Il nous a aussi suivies pendant les divers ateliers et j'ai hâte de découvrir d'autres images qu'il a "saisies au vol", de ces moments magiques vécus ensemble. J'ai aussi mis les portraits de Marianna, Florence et Alexia, 3 femmes que j'ai pu "enfin" rencontrer "en vrai" (Alexia, on avait eu un petit bonus déjà à Paris !). Chacune d'elles m'a accompagnée, coachée, aidée durant ces dernières années, à devenir celle que je suis aujourd'hui. Elles m'ont toujours encouragée et soutenue, et je ressens un profond respect et beaucoup d'amour pour chacune d'elles. She started by complaining that her husband doesn’t give them time. The man is always away from home. He leaves early and returns back at 10pm. Sometimes he goes on long trips and spends a week. Am really fed up of this.. I asked her: What’s your husband’s profession? “Construction Engineer” she answered. Does your husband provide? Yes , he does. Does your husband pay rent? Yes , he does. “When your husband goes away do you lack anything” Not all , he gives every and even leaves us with emergency cash of 170k!! “So what do you want?” I asked “Money is not enough. I want him to give us more time” she answered. Then you have a problem in your head. A man was not created to be home all the time!! A man is like a #King. He can’t be available all the time. His presence is a privilege. The moment he’s available in full, he’ll be abused. He’ll end -up washing utensils and cleaning the house. STOP crying for his presence!! You won’t use his #presence to pay bills. He MUST be away at work(even if he’s not always at work 😉) That’s a good man!!
Last week's question was – “What gives you energy?” and I invited you to think about this question for seven days. What have you been noticing? In the last nine years of my practice of working out what gives me energy, I have also had a good look at what takes my energy. In my experience, what gave me energy in the past no longer gives me energy, and vice versa. Currently, in my life, what takes away my energy is: Constant complaining and negativity – To me, there is a difference between going through a hard time and using continuous complaining and negativity to process the world. Doing things, I don’t want to do - This is different from doing something I don’t want to do but have to do because it aligns with what I ultimately want to do. Being out on a weeknight takes my energy from my sleep and all the things I want to do in my waking hours the next day. I don’t just work outside. But its where my happiness is, working in the open air, challenging convention, doing things unconventionally (compared to a lot of what I used to do!) helping leaders see beyond their perceived levels of actualisation. Much of what I do is deep in the boardroom building high performance teams shaping vision, recruiting for values and importantly personality. Much of the strength of a leader is how they make people feel. One’s smile and the glint in their eye can be the most important attribute. Their presence, how they dress and the clever ability they have to mirror their client or team whilst raising their energy too. Smiling with confidence, with poise, having an ability to listen, to lean in and hear what others say is powerful – all these are silent actions, but the most powerful. How we smile, how we look within our leaders when we speak is important. Our presence, is it within our hand on the phone, or with the leader… importantly always remember your smile, how do you want your leaders to feel when you leave them.
