February tbr๐โ๏ธ๐ฆ๐ This month I decided to make two different spreadsheets, one for my entire book collection and the other for random tbr prompts, and used a number generator to choose! Below are some suggestions you can use: ๐A-Z tbr - pick up a book that starts with a letter from the alphabet and see how far you get. ๐Lots of readers are doing the 12 or 24 for 24 reading challenge which includes 12 or 24 of reads youโll tick off this year. ๐TBR prompts - you can come up with some prompts like โread a book with a yellow coverโ or โread a book with the word library in the titleโ to get you book hunting and read something from your shelves. I have some fun tbr prompt cards @heybookloverhq which I plan to use. Iโve been absent from Instagram over the past several days due to soaking in quality Christmastime and cleaning up the house in the aftermath (๐ซ) but Iโm back today with a new-to-me post format! ๐ Iโve enjoyed watching BookTubers do TBR prompts to choose their monthly TBRs, so I decided to make my own version by making a spreadsheet of 100 prompts and using a formula to choose prompts at random. Here are the 10 prompts that were chosen and the books that go with them, as well as a bonus book that Iโve planned to read in January anyway. ๐ Iโm a mood reader, so I wonโt be reading these in the order theyโre listed. However, I do intend to stick to this TBR because there are books on here that Iโve owned for years and havenโt read yet. Iโm so excited that some new books I got for Christmas fit a couple prompts as well (thank You, Jesus!). As I said in a recent blog post, In This Moment by Gabrielle Meyer will be my first read of the year and I CANโT WAIT. ๐๐ Hopefully Iโll be able to stick to this TBR format for the rest of 2024, but weโll see. The Wolf Den has been on my tbr pile for a while and is for the prompt of 'set in a place you have visited'. I went to Pompeii a few years ago and it's a place that stays with you so it will be interesting to read this one. The Shack has been on the New York Times bestseller list twice since it's been released. I've heard good things about Lily and I've read another book that featured The Foundling hospital. ๐ April hopefuls with a twist You may have seen on my stories the other day that Iโm trialling something a little different for my April TBR. Usually I select a handful of books I want to prioritise for the month which tbh is generally based on how Iโm feeling at the moment I take the photo for the post and comes with very little thought ๐ However it means that thereโs certain books that I just keep on putting off reading. So this month I have made a little bowl (hi giraffe ๐ฆ) and added loads of prompts. Whenever Iโm starting a new book I will pull a prompt out and select a book based on that.
