Ayyyyy ben bu kitabı her an yiyebilirim.🫠 Hani ilk kitap için bir tık yavaş akıyor demiştim ya bunda asla öyle bir şey olmadı. Kitabı vakti olan bir insan okurken yutar o biçimdi.🫠 Konumuz bir tık karışık malum seri içerisinde farklı türleri bir araya getiren bir seri.( Fantastik, dönem,gizem vs vs) İlk kitabın sonunda ikinci kitap için yazar bize yeni bir cinayet sunuyordu. Ve ölüm meleğimiz Signa bu cinayetin peşine düşer. Tabi ona en büyük desteği bir önceki kitapta kurtardığı ve kaderlerinin bağlandığı kuzeni Blythe verir. ( Ara ara destekten çok köstek oldu hanımefendi ama olsun.) 🤣 Bir cinayetin peşinde dönen, hem fantastik hemde dönem kurgusu. Ve yeni bir karakterimiz kitapta baş gösterir: Kader ( Ölümün düşman kardeşi namı diğer prens Aris) Kader gelir ve Thorn Grove malikanesini alt üst eder. Bu cinayete birazcık el atmış olabilir. Sebebi ise yıllar önce ölümün kendisinden aldığı sevgili eşinin reenkarnesini bulmaktır. Bu reenkarne' nin Signa olduğunu düşünür. Böylece Kader - Ölüm ve Signa arasında çatışmalar peyda olur. Normalde hiç bir kitapta ikinci erkek karakteri sevmem ama Kader' e bayıldım. Reenkarnesini aradığı eşine olan bağına, sevgisine, hayran kaldım. ( Kitabın sonunda eşini öğreniyoruz ) Deli gibi üçüncü kitabı merak ediyorum şuan. Ciddi anlamda farklı bir fantastik kurgu isteyenler için seri muazzam. Selammm Millet 🤗🤗 Bugün sizlere uzun zamandır beklettiğim bir kitabın yorumuyla geldim. Normalde konusuna dair hiçbir fikrim yokken sadece kapak tasarımına vurulup almış olduğumu biliniz lütfen.🤣 Daha sonra okuduğum diğer yorumlardan yola çıkarak kitabın fantastik olduğunu öğrendim. Ama sadece fantastik demek kesinlikle çok basit tutar bu kitabı. Kitabın içerisinde hem fantastik, hem dönem (18.yy) hemde polisiyeye yatkınlık var. ( Ortaya bir harman oluşturulmuş.) Konusuna gelecek olursak; Signa Farrow' un tüm ailesi henüz o bebekken, düzenledikleri balo da can verir. Ölüm adlı varlık ( bildiğimiz Azrail işte 🤣) Signa' yi sağ bırakır sadece. Kader bu ya yıllar boyunca ölüm Signa' nin cevresindeki herkesi birer birer alır gider. Ve Signa kendisini yalnız bıraktığı için ölümden nefret etmeye başlar. Yalnız Signa da bir de tuhaflık vardır. Can vermiş ama henüz diğer dünyaya gitmeyen ruhları görür ve onlarla konuşabilmektedir.( Bir tık ürkütücü kabul edin 🤣) En son ise vasisi olan teyzesinin canını ölüm yerine Signa alır. ( Hobaaa ortalık iyi karıştı🤣) Ve Signa kendi mal varlığı üzerine geçene kadar bu kez öldürdüğü teyzesinin torununun evine gönderilir. ( Evlatlık gibi) Ama gittiği yer olan Thorn Grove da ölümlerden nasibini almıştır. Evin sahibi Lilian ölmüştür ve ruhu huzur bulmadığı için öteki dünyaya geçmemiş burada Signa' ya ölümünü çözmesini haykırmaktadır.😱Kitapta sürekli bir katil aradık. Belladonna - Adalyn Grace Do tejto knižky som sa pustila bez nejakých očakávaní a bez toho, že by som vôbec vedela do čoho sa idem pustiť. A možno práve vďaka tomu ma kniha prekvapila vo veľkom. Do deja som sa ponurila okamžite. Autorka ma príjemný štýl písania, vďaka ktorému sa veľmi ľahko ponoríte so príbehu a tiež si obľúbite takmer okamžite hlavnú postavu Signu (veľmi zvláštne meno, ktoré absolútne netuším ako vyslovovať). Signa bola veľmi svojská postava, ktorá však od detstvo túžila iba po tom, aby zapadla medzi ostatných ľudí v spoločnosti. Túžila po plesoch, po chlapcoch a po normálnom živote. Ale keď sa jej to začne plniť, tak možno zistiť, že to nie je práve pre ňu. A ešte chcem zmieniť, že ma Signa niekoľkokrát pobavila a taký humor sa mi v knihách páči. Čo sa týka hlavnej mužskej postavy, tak tú zbožňujem. Veľmi mi sadol a ta romantická linka medzi ním a Signou bola do ko na lá. ❤️ Zápletka, ktorá sa tiahla celou knihou bola veľmi zaujímavá a síce som niektoré veci odhadla, tak nie takým spôsobom ako to nakoniec celé dopadlo. Upodozrievala som snáď každého a ku každému som si ešte aj vymyslela motív. Veľmi zábavné skúšať hádať a nechať sa na konci prekvapiť. Dokonca ma tam jedna scéna pri konci rozplakala a veľmi dojala. Zároveň mala kniha pre mňa taký nádych knihy Neviditeľný život Addie La Rue aj keď Belladonna je za mňa stokrát lepšia. A pri niektorých prvkoch alebo scénach som mala zas pocit nádychu môjho obľúbeného hororového seriálu The Haunting of Hill House, čo knižke pridali ďalšie body. O knihe by som mohla básniť celú večnosť, ale napíšem už len to, že som zvedavá na druhú časť a dúfam, že sa k nej čoskoro dostanem aby som to mala všetko ešte v čerstvej pamäti. Die Beziehung zwischen dem Tod und ihr schwankt hin und her. Das Buch war an keiner Stelle langweilig! Die Storyline war einfach magisch und auch der Plot Twist am Ende war unglaublich. Ich gebe Belladonna 5/5 ⭐! Ich kann kaum auf die Fortsetzung ,,Foxglove" warten! Definitiv eine Leseempfehlung für Roman-und Krimi-Liebhaber mit einem Touch Romantasy. I don't usually go for fantasy books, I only read them once in a while; but ever since I decided to take a chance on Adalyn Grace's Belladona, I've decided to give fantasy a litlle more attention. I thoroughly enjoyed Belladona and it's sequel Foxglove. I'm still waiting on the third book in the series but I digress. I won't lie, I bought this book for two reasons: 1, Adalyn Grace wrote it and 2, it has a pretty cover 😂 If you're looking for a fantasy book with a strong female main character, politics mixed with a lot of magic (and snd ugly), and of course, soft romance, this is the book for you. I read this book in under two days (it was that fast paced). It tells an enchanting tale of the lengths a princess will go to save her people even when the ones she loved the most have let her down. It follows the adventures of Amora, her struggle to master a power that could kill her and her quest to conquer the evil that would tear apart her world. I recommend this book for fantasy lovers who are looking for fast paced, fierce adventure and swoon worthy romance 🫠. Belladonna Signa cresceu sempre com tutores mas nunca tomaram conta dela de verdade. Isto muda quando chega a casa dos Hawthorne,uma família algo excêntrica que vive numa mansão misteriosa. O patriarca da família lamenta a perda da mulher dando grandes festas na mansão, a filha tem uma doença estranha e misteriosa e o filho tenta controlar a reputação desta família. Mas afinal parece que a esposa morreu por envenenamento e Signa para descobrir que a matou tem de se juntar a Morte, uma personagem também desta história. Com um ambiente gótico e vitoriano e com alguns ares de thriller e fantasia é um romance bem diferente dos que já li e que me surpreendeu e muito pela positiva. As descrições são fantásticas e transporta-nos durante toda a leitura para um ambiente fabuloso, onde a personagem principal vive um romance paranormal. As personagens são todas muito ricas, principalmente Signa. que ao longo do livro tem uma evolução muito grande. Morte é uma personagem super original que me agradou muito. Current read: Foxglove von Adalyn Grace Ich habe den ersten Teil aufgrund einer Empfehlung gelesen und auch weil es mich direkt angesprochen hat. Der Tod, ein mystischer Mord der gelöst werden muss und eine starke Protagonistin. So habe ich es mir zumindest vorgestellt. Am Ende fand ich das Buch allerdings nur mittelmäßig. Ich bin nicht direkt mit dem Hauptcharakter warm geworden (hauptsächlich weil ich sie irgendwie "schwach" gestaltet fand) aber für ein Buch zwischendurch ist es gut lesbar. Den zweiten Teil habe ich mir gekauft aus Hoffnung die eigentlich gute storyline würde mich noch abholen. Powiem tak, no będzie się działo i już nie mogę doczekać się, aż drugi tom będę miała w swoich rękach🫐🥰 🧝♂️ "Miłość od elfiego wejrzenia" autorstwa @kerrelynsparks 🧝♂️ - to historia o przeznaczeniu, walce o Królestwo, miłości, która bardzo szybko potęguje, ale też o skrywanych tajemnicach. Zaczyna ona serię o dziewczynach, które dorastały na wyspie, nie do końca wiadomo, dlaczego się tam znalazły i nie znamy ich rodziców. Dziewczyny jednak są dla siebie jak siostry, kochają się bezgraniczną miłością i wspólnie poddają się przeznaczeniu, które wywróżyły im kamienie. Jest to 4 tom, jednak 3 poprzednie nie zostały jeszcze wydane w Polsce, ale śmiało można od niej zacząć. Uwierzcie mi, że ta część jest początkiem wspaniałej magicznej i pełnej miłości serii 🥰❤️🧝♂️ 🦦 "Syrena z błękitnej toni" to druga część serii "W objęciach Magii" od @kerrelynsparks 🦦 - ta opowiada losy kolejnej z sióstr, delikatnej lecz bardzo odważnej Maeve, która jest zmiennokształtną. Historia jest przepełniona miłością, przyjaźnią, walką dobra ze złem. Poznajemy tutaj kolejnych bohaterów, do których od razu się przywiązujemy. Zadaniem naszej bohaterki będzie odnaleźć swojego najlepszego przyjaciela i dowiedzieć się, jak zdjąć z niego klątwę. Poznamy długo skrywane tajemnice, zobaczymy wolę walki i przepadniemy dla fabuły. I much prefer the US covers for this series. Secondly, The Grim Reaper as a love interest, urm, yes please.. that was something I didn't know I needed. Signa and Death were so cute and I cannot wait to see how their story develops in Foxglove. This was nothing like I've ever read before, I did find it a little bit slow in parts, but the prose was just stunning. Adalyns writing is enchanting and the characters so interesting. Another light reading month due to rehearsals and studying my lines for Emma, but I'm loving diving into Emma Woodhouse so it is well worth the drop in my reading. I think I had a rather successful reading month though! The father-daughter relationship in Here and Now and Then wrecked me. They made constant references to Doctor Who because of time travel and it made me think about my dad the whole time so it just hit me on a different level. It's kind of nice to think that in a parallel universe, he might be trying to communicate with me too. And as for Bright Young Women, I didn't even realize it was about Ted Bundy until the last chapter of the book! I'm sure other people who are familiar with his crimes won't miss it, but I kind of loved that he was referred to as "the defendant" the whole time because it stripped him of his identity and didn't attempt to glorify him. Most of my 4 star reads were total gems too. The Spectacular had me from beginning to end and I loved reading about the Rockettes. Belladonna was a pleasant surprise - I picked that one up on a whim and now I absolutely must read the next one. 📚"Belladonna" 🥀 O único livro lido este mês porque, infelizmente, não nasci com o dom de ler vários livros ao mesmo tempo :(. Mas foi muito bom ver como elas evoluiram e ver tudo o que Signa sacrificou para ajudar a prima. 🥀 Não vou mentir. Teve uma altura da história que eu desconfiei bastante do personagem do Sylas. Mas fiquei chocada com o plot dele. 🥀 Percy...gostava tanto dele. Nunca pensei que me ia desiludir tanto... Marjorie e Bryton eram as minhas suspeitas, errei com tudo neles😂. 🥀 A relação da Morte com Signa foi algo que eu antecipei e que fiquei muito feliz que aconteceu. Gostei muito de acompanhar a evolução deles, desde que, finalmente, começaram a confiar um no outro até ficarem juntos no final. 🥀 Elijah finalmente conseguiu paz, depois de muito tempo e mesmo sem Lillian ao lado dele. Acho que a despedida deles foi algo tão triste e tão bonito que magou. Foi um dos motivos pelo qual eu chorei neste livro. Foxglove Po przeczytaniu Belladonny miałam ogromne oczekiwania do drugiego tomu jakim jest Foxglove i muszę przyznać, że nie zawiodłam się a zamiast tego mile zaskoczyłam bo nie sądziłam, że może być jeszcze lepiej. W tym tomie nie skupiamy się tylko na Signie, Śmierci i Blythe ale również na Losie, czyli bracie Śmierci, który zaburzy spokój i dość bardzo namiesza, jednak nie tylko on. Kolejne morderstwo jakie ma miejsce na balu zorganizowanego przez wuja Signy Farrow wywołuje wiele zamieszania a oskarżony o nie zostaje sam gospodarz. Blythe jest załamana i robi wszystko by wyciągnąć ojca z więzienia starając uchwycić się każdej możliwej opcji. Zresztą Signa robi to samo jednak pojawienie się Losu niczego nie ułatwia. Przedstawia się on jako książe i zaczyna kręcić się wokół bohaterki i choć Signa zna prawdę o nim i wie kim jest to nie może nikomu tego zdradzić ponieważ nikt jej nie uwierzy. Fakty jakie wychodzą na jaw podczas czytania naprawdę mnie zaskoczyły bo kompletnie nie spodziewałam się takiego obrotu spraw. Mimo, że Blythe wiele razy mnie drażniła i nie przepadam za nią i jej charakterem to naprawdę podziwiam ją za determinację oraz odwagę, których jej nie brak. BOOK REVIEW ✨️✨️✨️ Belladonna by Adalyn Grace Have any of you read this? Did you like it? Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This book had me screaming. My face was read after the number of times I slapped my hand over my mouth to muffle said screams. I loved this book so much. There were so many twists, and the plot was PLOTTING. The characters were all so interesting, I especially LOVED Sylas and Death. I was formulating theories and second-guessing them throughout the entire book. This is definitely a 5 star read. It's a perfect novel for anyone who loves fantasy with a side of morally grey characters with a penchant for murder and mysteries.

[Belladonna- Die Berührung des Todes] Es heißt fünf Belladonna-Beeren reichen aus, um einen Menschen zu töten" Was ist, wenn es das nicht tut und du immer am Rande des Todes stehst und dadurch die Möglichkeit bekommst mit den Tod persönlich in Verbindung zu treten? Und was ist, wenn du für diesen auch noch Gefühle entwickelst? Wie der Klappentext schon gut wieder gibt, ist Signa vom Tod berührt und so fürchten sich die meisten auch vor ihr. Die Thematik fand ich tatsächlich sehr spannend. Mir hat gut gefallen, dass der Tod als Person hier im Zentrum steht. Ganz besonders in Kombination ihn auch im romantischen Sinne mit ins Spiel zu bringen. Die Ausgangslage macht es zwar nicht einfach, da die romantische Beziehung zwischen ihm und Signa darauf beruht, dass Menschen kurz vorm Tod stehen müssen. Dennoch macht genau dieser wankelmütige Grad, die Sache so spannend. Auch der viktorianische Stil und die Krimielemente, die hier zum Teil auftauchen, mochte ich sehr gerne. Leider hatte die Story auch einige langatmige Momente. Im Hörbuch konnte man die Stellen dann einfach etwas schneller hören, lesend hätte es mich doch sehr gestört. Signa fand ich als Protagonistin sehr interessant. Ich mochte ihre etwas leichtsinnige Art. Besonders im Bezug auf die Belladonna Beeren und ihren eigenen persönlichen Experimenten. Auch den Tod finde ich als Charakter interessant. Da man so wenig von ihm persönlich erfährt, finde ich ihn immer noch eher sehr mysteriös und geheimnisvoll. Allerdings gibt er immer wieder ein paar Informationen und Vermutungen über Signa oder den Verlauf der Handlung Preis. Ein noch schwer einzuschätzender Charakter, der vor allem durch sein geheimnisvolles Auftreten neugierig macht. Fazit: Ich hab irgendwie was ganz anderes von der Geschichte erwartet und war dann doch überrascht, was auf mich gewartet hat. Mich konnte die Geschichte gut unterhalten, auch wenn es zwischendurch ein paar kleinere langatmige Stellen gab. Death and Signa’s romance is still going strong, but complicated by Fate. The brother rivalry was perfection! 🎧📚 Foxglove (Belladonna #2) ☠️ - by Adalyn Grace (narrated by Kristin Atherton) YA/ fantasy Book 2 in the Belladonna series was a no brainer for me - swipe ➡️ for the blurb and read on for my thoughts. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I loved book 1, so I was really keen for this one. Once again narrated by Atherton, who is one excellent form. This one picks up straight after book 1, and you’re straight into the action following the death of a duke, with suspected foul play and her beloved uncle the prime suspect. Whilst a little long in parts, this one expands on Signa’s viewpoint as we’re also given a front row seat into her cousin Blythe’s viewpoint. And I really liked where this took me, as you see the effects of Percy’s disappearance and its impact has far reaching repercussions. You really see the love Blythe has for her brother. We’re also introduced to Fate, brother to Death, who is after revenge for a past offence. And I loved the changing dynamics between Signa and Death with his arrival. I also liked how the world that Grace has built, which expands further with the introduction of Fate and his lost love, Life. La scelta della terza persona non mi ha fatto impazzire, ma una volta entrati nel mistero, la lentezza (dell'inizio) e il resto svanisce. Ho apprezzato anche la caratterizzazione dei personaggi, in particolare il rapporto di Signa con i suoi cugini, che si evolve da una diffidenza iniziale a una profonda amicizia. Facendo ritrovare a Signa quel forte legame di famiglia. Il personaggio di Signa mi è sembrato poco strutturato e approfondito, ma spero migliori nel secondo volume! Amato ovviamente il personaggio di Morte che è enigmatico e carismatico, è gentile e protettivo, e crea un ottima tensione con Signa. Mi è piaciuto come si è parlato della morte, dell'aldilà, delle anime. Quali avete letto? ~ Trama nei commenti⬇️ (attenzione agli spoiler) ~ Il primo libro "Belladonna" è già uscito in italiano e vi consiglio di recuperarlo perché merita e in più non pensavo mi piacesse così tanto lo stile gotico dopo questa storia, infatti mi sto segnando altri titoli e se volete consigliarmene qualcuno sono contenta❤️ Foxglove mi è piaciuto, c'è sempre un mistero da risolvere ed è la parte che più mi intriga e mi interessa. Si va avanti con la storia di Signa e pian piano verremo a scoprire nuove parti della sua vita e di quella degli Hawthorne. Così come il primo ho trovato questo libro affascinante, ha un inizio un po' più lento ma quando prende il via non sono più riuscita a staccarmi dalla lettura, con la crescente curiosità di volerne sapere di più e con quel finale che ti fa fare un salto dalla sedia. (unbezahlte Werbung/Rezension) Hallo liebe Bücherwürmer Heute möchte ich euch ein Buch vorstellen um das ich nicht herum gekommen bin. Das Cover ist ein absoluter Traum und hat mich sehr angesprochen In dem Buch geht es um Signa, die eine ganz besondere Verbindung zum Tod hat. Alle um sie Rum sterben angefangen bei Ihren Eltern. Schlussendlich landet sie im wunderschönen Thron Grove, in dem rauschenden Bälle stattfinden und es viele Geheimnisse gibt. Die Tochter des Hauses Blythe, wurde vergiftet und der Täter scheint der Familie sehr nahe zu stehen. Signa möchte Rausfinden wer es war und kommt dabei nicht nur dem Tot immer wieder sehr nah. Die Idee den Tod als fühlenden Mann darzustellen, fand ich sehr interessant. Die Umsetzung hat mich leider nicht so überzeugt. Ich finde es anstrengend, das man das ganze Buch über nur Bröckchen hingeworfen bekommt und ja mir ist bewusst das es eine Reihe ist aber mich hat es einfach gestört nicht zu erfahren wieso Signa so ist wie sie ist Auch erschließt sich mir die "Romanze" zwischen Signa und dem Tod nicht und die "erotischen" Szenen fand ich nicht passend bzw wirkten sie zu gewollt, als müsste man einfach irgendwas schmutziges schreiben Symphatisch war mir Blythe, mit ihr hatte ich viel Spaß und auch die restliche Familie war für mich sehr stimmig. Hey ihr Lieben, Heute möchte ich über ein Buch sprechen, dass man auch recht häufig hier auf insta sieht und das ich auch sehr geliebt habe: Belladonna. Wie ihr seht, hatte ich schon das englische mit dem anderen Cover da. Aber wie das mit dem SuB so ist die Übersetzung kam einfach schneller 🤭 Belladonna hat ein recht düsteres Setting, passt aber dennoch gut in die Kategorie Romantasy. Signa als Protagonistin hat die interessante Eigenschaft, dass sie nicht sterben kann und so dem Tod immer wieder entkommt. Fürnsie ergeben sich im Laufe des Buches daher viele Möglichleiten, dies auch zu nutzen. Ich mag Signa sehr, da sie so authentisch ist. Sie kommt zum ersten Mal mit der "feinen Gesellschaft" in Berührung und natürlich macht sie sich Gedanken über all die Dinge, die junge Mädchen in ihrem Alter beschäftigen. Sie ist unsicher, obwohl sie intuitiv genau weiss, was sie will. Ob sie das auch so zeigen kann? Schaut selbst. Der "Tod" ist ebenfalls ein interessanter Charakter und die Darstellung hier ist wirklich recht treffend, finde ich. Auch Signas Beziehung zu Sylas macht mich neugierig. Die Geschichte empfand ich als recht cosy und die Plottwists kam Ende haben mich gut überraschen und unterhalten können. Die Handlung steigert sich nach und nach und ich wollte das Buch am liebsten gar nicht weglegen. Ich freue mich nun sehr auf Foxglove, das Ende März auf deutsch erscheint. Ja, ich hab es auch schon auf englisch. Aber bis dahin kann ich auch noch auf die Übersetzung warten. Ein klein wenig Angst hab ich auch, denn es wird mit Love Triangel geworben, was nunmal so gar nicht mein Trope ist. Aber ich lass mich überraschen... Für Band 1 gibt es von mir eine uneingeschränkte Leseempfehlung mit Highlightpotential.
