- Embrace the fluctuations in your fitness performance and redefine your best! Now when you place expectations on yourself, you tend to overestimate what you have to give. Especially when it comes to fat loss. You’ll sit down, say you want X in Y weeks. And then just list everything you need to get that result as fast as possible. 10k steps a day. A 1000-calorie daily deficit. In the gym 4 times a week for 60 minutes a pop. You think you need to give EVERYTHING, on EVERYDAY. Guess what. You’ll crash and burn within two weeks. Change your definition of success. Instead of success being doing EVERYTHING. Make it by doing your best. One week your best might be hitting 10k steps, a harsh calorie deficit and four 1-hour long workouts. One week it might be brushing your teeth twice a day, getting 5000 steps in and showing up to your spin class 10 minutes late. If you can go to bed and say to yourself, I did the best I could given the circumstances. Then be happy with the results you get, be that 2lbs lost or maintaining your weight.

So never mind my unbrusged hair and sleepy look I just got up from bed😉 Weighed myself 60.6 kg but yesterday it was 60.0 (ate too much of salty food last evening). All in all I consider I managed to maintain weight without counting calories (had big break in weight loss). But now I am ready to resume my weight loss journey and this time I will do it right. 0.6 kg a week. Minus 3 kg in 5 weeks. By 3-rd of June I must be in better body, better health and better mood rather I am now. Let’s have an honest talk… You’re using weight loss to feel worthy of yourself. You think weight loss will validate your feelings, make you love yourself, or give you that love that you never received. …it won’t do that. And when you lose that weight…you’re going to find that out the hard way. Happiness isn’t miraculously waiting for you on the other side. And that random f*cking number you generated in your head to determine you’re worthy…yea that won’t help either. This isn’t to say weight loss won’t bring you confidence…it can…but confidence isn’t self worth. Your self worth is your ceiling of potential. And hitting a goal weight does not raise your belief in your potential. It actually creates a glass ceiling that will shatter once you realize it doesn’t mean sh*t and you’ll most likely rebound your weight loss because of that. How do you build self worth? Show up for yourself. Set goals. Accomplish goals. Set another goal. Accomplish that. Shatter that previous image you had of yourself. Build a new one. Challenge your unkind thoughts about yourself. Set boundaries. Don’t compare yourself to someone else. This will increase your belief of yourself. This will increase your self worth.
