I’ve been trying to clean up my bookshelves lately. I love having lots of pretty books on display, but I have so many that I’ve never even read…or I’ve read them and just don’t need a copy to keep. So, I’m slowly listing books on @pangobooks and loving how easy it is! I’ve sold a few, so I’m going to keep listing and hope to get rid of some more. These are the latest books to go in my shop and I’ll have some more to list soon! You can find my link to shop in my bio! Q: Do you keep all your books? Or sell/donate the ones you don’t want/need?

ʟ’ᴜɴɪᴄᴀ ᴄᴏꜱᴀ ᴅɪ ᴄᴜɪ ʜᴏ ᴘᴀᴜʀᴀ è ᴜɴᴀ ᴠɪᴛᴀ ꜱᴇɴᴢᴀ ᴛᴇ Ciao space friends come state? P U B . D A Y . B O O K . T O U R "The Wisdom of the Willow" by Nancy Chadwick (@nancychadwickauthor) I have always been obsessed with weeping willow trees. I don't know if my love of them started because of the grandmother in Pocahontas or if it's just been their grandness. The idea of snuggling up under one, hidden by its branches, and losing myself in a book sounds like the ultimate cozy dream. In Chadwick's new book, "The Wisdom of the Willow", the Dowling family spends time together under their own willow tree, sharing stories, offering advice, and passing lessons along to one another. The story centers on the four Dowling daughters as they move through life. "'The Wisdom of the Willow' is a story of hope and healing, of the choices that shape our lives, and the challenges we all face as we seek to find our places in the world." Thank you to @prbythebook for having me on this book tour. I may not have a willow to read under, but I'll definitely find a tree to enjoy this book beneath this summer. "The Wisdom of the Willow" is out today, May 7, 2024.

👀 #ifihavetohaunted #mirandasun #éditionspéciale #fairyloot #bookstagram #bookreview #book #avislecture #rivalstolovers #booklover #bookbookbook #avis #fantastique #ghost #youngadult #paranormal #romance # #booksiown

B U D D Y . R E A D I am super excited to be a part of @celadonbooks 2024 Read Together Initiative. Not only did I receive a copy of one of my most highly-anticipated reads of this year, but I got paired with three awesome Booksta babes to discuss the book throughout the month of May. I am such a sucker for anything that takes me back to the late 90s. Aka my childhood! And "Honey" promises to do just that, with the introduction of the girl group Cloud9. As an older lady though, I am also intrigued (and angered) by the darker side of those days, and this book also delves into those situations. "Honey" is going to give us a lot to discuss, and I can't wait to dive into this book with my reading buddies.

#bookreview The hubby pulled this one down off the shelf, based solely on the title, for me to read next when he realized I was between books. Funnily enough, the last one he blindly chose for me was also a space novel. This was an arc copy I had received but hadn't gotten around to and oooh maaaan was it riddled with grammar issues! It was kind of painful to read, though I have to assume most of the missing words, double words, and half sentences were corrected by the time it went to print. Goldilocks was a bit slow to start, finding its pace somewhere around the hundred page mark. It was cute, but nothing to... ahem... message home about. Earth is dying, men are trying to keep women out of the workplace, and five female astronauts have had enough. They steal a spaceship intent on heading to a newly discovered planet with the hopes of terraforming it and making it the utopia they've all dreamed about. Only, once in orbit, the crew discover their captain has some nefarious plans in place that they don't necessarily agree with, and shit starts going sideways fast. It's a pandemic-slash-eco sci fi novel at heart, with a smattering of familial drama, and yet beyond the dark and depressing storyline, there's also a little bit of light... the hope for humanity, the opportunity to save the world, the chance to start over again... you know, all the stuff that makes you keep reading. (Swipe to see yesterday's drive to work, which looked like how I imagine earth looked in this book) #booksiown #oldarc #husbandschoice #books #reviewsofinstagram #booksta #bookstagram #genxbookstagrammers #fiction #scifi #postpandy #ecofiction #spacefiction #stealaspaceship #flymetomars #theearthisdying #booklover #booknerd #bookworm

"But it is one thing to read about dragons and another to meet them." ― Ursula K. Le Guin, A Wizard of Earthsea 📚 The Books: - Dragonhaven by Robin McKinley - A Natural History of Dragons: A Memoir by Lady Trent by Marie Brennan If you're looking for a more scientific bent on dragon tales, I'd recommend you check out both Dragonhaven and the Memoirs of Lady Trent. Both are slower paced stories that are told as memoirs. They focus on the study of Dragons more than big action or a specific villian - but there is some action and stakes. It's hard to have giant dragons in your books and have zero stakes (unless they'retea dragons 🥰). They are excellent books and I wish more people who pick them up. Dragonhaven follows a teenage boy who grows up caring for dragons in a National Park. On his first solo trip in the park he comes across and dying adult dragon who has just given birth. The book follows his journey with the surviving dragon pup. (standalone) A Natural History of Dragons: A Memoir by Lady Trent is the story of Isabella and her fascination of Dragons starting from a young age in the fictional country of Scirland. She tells of her expeditions and how she became an expert in dragonology. B O O K . T O U R "Bad Habit" by Alana S. Portero Pub Day : 4/24/23 Portero's debut novel, "Bad Habit," is a raw, beautiful story of a trans woman's coming-of-age journey in 1990s Madrid. Set against the heroin epidemic, the unnamed main character leaves behind a world not for them, and discovers different people and spaces that celebrate and embrace the queer community. "Raw, unapologetic, and ingenious in its expressions of pain, 'Bad Habit' bravely bares the scars of being queer in an unaccepting society while illuminating unexpected pockets of hope and tenderness." –Booklist I can already tell that this book is going to rip my heart out, and then put it back together with rainbow tape and glitter glue. It's definitely one that I'll be reading in June for PRIDE. Thank you to @bibliolifestyle and @harperviabooks for having me on this tour and providing me a beautiful finished copy.

🦉 Next of Kin by Dan Wells ▫️Books I own # 2 ▫️Source: Christmas gift ▫️Status: read ▫️Rating: 4 stars ▫️Fun fact: the only book I still own from this series My Goodreads review "John Wayne Cleaver is a monster. But so are the things he hunts. He lives by strict rules to keep himself and others safe. And he's not the only one. But what happens when someone breaks the rules?" This is John Cleaver # 3.5, from a series that started with I Am Not a Serial Killer. I read this series a few years ago and I loved it. John Cleaver is a troubled teenager trying to build safeguards around himself to protect people from his psychopathy. His talents and strong sense of purpose eventually take him far from his hometown and into a world of government agencies and supernatural threats. I owned some of the other books in the series, but because of limited space, I don't keep every book forever. I did keep this one because it's one of those Amazon print-on-demand kind of deals and it makes me feel special to see the date in the back when it was printed just for me 😂 There's also a pretty decent movie of I Am Not a Serial Killer. ❓️Do you have a favorite book series? 🔪 🔪 🔪 #booksiown #johnwaynecleaver #danwells #iamnotaserialkiller #psychopath #badguysdoinggood #novella #bookcollection #weekend #ilikebiglistsandicannotlie #specialbooks #nextofkin #emotionallymute #useyourgifts #athenasbooks🦉

• F I N A L • R E V I V A L • THE FINAL REVIVAL OF OPAL & NEV || DAWNIE WALTON || PUB 2021 37 INK - IMPRINT, S&S Popping out of my bookclub updates of murder and mayhem to assure you that I do read and enjoy many genres! Keeping up with the catch-ups by FINALly reviewing this favourite of one of last year’s many reading challenges. OPAL & NEV! I’ve had photos sitting in favourites, ready to go, just waiting for one of these “enough time/creative energy” pockets to jump on and exclaim that I LOVED THIS BOOK! The historical timeline of the 70s music scene, the references, the mystique and allure of the rise to fame and the building and crumbling of band relationships but also - and most significantly - the collision of art and protest, the all too real battles Black women and all women of colour face daily to prove themselves as creative names and industry giants in their own right. This is a packed book that draws from so much history yet keeps the characters in the forefront, bringing them that much more to life. I had been kicking myself for waiting so long to read it, if you haven’t, read it. If you read Daisy and think, meh, it’s the same, IT’S BETTER. WALTON DID IT BETTER. This is not up for discussion. There, said what I should’ve said last year. B O O K . R E V I E W "Evie's Haven" by Lisa Plaice (@plaicelisa) ◾ Are you a handy person? Can you fix things? I'm not super skilled but if I watch enough YouTube videos I can start to muddle my way through a project. (Looking at you toilet flapper mechanism thing!) Anyway, this book was super duper cute. I loved Evie's fierce independence as a woman and business owner. I admired the example she was trying to set for her daughter, who's embarking on her college journey soon. And I appreciated Evie's openness and willingness to step outside of her comfort zone. Ryan was a great character as well. He was kind and understanding. He was protective. He pushed Evie just enough and then gave her space to figure out what she wanted to do and who she wanted to become. Ryan and Evie had great banter and delicious chemistry -- both in and out of the bedroom. Plaice did a wonderful job developing the side characters, too, especially Katie and Beth--the latter I'm hoping will be getting her own story in the future. Overall this was a really quick but enjoyable romance, with likeable characters you can't help but root for and raw, honest moments that any of us could find ourselves having to navigate. Thank you to @katerockbooktours for having me on the tour and to the author for sending me a copy of the book! (I'm still obsessed with how soft and swoony the cover is).

B O O K . T O U R “Out of Office” by AH Cunningham (@ahcwrites) ▪️ Do you have any vacations planned in the upcoming months? I don’t have anything soon, and I envy the main character in this book—Genevieve—who is taking two weeks off to explore the Colón and all the beauty it has to offer. It doesn’t help that her ultra attractive driver Adrián is along for the ride. I’m so excited to read this book this summer. It promises a streamy romance, personal healing, and figuring out what truly makes you happy. Thank you to @harlequinpublicityteam for sending me a copy of this incredibly beautiful book. “Out of Office” is available as of 4/23/24.

#thelanguageofflowers #illinguaggiosegretodeifiori #garzanti #vanessadiffenbaugh #flowers #spring #fiction #romance #contemporary #books #adult #chicklit #realistic #novels #booksIown #library #comingofage #adoption #family #relationships #fosterchildren #homelessness #literature #gardening #love #meaningofflowers #women

B O O K . R E V I E W "Burner" by Mike Trigg (@mike_trigg254) ◾ Has the internet / social media always been a part of your life? I have witnessed all the advancements when it comes to the web, cell phones, and technology. (You guys remember iPods?!) It has been a while ride. Almost as wild as this book! Trigg's newest novel "Burner" starts off at a sprint and chases you through the dark, twisty streets of Cyberland until the last page. There was a lot of scary elements to this book, but not because it's a horror novel. Rather because we see so much of it these days. From online arguments to deep fakes; discord rooms full of conspiracy theorists and extremists. The Internet connects us in the best of ways, but also the worst of them. And Trigg shines a glaringly bright light on the latter. I was never really sure who to trust / like while reading. Everyone was making power-hungry moves and no one was who they seemed to be. This might not work for some readers, but I love an unreliable narrator. I was sent a gifted copy of this book from @booksparks as part of their #springpopup. It was a highly engaging read that made me want to shut off all my electronics and just sit in silence for a bit.

I've been reading a lot of mediocre or not great books lately, so I'm flashing back to a few months ago when I had a great reading week. I read all of these in February when I was traveling for work. I brought the physical copies of Kiss the Girl and Codename Charming for the plane. Planes are the only mode of transport where I can read without getting sick so I prefer to knock a few easy reads if I can. Of the two, Codename Charming was my favorite. Lucy Parker just does romcoms with a little hijinx so well. I love them. Kiss the Girl was a lot of fun too and it was a perfect travel read. Daughter of the Deep wasn't physically with me, but I listened to the audiobook through @libby.app . I think this was my least favorite of the week - and my least favorite Rick Riordan so far - but it was still a fun adventure book. My Kindle is on top of this stack. I had started The Rebound by Catherine Walsh before the trip, but took my time with it since it was the last book of hers I hadn't read. If you prefer your romcoms lighter on the spice (like an Emily Henry level), you should check out Walsh. Her books are so cozy and I've loved each one. ☀️ what type of books do you bring on trips? Can you read while you're riding in a car, train, or planes? 💗🤍💗💚🤍💗💚🤍💚💗🤍💗💚🤍💚💗🤍🤍💚💗 #bookstagram #bookstagramlife #booknerd #reading #readingaddict #midwestreader #bookrecommendations #bookishthings #bookcover #booklover #shelfspotlight #booksiown #booksirecommend  #bookstagramnewbie #bookobsessed #readersofinstagram #bookishlife

Even when she's clawing my couch or trying to trip me while I'm carrying the laundry basket. ◾ Do you have any pets? Tell me all all about them. Also I tagged a few friends to join in!

❓Guess the title❓ So this is one of my absolute favorite favorite posts for booksta 🤩 Basically I cover up the titles of books and make Marisa guess the title and it usually ends up being hilarious 😂 Except she’s getting better and better because she got two of them right 😱 I was tempted to give her two new ones but then I got too lazy 🫣🫠 So from top left to bottom right we’ve got 📚Lessons in Chemistry✅ 📖Finding Herself and the Bird 📚Once More With Feeling✅ 📖Detective in Sherlock Holmes Hat with Coffee So there we have it, Marisa did good this time so whenever you see this next I will be pulling much harder books thank you very much 😂 Did you get any of the books?? #books #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagramfeature #guessthetitle #guessing #guessinggame #guessthebook #tbrbooks #tbrbookstack #lovebooks #bookstoread #booksiown #alwaysreading #readreadread #readersgonnaread #happyreading #booksbooksbooks #worldofbooks #bookworm #booklion #bookdragon

QOTD: How do you keep track of all of your books? Recently I have been using notion. Creating pages and listening things like the books i own, the books I have on my mood reading TBR, my series TBR, my standalone TBR and the books I have on my kindle. I’m hoping this helps since it’s organised into sections and I can tick these books off as I read them, and since I’m a mood reader I do just keep adding books onto my TBR then forgetting I want to read them so it’s nice to see it all in lists #notion #booksiown #tbr #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #booklover #booknerd #bookworm #bookaddict #bookish #bookishfeatures #instabook #igreads #booksofinstagram #reader #reading #bibliophobe #bookaholic #bookcollection #lovebooks #bookstagramcommunity #lovereading #booklove #booklife #booksbooksbooks #fantasybooks #fantasylover #sffinternational

B O O K . T O U R "Habitations" by Sheila Sundar (@sheilamythili) The one thing I love about working with @booksparks is all of the books they put on my radar. Like this one, which was published on 4/2/24! "Habitations" is described as 'a profound meditation on the many meanings of home and on the ways love and kinship can be found, even in the most unfamiliar of places.' In this novel, the MC Vega moves from India to the United States to attend Columbia University. Throughout the story, Vega navigates this new world, discovering love, relationships, single-motherhood, all while trying to define what home looks like. I love books where the main characters move through life on a voyage of self-discovery. I am really excited to read "Habitations" and take this journey through life with Vega. Thank you to Book Sparks for sending me a copy and for having me on The New Classic Spring Reading Challenge.

Exposing my TBR Thanks to @celireads for the tag! Took me ages but I'm finally getting to it. Next read: Tales of the Celestial Kingdom by Sue Lynn Tan 🌕This is a library book, not one I own, but I know I'll be getting into this one soon. Most daunting: The Fireman by Joe Hill 🔥This is the longest one I own in my TBR. Fun fact, I got it signed by him. Prettiest cover: The Complete Stories by Flannery O'Connor 🦚I just love the watercolor design. Most hyped: The Girl with the Louding Voice by Abi Dare 🇳🇬I picked this because it has a Reading with Jenna sticker. I got it from the library book sale. Book I keep picking up: Devotions by Mary Oliver 🐦I love her poetry but I can't just sit and read poems, so I haven't read everything in this book. I probably have 40-something books on my physical TBR. My mental TBR though? Infinite. I tagged some others if you feel like participating 😉 #tbr #bookflatlay #tbrlist #books #bookfan #booksiown #bookcollection #bookstagram

💜Purple Stack💜 I was tagged by @thelibraryofcoco to do a purple book stack! When I got the tag I was honesty really thinking I would not be able to because I could not think of any purple books I owned. Luckily though I had waaaay more than I thought, AND I’ve read most of them! I’d love to see your purple stacks as well! 🥰🥰 Books pictured: - The Finale by Stephanie Garber (not read) - Shadow Kiss by Richelle Mead (I read this in highschool and it was one of the first series that I ever bought as they were published) - The Assassin’s Blade by SJM (okay it’s mostly blue but it has enough purple to count!) - Violet Made of Thorns by Gina Chen (I absolutely LOVED this book and am so sad that the author decided to not write the sequel 😭) - Cage of Dreams by Rebecca Schaeffer (I LOVED this duology. It was a fun quick read filled with quirky characters and narrative.) - All This Twisted Glory by Tahereh Mafi (I haven’t started this series but it’s SO PRETTY!) #purplebooks #purplebookstack #bookstack #bookstacks #bookstackchallenge #booksiown #lovetoread #somanybooks #tbr #illreadthemeventually #favoritebooks #bookrecommendations

B O O K . T O U R "In a Not So Perfect World" by Neely Tubati Alexander (@neelyalexanderwrites) Are you ready for your next summer read? Alexander's newest book (published 3/19/24) is part of @booksparks Spring Reading Challenge. It will transport you to the clear blue waters of Turks and Caicos. Unfortunately, I will be reading it from the state of Michigan, but a girl can dream. This is the perfect book for you if you love: - Tropical getaways - Video games - Females defying stereotypical roles - Fake dating Thank you @booksparks for having me as an ambassador for #SPRC2024 and for sending me this stunning book. I can't wait to escape with Sloane and Charlie.

I just saw online that Maryse Condé passed away today. Reading « Moi, Tituba sorcière noire de Salem » (in English “I, Tituba: Black Witch of Salem”) left such an impression on me. Trying to picture places and characters I was unfamiliar with, feeling infuriated with some of Tituba’s choices yet trying to look at them from a different perspective… I have read and re-read Maryse Condé’s words, each time finding new perspectives in her novel. I believe it also quick started my interest in historical records, and it later on led me to the work of Saidiya Hartman and what she calls “critical fabulation”. So, thank you for everything, Maryse Condé, and I hope you rest well.

Physical TBR Update 🤍 My TBR is currently the biggest it’s been in a while mainly due to being obsessed with my kindle but I’m determined to make more time to read my physical books in the next few months. 📚 currently reading? I’m currently reading The Club by Ellery Lloyd 📚 the next book i’m planning on reading? It’s likely going to be Meet Me By The Lake by Carley Fortune as I’m going on holiday soon and want a cute summer read to get me in the sunny mood. 📚 the most hyped book on your tbr? definitely None Of This Is True by Lisa Jewell, I’ve heard great things and I’m trying to read more thrillers. 📚 the prettiest cover on your tbr? oh that’s HARD, probably Wildfire by Hannah Grace as I snagged the sprayed edged copy and it’s gorg! 💬 which of the above would you recommend I read first? #tbr #physicaltbr #talkaboutyourtbr #bookchallenges #bookpile #tbrpile #bookstagram #booksiown #shelfie #bookshelf #bookstagrammer #beautifulbooks #readmorebooks #bookstack #igreads #igbooks #booksofig #readersofinstagram #readersofinsta #fictionbooks #bookaesthetic #bookspines #favoritebooks #bookstoread #booktography #tbrstack #toberead #tobereadpile #bookstagramuk

Over the last few years, Sulari Gentill @sularigentill has become one of my favorite mystery authors. Yesterday I finished her newest release, THE MYSTERY WRITER, and I’m still processing the twists and turns! I set timers and found little pockets of time to read over the last few days because I HAD to know what was going to happen next, but I also had so many responsibilities to take care of. A good book is often a great motivation for me to knock out my to-do list. The Mystery Writer is full of the things I’ve come to expect and love in Gentill’s novels: compelling characters, surprising plot twists, and a perfect mix of subtle foreshadowing and action packed sequences. This book follows Theo, an Australian woman who drops out of a prestigious law school to become a writer. She moves to a small town in Kansas to live with her lawyer brother, Gus, and his large but doting dog, Horse. I loved that this novel allowed for the passage of time. We get to see Theo over the course of many months, watching her acclimate to her new life. Conspiracy theories, preppers, confidentiality agreements, and stalker fans all play a big role in keeping the reader off balance, making this a genre-defying literary suspense mystery. FYI: Don’t read the back cover of the book! It gives away at least one major plot point from 200+ pages in. Her three stand alone novels are all really different from the historical fiction Rowland Sinclair mysteries, and I love how each one is so unique. Have you read any of Gentill’s books?

QOTD: What’s one of your comfort books? For me, it’s Ignite Me by @tahereh, Eliza and Her Monsters by @chessiezappia and Red, White and Royal Blue by @casey.mcquiston. Are these the best books I’ve ever read? In my heart, apparently, because for some reason, I keep coming back to them. On repeat. For all eternity. B O O K . T O U R "The Still Point" by Tammy Greenwood (@tgwood505) ◾ Do you have a favorite dance movie? I love so many of them, but Step Up 2 will always be one of the best. I never watched the show Dance Moms, but Greenwood's newest novel "The Still Point" sounds like how I imagine the show to be. Cut throat parents, the battle for prestige, and the dark / hard things that happen on the way to the top. Just like with the show, "The Still Point" also features a camera crew, as director Etienne Bernay searches for one student who will receive a full scholarship to the Ballet de Paris Academie. Cue the backstabbing, the jealousy, and the exposing of secrets! I can't wait to read this book. The drama sounds juicy and the lies dangerous, all surrounding mothers who will do anything to see their daughters thrive. Thank you to @bibliolifestyle and @kensingtonbooks for having me on the tour. "The Still Point" is available as of 2/20/24.

🖤💋Red & Black 💋🖤 Today I was tagged by @bookish_reads99 to do a color stack challenge! I tagged a few friends as well but no pressure if you don’t want to (or already have because I’ll be honest I didn’t double check 😅) I’d love to see everyone’s color stack so if you see this and haven’t been tagged in one yet, consider yourself tagged and let me know when you post yours! Choose your color stack based on the following: 🤍- if your favorite genre is thriller 🖤- if you wear glasses (all day) ❤️- if you love audiobooks 🧡- if you currently have flowers in a vase at home 💛- if you love to read outside 💚- if your birthday is in spring 💙- if your current read is a third-person narrative 💜- if your last book made you cry 🩷- if you’re seeing this while snacking A lot of these books are from my childhood/teen years and have been read and reread multiple times, and you can definitely see the wear and tear on a few of them! I love rereading books from my childhood. Love you all bunches! What’s your favorite color?? •~•~•~•~•~• Books pictured: - The Curse of Ravenscourt by Sarah Masters Buckey - Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead - Ruin & Rising by Leigh Bardugo - Classic Stories Collection by Edgar Allen Poe - Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves (I cheated and added a little white) - Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead - Our Violent Ends by Chloe Gong - House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas - Don’t Judge a Girl by Her Cover by Ally Carter (it’s technically blue and red but shhh, close enough!) •~•~•~•~•~• #colorstack #colorstackchallenge #redandblack #bookpic #bookpics #redbooks #bookstafriends #booknerd #booklover #bookrecommendations #shelfie #bookishlove #yafantasy #youngadultfantasy #middlegradebooks #yabooks #alwaysreading #readingaesthetic #readmorebooks #bookstagrammer #somanybooks #bookshelf #booksiown #differentgenres

I’ve been sick the last week and it has made it very difficult to read. The only book I was able to actually get through was an audiobook that I was able to listen to while resting. Finally I’m starting to feel better and my head is now mostly clear, and the words on a page no longer make me dizzy! I have been slacking on my physical books in general this year, so I am going to try and prioritize them more for the next month! I’ve gone through at least 5 ebooks in the time it took me to get 160 pages into this one physical book. Why is it so much easier to read ebooks than physical books?!?! #bookstagram #booksbooksbooks #ebooksvspaperbacks #ebook #paperback #reading #currentlyreading #thegoblinemperor #fantasy #fantasynovel #2024reads #booksiown #tbr #books #booklover #bookworm #bookaholic #bookcommunity #readersofinstagram #alwaysreading #whatimreading #bookobsessed #mybookpile

B O O K . T O U R "Watch Where They Hide" by Tamron Hall (@tamronhall) I recently finished the audiobook for Tamron's first book in the Jordan Manning series and I'm so excited to keep going. Jordan Manning is a news reporter with a knack and passion for solving crimes. I really loved her drive and tenacity in the first book, and the care she gave to unsolved cases, especially those in the Black community. "Watch Where They Hide" features a missing mother, which always raises the stakes a bit, and twists and turns that could place Jordan's life in danger. Thank you to @bibliolifestyle and @williammorrowbooks for this gifted copy of Hall's new book. Which is out as of 3/12/24.

3/20/2024, 4:27:13 PM

"Flirty Little Secret" by Jessica Lepe (@authorjessicalepe) ◾ What was your favorite subject in school? Mine was always English! This book was so flippin' cute. It'll tug on your heart strings one moment, then make you laugh the next. The mental health representation and discussion was done so beautifully. Lepe took a deep-dive into anxiety and ADHD through the charming but slightly neurotic Lucy. I really appreciate that books are starting to feature adult characters living with and talking about mental health, because it's something that needs to be less stigmatized in the real world. Fletcher was a great example of how to be a supportive partner and friend, without trying to "fix" the other person. He was kind, understanding, and compassionate, and he made me swoon with the little things he did for Lucy. Lucy was also a wonderfully crafted character. She was a little messy, which I loved, but she was also really honest in expressing how she was feeling. More people need to feel comfortable saying to their friends and loved ones, "I'm having a really bad mental health day." At the heart of this book was a gentle reminder that people's lives are not always what they present. We're all just trying to present our best selves when behind the curtain are stacks of anxieties and insecurities. Be kind to each other, but especially be kind to yourself. You deserve friendship and love, regardless of how messy your brain might be. A huge thank you to @readforeverpub for sending me an early copy! And to the author for writing such a great book.

B O O K . T O U R "Pulling Her Resources" by Mia Sivan (@miasivan.author) ◾ Do you think you could solve a mystery with any of your coworkers? I've said it once and I'll say it again, the older I get, the more I appreciate romances that feature older characters. This is one reason why I'm so excited to be on the tour for Mia Sivan's recently released book! It has single parents finding love again, it has a work place romance, it has a reverse age gap (She's 45, he's 34). It is enemies-to-lovers. "Pulling Her Resources" is a steamy later-in-life romance with a side dish of financial intrigue, set in Tel Aviv. This book has all the things I enjoy. I can't wait to meet Dafna and Erez and find out what the little bit of mystery is within the book. Thank you to @katerockbooktours and the author for having me on this tour and providing me a copy of the book!
