Just finished this beauty. This was my first book by @authorkelsierae and I really loved it. I was consumed and totally invested in Reese. This book is written in the POV of Reese with the exception of one chapter where you get Rivers POV. Honestly I prefer books that gives both POV of the main characters. But that being said it didn't bother me in this book that we only got the story from Reese's POV. Rivers intentions were very clear and I felt their attraction and interest in each other throughout the book. I just love River and I love Reese and River together. Given Reese her trauma I felt pretty proud when she went all feisty with River's mom. A Little Tempting by Kelsie Rae ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 I am still emotionally traumatized from the first book in this series A Little Complicated. It's one of those books that is going to live rent-free in my head forever. This review will have spoilers for other series written by Kelsie Rae. In this book, we follow Dylan Thorne, daughter of Colt and Ashlyn, from Don't Let Me Fall. As was hinted in A Little Complicated, there is something between Dylan and Everett, son of Macklin and Kate from Don't Let Me Break. (There is a reason I made a family tree bookmark for this series 😂). What seemed to be feelings in the form of a strong protectiveness from Everett is actually hiding something deeper from their past. Reeves is a "ladies man" and hockey teammate of Everett. He has an eye on Dylan, and after a masked game of hide and seek that ends in a kiss, he keeps his identity a secret, not thinking himself good enough for her. After being paired up on a photography project, sparks fly between them. For me, Reeves carried this book. I didn't really connect with Dylan. She was written with an extremely awkward personality, and while I know that was a result of a hockey accident when she was young, I just couldn't get past that. That's a personal preference for me, I can understand characters who get flustered or awkward during stressful situations. But when it is a characters entire personality, I don't like it. All on all, I really enjoyed this book and think it was a good continuation to the series! ⭑ BOOK REVIEW ⭑ i absolutely flew through this book; once i started, i simply could not put it down. i had such a fun time reading it. there were so many fun scenes in this book with amazing banter and some very unique character interactions that i loved so much. Colt was such a great male main character. i fell in love with his depth and his tendency to go out of his way, not only for Ash, but for Ash’s friends as well. he is genuinely the definition of actions speak better than words. ✨ Book Review ✨ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 🌶️🌶️🌶️ ✔️ Second Chance Not to totally sell myself out here but I found this author on TikTok. She has these little videos where she talks about a hypothetical situation which turns out to be a scene from one of her books and dang it if I didn’t make my first TikTok purchase after that. 🤣 Thennn to make matters worse when I got the book it came with this free novella which of course I had to read first because it’s a novella right? 🤣🤣 And spoiler alert I am completely obsessed. 🤩 This is a super quick read (less than 40 pages) but it’s a novella so I’m totally fine with that. But the best part is though she be tiny she is GREAT. I really enjoyed this read. Somehow it had all the best romance aspects and gave me all the little goosebumps and butterflies. I am very much a mood reader so I didn’t pick it up until recently and Holy guaca-freaking-moly am I upset that I waited so long. This book absolutely tore my heart to shreds. Throughout the book I knew that *something* sad was going to happen, but I was NOT prepared for what did. This is a sports romance that has boyfriend’s brother, forbidden love, secret relationship, etc. It is FILLED to the brim with angst, tension and heartache. This was my first Kelsie Rae book and she has me hooked now. Ophelia struggles between choosing her best friend and Mystery Man which leads to lots of twists and turns and a gut wrenching ending 😭 This series follows the kids from the Don’t Let Me series.
