Io ho sempre amato la mitologia, ne sono sempre stata affascinata, ho letto tantissimi libri riguardanti il mito di Ade e Persefone, GoG e GoT sono stati per me una scoperta meravigliosa, attendevo con ansia tutti gli aggiornamenti, quando ha annunciato l’uscita del cartaceo sono saltata in aria dalla felicità (ho anche pianto strano aggiungerei). Hades e Haven sono l’amore, rappresentano tutto quello che io sogno, in questo secondo libro ho sentito tutto il loro dolore, diventava mio qualche volta. La cosa bella di Mary è proprio questa; riesce a farti provare così tante emozioni leggendo che ti sembra di starle vivendo insieme a loro. Io la ringrazierò per sempre, e le augurerò sempre tutto il bene del mondo. Ti voglio bene mary dalla luna fino al ritorno, due volte🍎❤️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Liberi come il vento, Rita Nardi Quando il vento del nord porta con sé una piuma d’aquila grigia, un grande cambiamento sta per arrivare: questa è la leggenda che gli antenati di Hurst Paytah tramandano da generazioni. Lui non ci ha mai creduto, perché il suo destino è stato stabilito sin da piccolo. Da orfano indesiderato perché solo per metà nativo, è riuscito a conquistare la fiducia della tribù ed è stato scelto per diventare capo. Hurst, però, è solo un ragazzo, e si sente inadatto a comandare perché è tutto fuorché calmo e razionale. Per fortuna c’è Nive che, con i suoi timidi sorrisi e i suoi guanti rossi, gli ha mostrato che la gentilezza può sciogliere anche il ghiaccio più duro e che si può essere completi anche quando ci si sente a metà. Eppure, ora che lei è lontana per studiare al college, Hurst si sente sempre più insicuro e il vecchio dubbio di non essere all’altezza lo tormenta. Come se non bastasse, sul suo comodino compare all’improvviso una piuma d’aquila grigia. Mentre ne osserva i riflessi, si sente invadere dalla paura: forse il destino suo e di Nive non è di restare legati per tutta la vita; forse basterà una folata di vento per distruggerli. Ora Hurst deve scoprire che solo chi affronta la vertigine ha la forza per spiccare il volo. Se pensate che questo é liberi come la neve riscritto dal punto di vista di Hurst vi sbagliate, è completamente un libro a parte che riparte dall’ultimo capitolo di LCLN e inizia con una nuova storia, per questo può essere letto anche senza avere LCLN (attenzione però potrebbero esserci spoiler del primo libro)… Dopo questa premessa io non posso non dirvi che ho divorato questo libro, sono stata completamente immersa nella mente di Hurst, troverete amore, gelosie, vendette, vecchi e nuovi personaggi (quest’ultimi poco simpatici) ma soprattutto troverete un Hurst impaurito che trova conforto solo nella sua Nive, lo conoscerete meglio e ve ne ri-innamorerete, i colpi di scena non mancheranno e fidatevi se vi dico che ne vale la pena. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 @ritanardi_libri che ti devo dire, grazie per avermi permesso di tornare dai miei amati Hurst e Nive, dai Navajo, ti voglio bene!

🇷🇴 Citiți cărți din “Raftul Denisei” de la Humanitas? Cartea aceasta este o capodoperă! Au fost câteva momente când treceam de la o perspectivă la alta o dată la fiecare câteva capitole (deși voiam să știu mai multe despre un anumit personaj) + multe capitole au fost foarte lungi, iar aceste motive m-au făcut să scad jumătate de steluță. Dar pe lângă aceste aspecte, totul a fost impecabil! Avem un sat din Maran care este lovit cu timpul de multe blesteme și întâmplări ciudate, însă personajele din el (cel puțin o parte dintre ei) supraviețuiesc și se bucură de tot ce au fără a cârti. Vedem viața a câtorva dintre săteni, începând cu preferata mea, Anatolia, cea mai tânără dintre ei (având 58 de ani la începutul cărții), Vasili, Iasaman cu Ovanes și mulți alții. Citind această piesă de artă nu am putut să nu mă atașez de ei și să sper că vor supraviețui. Parcă trăgeam și eu nădejde ca satul să rămână în picioare. O lectură scurtă, dar de impact. A fost ca o îmbrățișare caldă, în special cu finalul fericit, un final care e ca o ramă, terminându-se cu o referință făcută despre începutul său și în care se descoperă sensul titlului și a celor 3 părți. I guessed the two people "involved" (good or bad) from early on, but I was not prepared for the other reveals. The ending is bittersweet and I'm looking forward to the trilogy. 👻 Do you like reading ghost stories? I started Gallant with high expectations. It was a 5-star prediction based on its cover, title and premise. First off I want to mention that I did not know the synopsis itself, but I knew about this one starting from the moment Victoria Schwab mentioned it on her Instagram page. So going into this I was shockingly surprised to discover that it has a mute main character, which is an amazing representation and a perspective I never read from. The description of the eerie place Olivia starts from, a school for independent girls, along with the lyrical voice of the author and the tone of the story made me fall in love with it instantly. As the story progressed, I was more and more excited about it. I'm also in love with the illustrations and her mother's journal entries. I could barely put this book down. But around the half mid-point or even a bit earlier I started to feel like some things were a bit repetitive, some illustrations repeating themselves, ideas mentioned over and over in Olivia's head. Besides this I also started to feel dizzy, like I was in a weird random dream while reading. I felt like the ideas could have been exploited more, but they weren't fully developed, in my opinion. The last 2 parts of the book were on speedway and they seemed underdeveloped. The characters were a bit flat and I couldn't truly connect with them, but they were enjoyable whatsoever. The ending was emotional and had a somewhat satisfying conclusion. However, it felt like the book was missing chunks of important information, and it disappointed me for the aforementioned reasons. All in all, it was a good book and I gave it a 3.5 ✨ and I recommend it for those of you who are at the start of reading ghostly/creepy/eerie vibes stories. I will continue reading from Victoria as they are an author I respect and adore. I still have to finish the ADSOM trilogy 😉. Happy Friday! 👻 . . 💫 Kindle book review 💫 The Frozen River 4-4.5⭐️ This book was nothing like any book I have ever read. It was not fast-paced, but the content was unique and based on real journal entries written by Martha Ballard, a midwife, who happens to be the main character in this novel. The author's note at the end also delves deeper into how and why the book was written the way it was. 🎄🎄🎄 BOOK REVIEW 🎄🎄🎄 This is me sticking to my new year bookish resolutions and getting posts up for every single book I read this year! I am not huge into insta love for some reason so this trope wasn’t for me. However it was definitely the cheesy light hearted romance you would see on hallmark this time of year, which is exactly why I wanted to read it! I thought it would be more of a slow burn trope, but as soon as the main characters were stuck in a traumatic situation for 24 hours and fell in love, that was it. This had a lot going on and I felt like there was more going on in certain situations that didn’t need to be there.. while I wanted more elaboration on other pieces of the book and didn’t get it. Overall, it was light hearted, & the main character had a charm that made me enjoy this over the holidays. I gave this one ⭐️⭐️⭐️ What is your favorite holiday read so I can add it to my list for Christmas 2024? 🎄
Jak wspomniałam w podsumowaniu zeszłego roku, postanowiłam trochę odpuścić z bookstagramem, jednak nie przestałam czytać. Kończę już szóstą książkę w styczniu, co jest moim wielkim wyczynem. Postanowiłam, że będę się dzielić z Wami tylko książkami, które są warte uwagi, lub wręcz przeciwnie. Znajdą się też książki, które będę czytać dzięki współpracy. Już wiem, że jedna pojawi się w lutym. Dzisiaj jednak parę słów o książce, która okazała się fenomenalna, jednak na obecną chwilę nie zostanie wydana jej kontynuacja. Dlaczego piszę o tym na samym początku, a no dlatego, że może ktoś właśnie z tego powodu po nią sięgnie, albo wręcz przeciwnie sobie odpuścić. Ja uważam, że książka jest warta uwagi i pomimo swoich wysokich ocen, nie zostanie potraktowana po macoszemu. "Captive" to Dark romanse inny niż wszystkie. Ta książka skrywa w sobie tajemniczość oraz mrok. Historia Elly i Ashera jest inna niż wszystkie. Ona od najmłodszych lat po śmierci matki, zostaje przekazana pod opiekę ciotki narkomanki, która oddaje ją jako własność Johna, który wykorzystuje jej ciało do zarabiania pieniędzy i odrobienia ciotki długu. Gdy trafia jako Captive Ashera, myśli że już gorzej być nie może. Jedna nie spodziewa się, że jej nowy właściciel okaże się psychopatą. Ash tak naprawdę od początku wcale nie na wyrost zostaje nazwany przez Elle psychopatą. Jego wybuchowy temperament, życie bez strachu, na granicy ryzyka pokazuje, że jest człowiekiem bez serca. Mimo swojego młodego wieku musi kierować całą mafią, co nie pozwala mu na pokazanie się z dobrej strony. Co może połączyć dwie zranione dusze, czy jest szansa na happy and. Tego dowiecie sie sięgając po książkę. Dajcie szanse tej historii, ponieważ jest tak wciągająca od samego początku, że nie można się od niej oderwać. Akcja, która momentami powoduje szybsze bicie serca. Ja jestem nią zachwycona, ponieważ dawno nie czytałam tak dobrej, mocnej książki, która trzyma w napięciu do samego końca. Bo zdecydowanie jest to pozycja dla dorosłych czytelników, którzy szukają adrenaliny. Czytajcie, bo warto!! ✨ FIRST BOOK OF 2024 ✨ Second Night Stand by @kareliastetzwaters and Fay Stetz-Waters Available May 21st, 2024 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ *Spoilers Ahead* Look, I love a good sapphic love story (with lots of smut) like the next person, but add in good characters (main and supporting) and a little reality TV razzle dazzle, and you will have me HOOKED. Izzy and Lillian's love story was one of a kind. No one really expects to have a one night stand and have it turn into anything, but you especially don't expect to end up on a reality TV show competing against someone who ran out of your house after all was said and done. Both of the main characters are formed in a way that their traumas and fears are relatable to so many people, and their friends and their individual side stories make it even more of a fun read. Also Axel's off the wall sayings will make you laugh more than they should. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because my ADHD brain had a really hard time keeping track of who's POV I was reading.
