I’ve been thrown some curveballs today. The upside is that I’ve been able to tend to my plan for May. 🗓️ Praise God! What I share is by no means necessary for anyone else to do when starting this or any other nutrition plan.  But I have been at this for a while and have found what works best for me — clear parameters laid out vs. winging it or storing it all in my head.  🤯 Also, weight is not my focus.  ⚖️ However, I do use it as one gauge of how my body is healing.  But by no means is it the primary focus of my journey.  If it were, I would have thrown in the towel a long time ago given my trends — swipe to see my weight trends.   The fact is, my body has been in a state of trauma from an array of compounding issues, including a sugar/food addiction that I was unware of for years.  Healing is rarely linear, the same is true for weight loss. 📉 Having been on the #liondiet 🥩 for 90 days, #carnivore for over 1 year with occasional veggies and dairy, and no sugars or flours since 2021, I’m opting to go slow with my reintroduction of carnivore foods. I’ll take it week by week for now, diligently observing how my body responds to the food I reintroduce and making the necessary shifts. 🙏🏼 ✨Are you ready to tackle your health in May? Shikinda came in 30 weeks pregnant with sciatica and pubic pain. She was having to sleep in a recliner because of the discomfort and struggled getting out of the car. ⁠ ⁠ Upon evaluation, Shikinda had misalignment in her spine which was causing the discomfort. After getting adjusted her pain was healed and she was able to enjoy her pregnancy feeling and functioning great! Her breech baby also turned.⁠ ⁠ Cheers to Shikinda!

I've spent about 15 yrs working in the medical field. Pediatrics, family practice, ob/gyn, general surgery, and plastics. In those years I have seen people's bodies of all shapes & sizes. Here are 2 PROFOUND truths that each practice had in common: ✨️ woman of all sizes & ages are insecure about their weight and/or how their body looks (it starts very young) ✨️ and every woman's body actually looks the same no matter the size! From almost no body fat - to more than the average amount- We are ALL insecure about something but I mostly heard our patients talk about insecurities with the tummy area and/or their weight. Put a ❤️ in the comments if you've ever felt insecure about your body. When they seemed embarrassed to share their weight out loud in from of their partner, I'd smile & say "it's ok, your partner knows your body & loves you." And EVERY time, I'd see the partner smile with a twinkle in their eye, probably thinking about some ❤️‍🔥 happy memories 😆. I think back to the most thin & fit patient I've ever seen, hardly any body fat. Yet gravity & aging did to her what it does to all of us. Her breasts & tummy skin drooped down too, like an apron belly, and she too, felt very insecure about her body. I realized that day that we women share the same body insecurities, just different sizes & that body size & weight does cure insecurities. A conversation I had with a girlfriend recently made me realize many people don't know that our bodies are more similar than different. Everyone is insecure about how their body looks. You are not alone. Everyone thinks their body insecurity is unique, bad & abnormal. That can't be further from the truth. Remember this: We are more similar than we are different. Bars- 2 cups oats 2 scoops choice of protein (I used @equipfoods “Marybeth” for a discount!”) 1 cup peanut butter 3tbsp honey or syrup 2 tbsp melted coconut oil Add ins 1/4 cup of 2: Chocolate. Empowered Women Empower Women & Girls "There's More To Me Than What I See" Brunch Fundraiser hosted by Shalanda Layton & @jakellswife The only thing I knew before hand when Shara and I were invited was that I was going to be given a chance to briefly introduce my business and I was nervous about getting up to speak about just that. 🤣🤣🤣 But God said, "Watch thissss!!" - Usher vc Just the day before, my husband was telling me in a random conversation we were having " Aisha, you are more prepared than you think you are. " Who knew I'd get to see the very next day just how prepared I am. I talked to a couple of women who inspire me in the community, afterward saying, " This was my first time doing anything like this, and it was on the spot. How did I do?" They both said they would've never known. They both expressed how proud they were of me. And I can say with confidence that I'm proud of me too. When I first moved to Columbus back in January, I had no friends or barely knew the area which forced me to stay home almost every day. Stuck with a toddler, I felt like I had no one to talk to and got more depressed by day. I knew I had to take action when I found myself constantly taking it on my husband which led to a fight and spending more time feeling sorry for myself than paying attention to my daughter. Here are 3 things I think most helped feel less lonely and enjoy motherhood more. If you're in the same shoe as I am, I wanna connect! Comment some of your struggles or tips you got to share😊 1. I used Facebook to search for mom groups in the area and posted to see if anyone wanted to be my playdate buddy. To my pleasant surprise a lot of moms reached out to me and invited to meet-ups and weekly playgroups. Social media is also a great tool for an introvert like me because it takes away the fear of having to start an awkward conversation with another mom face to face at a park😉 2. I started scheduling my day so that I would have to leave my house at least once. I started taking my daughter to a storytime at the library, found a nice park to walk or just relax, or made a list of groceries and went to a store. Literally anything to get out of the house. When I do that I found time going much quicker and felt much more productive. 3. I saw some of my friends talking to their toddlers like they would to adults. Talking about their favorite TV shows, their plans for the day, gossip about daddy. It's honestly still difficult for me because I tend to be quiet at home when I know my daughter doesn't understand half of what I'm saying. But it's fun and helps me vent my feelings. শিশুর কান্না নিয়ে যত ভুল ধারনাঃ 😥 আহা, কষ্টের কিছু নেই! শিশুর কান্না নিয়ে মাথা খারাপ করার আগে, একটু গভীর শ্বাস নিন। এই পোস্টটা পড়ে দেখেন, হয়তো বেশ কিছু ভুল ধারনা কাটিয়ে উঠতে পারবেন। 😇 জন্মের সাথে সাথেই যে শিশু কান্না দিয়ে জানান দেয় সে এসেছে, সেটা তো সবার জানা কথা। কিন্তু, জানেন কি, এই কান্নাটা আসলে তার সুস্থতার লক্ষণ! এর মাধ্যমেই সে নিজের ফুসফুসকে পরিষ্কার করে নেয়, শ্বাস-প্রশ্বাস চালু করে নেয়। এবার আসল কথা, জন্মের পরে কেন বাচ্চা কাঁদে? কখন কাঁদবে? কতক্ষণ কাঁদবে? 😕 ছোটবেলায় আপনি আর আমি, আমরা তো কথা বলতে পারতাম না। শিশুদেরও তাই। তাদের কাছে কান্নাই একমাত্র উপায় সব কিছু জানানোর। খিদে লাগলে কাঁদবে, অস্বস্তি হলে কাঁদবে, আদর লাগবে তখনও কাঁদবে। হাসি আসতেও তাদের একটু সময় লাগে। তাহলে কি শিশু কাঁদলেই তাকে খাবার দেব? 😕 এমন ভুল করবেন না যেন! প্রথমে বুঝতে হবে কেন সে কাঁদছে। হয়তো নাপি হয়ে গেছে, বা কোলে যেতে চায়। একটা কথা আছে, "না কাঁদলে মা দুধ দেয় না" ঠিক তেমনি, "কান্না করলেই খাওয়ানো"-ও ঠিক না। কিন্তু, ঠিক কি করবেন তাহলে? 1. খাওয়ানোর সময় সঠিক পদ্ধতি মেনে চলুন - বাচ্চার মুখ পুরোপুরি বুকের কালো অংশে ঢেকে দিন। 2. ঢেঁকুর তোলার অভ্যাস করুন - প্রতিবার খাওয়ানোর পর কাঁধে নিয়ে হালকা চাপ দিয়ে পিঠ মুড়িয়ে দিন। 3. শিশুর কান্নার কারণটা বুঝতে চেষ্টা করুন - হয়তো গ্যাস (gas) হয়েছে, তাই কষ্ট পাচ্ছে। এক্ষেত্রে ঘনঘন খাওয়ানো বন্ধ করুন। এই সব কিছু মনে রাখলে, নিশ্চই আপনার শিশুর কান্না আর চিন্তার কারণ হবে না। #ikriandmaa #Mothercare #babycare #babyhealthcare #momhealth #babyhealthtips
