l e s e m o n a t a u g u s t • Hellooo, heute kommt mal wieder ein neuer verspäteter Lesemonat online. Ab jetzt bin ich, je nach Betrachtung, nur noch ein bis zwei Posts hintendran. Würde sagen, es wird langsam ... Bevor's gleich losgeht mit meinem #lesemonataugust noch ein kurzer random fact vorneweg: ich hab tatsächlich nur ein einziges der vier Bücher nicht im Buddyread gelesen. Für die dunkle Vanessa hatte ich einmal mehr eine nette kleine Leserunde :) • ,,Count On You" von Morgane Moncomble mit 4,5/5⭐ In meinen Augen leider schwächer als ,,Bet On You". Das Setting war einfach schon nicht ganz so spannend und es fiel mir nur sehr schwer, zu den beiden Hauptprotas eine Bindung aufzubauen. Spannung gab's aber trotz alledem und die Handlung konnte mich sogar mit dem ein oder anderen Twist überraschen. Ebenfalls wichtiger Pluspunkt: Es ging regelmäßig um Feminismen. • ,,Unsafe - Seaside Hideway" von Leonie Lastella mit 2/5⭐ Leider war die Story eher flach. Die erste Hälfte hab ich vor meinem Surfurlaub gelesen und die zweite danach. Also eigentlich thematisch perfekt für mich. Nur leider gleichzeitig auch eine Bestätigung für das, was ich bereits befürchtet hab: Als es ums Surfen und SUPen ging, war leider ziemlich viel Quatsch dabei. Allgemein hab ich die Story leider kaum gefühlt. Da war einfach zu viel Drama. Und bzgl. ihrem Bruder und ihrem Loveinterest muss ich sagen: Die Geheimnistuerei am Ende fühl ich ja mal gar nicht. Die ist einfach nur scheiße übergriffig und gefährlich. Aber nicht nur die beiden sind Meister im Nichtkommunizieren. Auch die weibliche Hauptperson selbst kann da problemlos mithalten ... • ,,Meine dunkle Vanessa'' von Kate Elisabeth Russell: Große Empfehlung an alle, die Lolita etwas abgewinnen können. Die Konzeption der Geschichte ist wirklich spannend. Aber leider(?) auch realistisch bis zum Schluss. • ,,The Things We Leave Unfinished" von Rebecca Yarros mit 3/5⭐ Wer nach ,,The Fourth Wing" noch einem vergleichbaren Buch sucht, ist hier leider falsch. Einzig ein paar Pilotenfakts bringen minimal ähnliche Vibes ins Spiel. Und gegen Ende gibt's dann doch noch den ein oder anderen mehr oder weniger vorhersehbaren spannenden Twist. >>>

🌩️ FadeAway 🌩️ Autor: Anabelle Stehl 🌩️ Žánr: NA, contemporary 🌩️ Série: ALWAYS 🌩️ Díl: druhý 🌩️ Počet stránek: 352 🌩️ Čteno: e-kniha (srpen 2023) 📚 Knihu jsem četla ve štafetě u @terez_booklover a chtěla bych ji za tuto možnost poděkovat. Když jsem dočetla první díl, tak jsem byla hodně nerozhodná ohledně hodnocení a dlouho jsem o tom přemýšlela. Už právě v průběhu čtení druhého dílu mě napadalo, že nejspíš bude lepší než díl první. Nakonec se to ukázalo jako pravdivé, hned po dočtení jsem si říkala, že byl doopravdy lepší než jeho předchůdce a pro jistotu jsem si to nechala uležet pár dní v hlavě. Musím přiznat, že i když jsem první díl četla letos v únoru, tak jsem ze začátku druhého dílu měla problém s postavami, ale po chvilce jsem všechny zařadila a šlo to skvěle. Líbilo se mi propojení postav a to, že se rozvíjel i jejich příběh. Protože o Phuong a její poznámky přijít nechcete. Milan byl taková pro mě zvláštní postava, protože sport stavěl na první místo před vším ostatním. Postupem knihy jsem si oblíbila i jeho. I v této knize přichází pár šoků a jedním z nich bylo chování Kyry po zápase, to doopravdy trochu přehnala. Kniha opět řeší vážně problémy a jak se s tím hlavní hrdinka vypořádává. Velmi se mi líbil nápad dopisů, které se ve knize objevily a bylo to doopravdy silné čtení. Konec knihy byl naprosto dokonalý a musím říct, že jsem potřebovala kapesníčky. Byl to masakr a líbilo se mi, jak se zde objevili různé reakce na Kyřin příběh. Nechci víc prozrazovat, abych vám tu nedala spoilery. Epilog byl úplně OMG! WOW! Tohle jsem doopravdy nečekala a jsem upřímně strašně moc zvědavá na třetí díl. 🌩️ Ghostwriter 🌩️ Autor: Alessandra Torre 🌩️ Žánr: contemporary, (thriller) 🌩️ Počet stránek: 320 🌩️ Čteno: kniha (srpen 2023) 📚 Knihu jsem četla ve štafetě u @vendy.dnes.cte a ještě jednou děkuji za tuhle příležitost. Od autorky jsem četla již Hříchy Hollywoodu a proto jsem se na další knihu velmi těšila a byla jsem zvědavá, co nám přinese a musím říct, že to bylo doopravdy něco. Helena je spisovatelka, která se rozhodne napsat svojí poslední knihu, ve které odhalí všechna svá dosavadní tajemství. Hned na začátku příběhu víme, že se něco stalo, ale naprosto netušíme o co jde. Potkáváme se s Helenou, která nám svůj příběh předává. Střídájí se zde vzpomínky a současnost a postupně odhalujeme celý příběh a skládáme ho dohromady. Helenu nejspíš budete nenávidět, protože je to neobvyklá postava, která v hodně ohledech myslí jen na sebe a řád, který se musí dodržovat. Pravidla cpe úplně všude. Vlastně se tváří, že díky ním žije dokonalý život. Jenže opak je pravdou a myslím, že vás na konci překvapí. I přesto, že jsem ji nechápala, tak mi ji bylo v závěru doopravdy líto. Marek je taková vichřice, který se Heleně dostane do života a to teprve začíná ta správná mela. Je to správný chlap, kterého si zamilujete a i přesto, že si prožil svoje, tak dokáže vnést smích a přátelství Heleně do života. Příběh se četl dobře, držel čtenáře v napětí a dával mu prostor pro vlastní teorie. Odhalení na konci bylo radikální. Musím přiznat, že jsem koukala s otevřenou pusou a nevěřila jsem vlastním očím. A přesně v ten moment je vám Heleny doopravdy líto. Byl to šílený šok. Musím přiznat, že i když čtenář věděl, kam to s Helenou směřuje, tak mě to stejně dostalo. Naprosto otevřeně přiznávám, že posledních několik stran jsem bulela jak želva. Cely příběh byl naprosto emotivní a vysilující, ale přesto dokonalý! Hlavně ten závěr, kdy sice Helena nebyla schopna čelit všem svým démonům přímo, ale to co se rozhodla udělat bylo krásné! Do tohohle příběhu jsem se doopravdy zamilovala, byl skvělý! Byla to emotivní jízda a doporučuji ji prožít každému. P. S.: pokud vám někdo řekne, že je kniha nudná a trapná, tak ho neposlouchejte, děkuji. ⭐ 5/5 ⬇️ POKRAČOVÁNÍ ⬇️⬇️

As we get closer to the end of August, I FINALLY finished the Faust(Rhyme is good 😋) It lasted longer than I thought but trust me, if you begin to read it you will understand the urge of comprehend everything written in this book. Because it is amazing in every sense. Goethe reflects the experience of living, and the truths of being a human. Gilman's book The Yellow Wallpaper and Other Stories was also great. I read the yellow wallpaper last semester while studying Literature and illnes. Book is mainly about the gender roles and how it affects the lives of women. This subject makes me so angry and I want to talk about it non-stop but I will stop now. I am aiming to make a seperate post about this matter but I don't know when. So, I read 4 books so far but there is one more book that I want to read. It is one of Shakespeare's but I'm not sure if I can manage to finish it until September. A lot going on in my life right now, and I feel so tired. 🌩️ Pan romantik 🌩️ Autor: Leisa Rayven 🌩️ Žánr: contemporary 🌩️ Série: Mistři lásky 🌩️ Díl: první 🌩️ Počet stránek: 392 🌩️ Čteno: e-kniha (srpen 2023) 📚 Další štafeta, kterou jsem přečetla byl Pan romantik a rozhodně vás asi nepřekvapí, když napíšu, že to byla štafeta od @tera_cte. Nějak jsem nevěděla, co chci číst a říkala jsem si, že bych si dala něco milého, odpočinkového a hlavně něco u čeho se pobavím a myslím, že všechny tyhle kategorie Pan romantik splnil na výbornou. Do knihy jsem se začetla velmi rychle a už jsem se neodtrhla (do dvou do rána). Prostě se nedala odložit a já byla nadšená. Jedná se doopravdy o velmi příjemnou romantiku, která má neobvyklou zápletku, když Pan romantik poskytuje dokonalá rande ženám. Obě dvě postavy jsem si velmi rychle oblíbila. Eden byla skvělá a strašně jsem si užívala hlášky a komentáře její sestry i babičky - byly taková správná trojka. Eden byla správně skeptická a velmi mi sedlo i vysvětlení, proč tomu tak bylo. No a co říct více o Panu romantikovi? Že mě doopravdy bavil a bavilo mě i jeho fungování. Knize nechyběl ani správný zvrat a musím říct, že mi zatrnulo a i jsem si lehce pobrečela. Happyend asi nikoho nepřekvapí. Celkově knihu hodnotím velmi pozitivně, je to skvělé napsaná romantika, která vás doopravdy pohladí po duši. Rozhodně mohu doporučit všem, kteří vyhledávají romantické knihy a nechtějí úplně přeslazenou blbost a chtějí si u knihy dobře odpočinout. Samozřejmě se těším na další díly této série 😊 ⭐ 4.5/5 ❓ Šli byste na dokonale rande s neznámým člověkem? Die Geschichte wird aus der Ich-Perspektive abwechselnd von Alice und Tristan erzählt und reißt einen von Anfang mit. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Die erste Panikattacke von Tristan war sehr plastisch und realistisch mit so viel Gefühlen dargestellt, dass ich selbst das Empfinden hatte, diese Attacke gleichzeitig mitzuerleben und zu leiden wie Tristan. Wirklich sehr gefühlvoll und nachvollziehbar. Aber auch wie Sarah Saxx auf die Sichtweise von Alice und ihrem Sprachfehler eingeht. Welche Kämpfe, Ängste, Selbstzweifel sie durchgestanden hat und teilweise immer noch durchsteht. Es ist eine sehr bewegende Geschichte von Alice und Tristan und trotz das beide ihre Kämpfe haben, empfand ich Alice etwas stärker als Tristan. Sie hat zunächst zu Anfang unbewusst um ihn gekämpft, den Mut aufgebracht, ihn anzusprechen oder bei einer prekären Situation beizustehen. Als dann die Musik beide verband, hat sie deutlicher um ihn gekämpft. Gekämpft für das starke Gefühl der Liebe. Beide haben sich den Halt gegeben, den der andere gebraucht hat. Definitely one of my favourite star wars books and a solid 5/5. I loved how Obi-Wan and Anakin's relationship was explored and it was nice to see how they viewed the change in their dynamic after Anakin was knighted. I thought this book did a great job of pulling together so much material and it interacts nicely with the Clone Wars and other books. A special shout out to how Brotherhood handled Anakin's relationship with sand. Kniha sleduje jednu rodinu a její osudy od doby před válkou až po důsledky holocaustu. Zaměřuje se na vztahy rodinné i přátelské, uvědomění si situacích a jejich dopad na jednotlivé členy. Celý příběh je jako ohromná skládačka, takže postupně odhalujete důsledky všech rozhodnutí, která kdy padla. A budete velmi překvapeni, jak i naprostá drobnost dokáže změnit běh událostí. Často si budete klást otázky, zda by to mohlo dopadnout jinak. Kniha je velmi náročná na čtení a obsahuje doopravdy silný příběh a najdete zde několik myšlenek z kterých vás bude mrazit. Rozhodně to není lehké čtení, ale myslím, že vykresluje naprosto dokonale dobu a i ten, který ji nezažil si dokáže představit hrůzy tehdejší doby. Za sebe mohu tento příběh jen a jen doporučit a rozhodně se nebojím říct, že by si kniha zasloužila zařadit do povinné četby, protože je skvěle napsaná a snadno pochopitelná. 🍹 Stínová královna 🍹 Autor: C. J. Redwine 🍹 Žánr: fantasy, YA, retelling 🍹 Série: Havraní říše 🍹 Díl: První 🍹 Počet stránek: 360 🍹 Čteno: kniha (srpen 2022) 📚 Knihu jsem četla ve štafetě u @booklover_maya a chtěla bych ji za uspořádání štafety velmi poděkovat. Musím přiznat, že pár retellingů už skončilo na seznamu přečtených knih a žádný z nich mě tak moc nenudil jako tento. Kdo by se nikdy nesetkal s retellingem, tak se jedná o převyprávění známého příběhu po svém. Vždycky jsem velmi zvědavá, jak autor uchopí myšlenku a čím mě zaujme, ale tady to za mě prostě nefungovalo. Nejprve bych chtěla velmi pochválit obálku, která mě zaujala a kniha mě díky ní přitahovala. Celková myšlenka nebyla až tak špatná a oceňuji směr, kterým se autorka vydala, jen bych řekla, že bohužel to špatně uchopila a pravděpodobně se do toho trochu zamotala. Velmi zajímavá myšlenka je, že magii neoplývá jen "Zlá královna", ale i samotná "Sněhurka" a myslím, že zrovna tato část by stála za větší rozvinutí. Z postav (pokud se tomu tak dá říkat 😀) jsem si asi nejvíce oblíbila rarocha Sašu, která měla velmi vtipné myšlenky a tenhle společník Lori vás vždy donutil k úsměvu (a jak ochotná byla podělit se o myši 😀). Lori i Kol byly rozhodně zajímavé charaktery, trochu jako oheň a voda, ale přesto měli hodně společného a jejich odvaha pro království neznala hranic. Ráda bych vám tu řekla ještě něco pozitivního, ale bohužel mě to nenapadá. První polovina knihy (a myslím, že se to zlomilo až jaký kus za půlkou) se četla ohromně pomalu, nic se tam nedělo, děj se opakoval a mě to strašně moc nudilo. Bylo to k uzoufání, vážně nekecám. A po tom, co se v podstatě 2/3 knihy vlekly, tak nám autorka dala velmi rychlý a nečekaný konec, který ani neměl patřičnou gradaci a nebo wow efekt. Autorka nám sem dala plno věcí a mě to přišlo až zbytečně překombinované skoro bych řekla až (Mám pro to speciální slovo a všichni prosím prominou) přepí*ený! Happy Pub Day!! Thank you @_mira_books_ @harlequinbooks for my free review copy. I actually thought going into this one that it would be a light and humorous story. There are quite a few funny moments but this one was more serious than I thought. The premise of the story is that Laurel wishes her husband of many years was dead. She is practically a full time servant to him while holding down a full time job so it’s easy to see why she is fed up. The secondary characters were eccentric and fun. It was great to see the progression and growth in Laurel’s character. I liked the little twists and overall this was an interesting book that really came together so well in the end. This is a romcom that is a fast and light read. One problem I had with this book was that so many of their character names were abbreviations. V, Rae, Van, Kez! In the beginning you had to learn their real name and their abbreviated name and it was confusing at first. I also thought some of the dialogue between the characters was immature for their age. Overall the book was ok but there are better romcoms out there. Are you trying to squeeze in any books before the end of the month? Did you have a good weekend?

Den var bra, jag skulle vilja säga väldigt bra men jag har inte hämtat mig från frustrationen som huvudpersonen Eva och hennes syskon väckte hos mig. Men det är bra! Personporträtt som väcker ärliga känslor är svåra och den här boken gör det helt igenom. Till och med de bikaraktärer som är med lite på ett hörn hinner få djup och personligheter. Inte en mys-feelgood men väl en god bok om syskon, livet och vikten av att förlåta och gå vidare. It was good, I would like to say very good, but I have not recovered from the frustration that the main character Eva and her siblings caused in me. But it is good! Portraiture that evokes honest emotion is difficult, and this book does it right through. Even the supporting characters who are a bit on the corner manage to get depth and personalities. Not a cozy feel-good book, but a good book about siblings, life and the importance of forgiving and moving on. 🍹 Smrt a další šťastné konce 🍹 Autor: Melanie Cantor 🍹 Žánr: contemporary 🍹 Počet stránek: 352 🍹 Čteno: kniha (srpen 2022) 📚 Knihu jsem četla v rámci štafety u Žanetky @utek_z_reality_ctenim a moc bych jí chtěla poděkovat za možnost přečíst si tento originální příběh. Sama ani pořádně nevím, kde začít. Po dlouhé době se mi stalo, že jsem měla naprosto rozporuplné pocity v průběhu čtení. Kdybych měla hodnotit první polovinu knihy, tak by se velmi těžko dostala přes 2 hvězdičky. Doopravdy jsem byla z knihy velmi zoufalá a vůbec jsem nevěděla, co si o tom všem mám myslet. Abych vám to nějak stručně přiblížila, tak hlavní hrdinka Jennifer zjistí, že ji zbývají tři měsíce života a rozhodne se napsat dopisy. Za mě velmi nepochopitelně napíše třem lidem, kteří ji v průběhu let několikrát a mnohdy velmi hluboce ublížili. Člověk by i chápal, že nechce mít zlou krev a všem zúčastněným chce odpustit. I když mě to hlava nebere, snažila jsem se do Jennifer vcítit a pochopit to. Jenže pak přišel za mě další šok, který jsem naprosto nechápala a neschvalovala. Všechny tři si bez velkých problémů a moc jednoduše pustí do svého života zpátky. Začíná koloběh událostí a vy je s napětím sledujete a říkáte si, co sakra bude dál. V první polovině knihy mi hlavní hrdinka vůbec k srdci nepřirostla. I přesto, že by se mohlo zdát, že mě půlka zdeptala a knihu odložím, tak se nestalo. Ohromný bonus totiž přikládám čtivosti. V půlce knihy se stane docela velký a zásadní zvrat, který vám zde nebudu prozrazovat, protože by to byl opravdu brutální spoiler. Musím přiznat, že jsem to tak nějak očekávala a furt jsem si říkala, že to nemůže být pravda. Bohužel byla a mě to v té chvíli docela i zklamalo. Jenže přesně po téhle události kniha dostala zajímavý spád a naše hlavní hrdinka konečně našla koule, a to už byla doopravdy jízda. To, co si pro nás autorka připravila bylo něco skvělého, dokonalého, a tak trochu i emoční jízda. Upřímně jsem se fakt bála, že to bude další kniha, u které budu litovat, že jsem ji četla. When Mia gets an opportunity to return to school she realizes there is no way she can do it because she needs her job’s medical insurance. Mia has a kidney disease and is waiting for a transplant. Noah suggests that they should enter a fake marriage and she can be on his insurance plan. But - once they do this do they both want the marriage to be fake? I loved their relationship and their dialogue and banter. The story is well written and is a perfect romance book for summer reading! How has your summer reading gone? What are you currently reading?

🍹 Já a Ty, navždy 🍹 Autor: Jo Watson 🍹 Žánr: contemporary 🍹 Počet stránek: 416 🍹 Čteno: e-kniha (srpen 2022) 📚 Děkuji holkám @tera_cte a @dam.si.knihu za uspořádání společného čtení 💙 Takhle kniha mi přišla strašně moc vhod a pokud hledate skvělý a odpočinkový čtení na léto, tak rozhodně sáhněte po této knize. Druhý bonus je možnost zařazení knihy do výzvy od Databáze knih 🙂 Jednalo se o moje první setkání s autorkou a rozhodně musím říct, že nebude poslední. Kniha se velmi dobře četla a děj krásně ubíhal. Všechno bylo popsáno velmi hezky, lehce a hlavně s pořádnou dávkou humoru. /"Kdyby mi při každé lži měly vyrůst zuby podobně jako Pinocchiovi nos, měla bych na konci tohohle dobrodružství obrovské tesáky, kvůli kterým bych tu pusu až do smrti nezavřela."/ Hlavní hrdinka je střela a občas si budete říkat, že přece není možný, aby byla ještě blaznivější, ale opak je pravdou. Přiřítí se jako velká vlna a nenechá kámen na kameni a v malém městečku jsou škody hodně znát. Naopak Mike byl úplně něco jiného, protože to byl takový kliďas, který se snažil svůj život žít, co nejspořádaněji to šlo. I pro něj byla Becca velký šok! 😃 Strašně moc se mi líbilo provázání s historií a ty dopisy? Nádhera! Velmi kouzelné a procítěné a nutily vás číst dál, abyste se dozvěděli, jak celý příběh dopadne. Oceňuji i vývoj hlavní hrdinky, která v průběhu příběhu krásně dospěla a došli ji věci, kterým předtím nepřikládala velkou váhu. Gradace děje byla skvělá a strašně moc se mi líbil záběr obou linek. Rozuzlení příběhu Abeho a Edith mě naprosto dostalo a rozbrečelo, protože to bylo něco úžasného a při tom vás přímo napadne pravá, opravdová a hluboká láska. /„Jestli někdy potkáte někoho, koho budete doopravdy milovat, nikdy ho nenechte odejít. Ať se děje, co se děje,“ řekl Abe. „Bojujte za to. Bojujte ze všech sil. My se o to pokusili, i když bitva byla předem prohraná.
