Struggling to switch off…? Running your own business is hard And trying to switch off from it is even more difficult if you actually care about it and the people you work with But taking time away from your business will help it in the long run This is something I struggled with massively over the years but hear me out It’s a good way for you to filter clients…if people are going to drop off it’s probably when they’ll do it as they know you’re away from your phone and if they drop off because you’ve taken a week off, they’re probably not the people you want to work with anyway Some of the best ideas, content strategies, next steps etc will come from downtime You’ll find your in a much more creative headspace when you’re not constantly doing check in’s, messaging clients back or posting on social media It’s a good way to remove unwanted followers, Instagram will only push your content to a certain percentage of your followers, if they’re not your ideal client they won’t interact with the content and it’ll bomb So when you’re away make sure you share it, you’ll notice an increase in story views and more than likely a drop in followers But these are all good things. ⭐️ Client Spotlight! ⭐️ Matthew the mountain goat. 🐐 Whether he is running his business, working in his immaculate yard, fixing up his cabin, or scaling ALL of the mountainsides, he is always going. He NEEDS his body strong and willingly coming along for the ride. And he works HARD for that. So why does he train with me? In his words: I started training with Andrea for a few reasons: building strength to compensate for chronic back and shoulder injuries, learning proper form, and having accountability. I continue training with Andrea because of her knowledge of physiology and muscle-building science, the variety of exercises, and because of her personality — she is sarcastic and funny, but cares about me and my health and has become a trusted friend over the years. She is encouraging but not militaristic and uses positivity to elicit my best effort at the gym. Matthew is a long-standing client become friend. I’ve been a bit hesitant to share this because I didn’t start back my movement journey to lose weight. but f*ck it…I be sharing this whole journey with ya’ll might as well share this too! I’d be lying if I didn’t acknowledge that the version of me on the left didn’t like what I saw when I looked in the mirror, felt like I had NO energy, couldn’t keep up with mateo and was tired all the time. there’s things about this new body that I’ve grown to love and will likely never be able to get rid of, like my c-section pouch or my stretch marks…but the extra weight had been weighing me tf down. since committing to daily 10 minute movement breaks, my mind and body have literally transformed. ✨I can run around with mateo and not get winded (this is the biggest win tbh) ✨I’ve started craving moving my body more, so in general I’m way more active ✨I’ve wanted to eat healthier because I’m actually taking care of myself ✨I feel 10x more confident ✨my clothes fit better ✨the list goes on…. Feel like Cinderella in 8 weeks…. This is bride to be Staceyann She’s a police officer who came to me with a main goal in mind To get ready for her big day But she didn’t know how to do this around shifts And not only that but the dreaded uni work that you have to do on top of everything else now After just 8 weeks she said this: ‘I didn’t know how much my body has changed until I re tried on a potential dress for my hen. Shift work can easily get in the way of your wellness, especially around menopause. But the good news is there are ways to get around this.. 1 Hydration = hydrating well before and at the start of your shift if possible will help your energy levels; 2 Batch cook on your day off - prepping wholesome food to freeze for the week ahead will help nourish you, maintain healthy blood sugar levels meaning you won't want to snack on those health saboteurs so much; 3 Try online fitness classes - these fit easily around an irregular schedule, can be done from home at any time of the day, meaning you never have to miss a class. I want you to try something Take a second, think about 3 goals you want to achieve this week. Think of small, short term goals, think of habits you can improve. Once you have your 3 goals in mind, write them down. The reason I ask you to do this is because small goals add up and turns into big ones. Here are mine for the week: 1. Track macros 2. Communication Is Key! 🔑 No matter what type of relationship it is Marital, friend, coach, business partner Communication is always going to be key If you had a problem would you tell your significant other about it so you could find a way to solve that problem? You would, right? So why is your relationship with your fitness coach any different? In order for us to help you solve a problem we first have to know a problem exists If you are struggling with nutrition but never tell us how are we supposed to help you?
