Can I just say.... Get yourself a group of friends who hype 👏 you 👏 up 👏 I am so incredibly grateful to have a group of friends who do just that! I rarely brag on myself, nor do I post pics of my 🍑. But when your friend takes a snapshot because you're looking fine from behind, I'll make an exception 😉 Most of you know the good Lord blessed ya girl with some cakes 🙌 BUT... for the past 1️⃣8️⃣ weeks, I have been extra consistent, which has made ALL the difference. You could bounce a quarter off that thang 😏 I'm feeling incredibly proud of my body and the progress I've made! And there is nothing wrong with expressing that, especially after a shoulder injury threatened to sideline me for a long time! Priorities change, and so do our mindsets - ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The girl in the first picture had lost nearly 50 lbs and wanted to keep getting smaller and stronger but I didn’t have the full picture of what the goal was yet… the girl on the right wants to empower other women to understand it’s not all about being skinny or small, we don’t need to be the smallest versions of ourselves to have confidence or be beautiful. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I thought there was some kind of validation to try to be the same as the other girls I saw on social media, but then over time I realized that I was happiest when I was lifting heavy and going up in weights- working to get stronger. Growing my arms, my shoulders my legs and eating without restrictions. I couldn’t have gotten to where I am mentally, emotionally and physically without the people who guided me on this journey - my coach, my family and my supportive husband who hypes me up to do what I love. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is your reminder that comparing or using people you see online as goals is unrealistic - we need to understand they’ve got different timelines, different bodies, different diets and so much more. We’re different people and our bodies grow and move differently. Oh jeeeezzz, It’s coming up to that time of year again. You know? The time where people start giving up on their fitness and fat loss goals because summer is nearly here. They started in January, they’ve put 4 or 5 months of hard work in,  They’ve achieved some amazing progress, maybe achieved their body goals, But now their holiday is around the corner + things are getting busier in the lead up to summer, So they, just, well, stop…⛔ They stop prioritising their workouts, they develop a ‘sod it’ mentality when it comes to food,  The goals they’ve worked SO hard towards over the past few months have been hit, So they get complacent, and take their foot off the pedal completely. I’ve been doing this job long enough to notice this pattern happens EVERY DAMN YEAR LADIES!🤣 But you know what will happen come September if you stop everything now? (Because I hear this every September haha😜), You will have lost your progress, you will be back to square 1, feeling crap, and cursing yourself. I’m not saying you can’t have fun over summer FFS, and I do appreciate it’s harder when you have more social events/holidays etc. BUT,  It is so important to keep your fitness and health ticking over: 🍉Reducing the frequency of workouts a little 🍉Rather than calorie counting, thinking about food quality and mindful eating 🍉Still aiming to hit a certain step target (even if it’s lower than your current one) 🍉2 litres of water daily Trust me, you don’t want to get to Autumn and have to start all over again (only to then give up over Christmas lol jokes). But seriously,  This is a lifestyle change. It’s not some quick fix that you do for a few months of the year when you feel like it. Keep going, keep treating your body like it deserves to be treated, and you’ll feel so much better for it in a few months. ✨ Don’t be a giver-uper! ✨ And for ladies who want to progress over summer, the link for my coaching is in my bio! 🔗 Ps.
