ADVANCE + CYCLE 12!!!! This will take me half way through the advance + and this looks like an epic cycle!! I’ve already completed ‘The Beast’ and ‘Combo HIIT & Core’ both were really good workouts and really challenged me (1 quite a bit more then the other 🤪) and I still have the ‘Picante HIIT’ to go which looks brutal! I’m back using the app full time now and enjoying mixing up my workouts and teaming up with others in this wonderful community. It’s so fun knowing others are doing the same workouts as you. 9 weeks of discipline ⏳ 11kg down, increase in lean muscle and the mental gains have been game changing. The last 9 weeks have flown by, its been tough but finding things that work for me have been key to getting to this point. No ‘10,000 steps’ hit every day, no ‘minimum 8 hours sleep’ every night, and some meals have been very questionable. Im a dad of 2, working a full time job and just trying to keep my shit together most day. Things i have controlled - Calories. Tracking calories everyday for the past 9 week have key, and the daily satisfaction of this have been unexpected. Drinking high quality H2O (or water for the non waterboy fans), haven’t had a target to hit each day, just being mindful to drink more. Resistance training, the times I’ve been in the gym have varied from 6.30am to 9pm, the days attending have changed but being disciplined in just ‘showing up’ and putting in some good work has had so many positive effects in my life. By far from the finished article but excited to see where this goes. Fresh set of 7 now. Mamma! I finally made it 😂 When I say made it I mean front and centre next to some coffee banana bread that is a whole lot more popular than me and my nipples!! But seriously! What an honour to be added to the bodycoach app grid. Really has given me another level of confidence! I really didn’t want to do it this morning. Was a rough night and the idea of tackling IC4 workout 5 wasn’t up there on my list of things to achieve today. I thought I’ll do the first 20 mins and call it…. I went all the way through and feel fantastic! 35/25 for 20 moves then 40/20 for the same 20 moves is a long slog and when Joe says the hardest moves are out the way now clearly hasn’t seen a 248.3 llb man do leg crunches… fact check. That’s hard mate! 2 weeks before paradise and all the pizza and mango I can eat. A truly eventful month which got me feeling exhausted 🫣 2 amazing weddings followed by a 2 day hangover🤢 I mean WHEN did I get to that age👵🏼 a very spontaneous HALF Marathon cause why not ✌🏼 I completed the #movewithaviva challenge & managed to win one of the prizes woohoo🥳 & to finish off the month with the wonderful @parkrunuk family at the annual conference down in London Town was just the best🇬🇧 My cup is feeling veryyyyy full rn and super blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people in my life however this quote always springs to mind ➡️ I posted it on my reflection back in Feb 2023 & it has stuck with me ever since. WELL IF THE LEGGINS FIT… WEAR THEM These leggings and bralette have no fit me since September 2022! Because obviously I fell pregnant in October and have yo-yo dieted since! But since November 28th 2023 I’ve been working hard to get back to myself! But I’ve also learned that I love this version of me too, because my body gave me my son! Big session today on strength 💪🏻🔥 Started on lower body 90 seconds work on each move, so lots of reps, I used a pair of 10kg dumbbells and a 15kg dumbbell for the single work Then an upper body pyramid set …. The impact peri-menopause and menopause has on our mental health is not talked about enough so I was so pleased to see @guardian raising awareness on this. Peri-menopause (the time leading up to the menopause) can last from a few months to anywhere up to a decade! This transitional period can be a time of emotional turmoil which can have a huge impact on your mental health, it certainly did for me. I knew I wasn’t right but I never talked to anyone and as usual as we do I just ploughed on with things. But in the end it nearly broke me and I knew something had to change so after talking it through with my better half I started to take action to improve it. I just wish I had spoke out sooner. Please know that if you are suffering right now - talking to someone will help so much (my direct messages are always open). Speak to friends, family and your medical practitioner or GP. This was Sunday’s demo loaf, used to show how to add inclusions to a dough such as nuts, seeds or cheese. Usually, I’d toast my seeds or soak them before adding in, so they don’t draw water out of the dough. This is especially recommended when using flax or chia seeds both have a high amount of mucilage, a type of soluble fibre, which can mess with your hydration when added without soaking first. It was a spur of the moment decision, but we went in and, after the second coil fold, added ready toasted sesame seeds and the flax went in without soaking. My dough felt tight and slightly listless as I carried on with my coils, but I needn’t worry - it turned out amazing! The extra coil and time during bulk AND a nice 1.5 hour final proof at room temperature before it went in the fridge did the trick! The fragrance of this seeded loaf is wafting through the house : well fermented, well proofed delicious and nutritious sourdough! Don’t be afraid to break away from rules - it will either work or it won’t but you might learn something new in the process- there is not necessarily a right and wrong way; just YOUR WAY!

It’s 12 weeks until July and the summer holidays….and you can achieve a LOT of progress in 12 weeks and totally transform the way you’re feeling both mentally and physically! I had neglected myself over the previous few months and I knew I needed some accountability to get me back in the zone! In the media, male role models that spread the wrong idea about masculinity tend to receive the most media attention. Such role models are influencers like Andrew Tate. One of the most influential internet celebs of 2020, Tate amassed a following of millions of young men who referred to his messages as scripture. He urges men to embrace “traditional” masculinity which involves aggression, lacking emotional intelligence, hatred towards women and the objectification of women as seen in his tweets. This does not mean that positive male influencers don’t exist. Let’s talk menopause and losing your identity and confidence!!! It’s a thing! When I was in the midst of peri-menopause I felt like I’d lost my identity. I felt like my style went out of the window, my skin went to shit and I just really lacked confidence!! And being on a platform like this I struggled!! Now I’m certainly not one for being centre of attention or full of it but I do like to feel nice and confident in my own skin but I just felt like I was staring at someone else in the mirror. My weight was increasing, my anxiousness was getting worse and my energy levels were shocking! I’ve always been such a positive person and I was determined to get back to that. @bodycoachapp Adv C5 WO3 this morning. Not a massive calorie burner for a 40 minute workout but I did struggle with some of the weighted moves. Trying to not drop below 8kg and working towards upping the weights steadily. After hurting my back 2 years ago I dropped weights and never progressed them out of fear of doing it again. But I know I can lift heavier and I need to keep pushing to actually see progression.
