarkwindow #duology #book1of2 #bookreview #booksbooksbooks #bookstagram #4andahalfstars #ontothenextchapter #booknerdmommy

🏄‍♀️Review🏄‍♀️ I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I have always been a fan of Sophie Kinsella. I think her books are what started me on my adult Romance reading journey. I have every single one and have always loved them. This book was no different: I adored it. To start with such a relatable topic, one that a lot of us have experienced in our lives, of burnout, of feeling like we are stuck and then add in all these wonderful, vibrant characters and settings. The hotel and the people there made me smile and laugh so much. It was something out of a comedy of errors: so many quirky things and people everywhere you turned. The characters were all people I wanted to meet in real life. Except Joanne. Not her. And the story of Terry and the surf lessons and the accident and the young lovers painting. It only added to the wonderful story that was developing between Sasha and Finn. I do love characters named Finn. Something about that name. I really enjoyed this story. A wonderful flight hearted, poignant tale with a band of characters you want to be real and a setting you want to visit.
