Apple 🍎 cider vinegar has the potential to improve BMI, body fat ratio, weight and waist and hip circumferences, a March 2024 study on 120 young Lebanese individuals with excess weight and obesity. It is widely used for weights loss but I do not believe any one ingredient, alone, can help you shed weight. It is a diversity of plants in your diet, staying away from ultra-processed, sugar-dense and refined flour products, and a healthy lifestyle that can bring you to a normal weight. You can have apple cider vinegar in salad dressings, for example I pair it with flaxseed oil on raw veggies salads. Flaxseed is another go-to ingredient for me given its good omega6-omega3 ratio. The study on apple cider vinegar found the maximum benefits to happen at 15ml per day for 12 weeks (a tablespoon). You can also dilute the vinegar in water (1 tbsp vinegar with 250ml water) but, just to stay on the safe side, I would rinse my teeth after. Also don’t have it on an empty stomach if it provokes unpleasant reactions. My recommendation is to have it in dressings or cooking, alongside food.
