Ini ceritaku; nekat daftar Half Marathon di Desember 2023 dengan bekal 4 bulan ‘hobi’ lari dan belum bisa lari stabil strong diatas 10k. Tapi nekat itu buat aku bertekad. Perlahan tambah mileage mingguan. Long run bertingkat 10 13 15 18 20, meskipun 🐌 Belum punya coach jadi belajar semua sendiri, menyerap ilmu dari senior senior dan yg berpengalaman. Nonton youtube, drills, fueling, form, mindset, mentality dan sampai ke strategy. Tak lupa, support system yang solid pol🔥 5am squad, mas mba bro sis @bross_runner dan geng lari apa namanya💗 Tentunya kesabaran kamu menghadapi aku yang kadang pagi udah gak ada, malam juga pulang malam @audiksa.tafarel 🫶🏻 Gak nyangka, 8 bulan mendalami hobi ini, bisa lari stabil dan strong sepanjang 21.1km. I have no idea who will see this (maybe just me!) but that ticks my accountability box 🙌🏻 I’m Charlie, a 40 something mum of 3 and I love to run. I ran a lot before kids (snuck in the @londonmarathon when I was 5 months pregnant with my eldest back in 2011 which is still one of my proudest moments) I loved racing with my old club @dulwichrunners and was always seeking the next challenge and pb. A decade on things are pretty different. Time, juggling 3 jobs, fitness and injury, self belief… But I am still driven, maybe more. And after doubting I could ever run fast again I’ve got the racing itch 🫣 I’ve got a target in mind that is possibly mad/impossible. Aruba International Boulevard 10 KM Race 🏃♀️💨 The race I was looking forward to, but my health wasn't cooperating. 😷 During and after racing in the Development Triathlon Cup in Puerto Rico, I started feeling flu-like symptoms. Despite resting the whole week to recover, my body still wasn't at its best. I doubted myself a few minutes before the race – should I or shouldn't I? But as the race started, I decided to go with the flow, and I'm so glad I did. 🙌 I finished the 10 KM in 42:39, and I couldn't be happier with what my body and mind achieved. Second place overall and winning some cash – not bad at all. 💰 Huge thanks to the organizers and volunteers who made this race possible, and to all the amazing people cheering along the road. Special shoutout to Grandma and Grandpa for being there at the finish line, and to my coaches for their support and guidance. 🥇 Thank you, Patrishi Sports, for the honorary BIB number 1. 🏅 Congratulations to Lana on her overall win and reclaiming the leader jersey! 🎉 Also, big congratulations to Jouraima for securing 3rd place overall in the race. 🥳 Keep shining, ladies. Zurich Rock’n’roll Madrid 21k 🎸 Después de las dos semanitas a base de antibióticos 💊 y gastroenteritis 🦠🤮, se hizo, ¡y cómo se hizo! 🤗 Empecé muy suave, me sentí bastante bien, apretamos un poquito y mantuvimos💪🏼 Y me gustaría hacer especial mención a mi reconciliación con el asfalto. Dejé de correr hace un par de años, empecé Crossfit, y volví poco a poco al cabo de seis meses probando el trail también ⛰️ y me encantó. No dejé de lado el asfalto, pero seguía sintiendo que me machacaba mucho mentalmente 🧠, hasta que empecé a entrenarlo bien con un entrenador, @javi_zambra . 28.04.2024 р. - «Активні парки» - м. Кременчук🇺🇦🏃🏼♀️🇺🇦 Це була одна із найпотужніших моїх десяток. Десятка у рідному місті🫶 Непроста траса (4 кола)🔁 та розбитий асфальт зробили свій «внесок»🤔. Але я задоволена результатом і часовим показником. Секунди мають значення👌. Для мене змагання-це завжди свято, яке я чекаю з нетерпінням. Сьогодні фінішувала першою 🥇 серед жінок. Контроль виконала✔️ Дякую @aktyvni_parky за організацію, все було чудово🫶. Деяким кременчуцьким «організаторам» потрібно повчитися і подивитися як проводяться змагання🤔 Дякую кожному, хто підтримував на дистанції. ✨3:35:58✨ After 3 years, I’ve finally entered the sub 3:40 club 🎉 Even though this race didn’t go exactly how I wanted it to, I still have so much to be proud of. I shaved 7 minutes off my previous PR and 9 minutes off my time from NYC only 5 month ago. I learned a lot during this race and this training cycle, and I’m excited to see where this knowledge will take me in the next one. As always, thank you to my husband for all the support and encouragement you always give me. Mile 18 wrecked me, and I don’t think I would’ve made it in the time I did without you. Also a huge thanks to the many people who encourage and support me in my running journey. Thank you for hyping me up and reminding me that even though it wasn’t the outcome I wanted, this was a huge accomplishment that I should feel proud of. I truly am truly so grateful for my village. Off to the next one. Chicago better be ready for my Boston Qualifying debut. Oh, and I placed in my age group—a first in a marathon for me. Último longo deste ciclo incrível💛, não poderia ser diferente, tinha que ser especial 💛… . Dia de correr a Seven Run da @iguanasports na distância de 28km , prova com distância estratégica para quem está no ciclo de maratona🎯, toppp demais a organização da prova e com um percurso sensacional 🎉🎉fiz 28km e + 8km , completando 36km do meu longo que foi surreal 🎉🎉🙏… . Deu RP nos 28km🎉🎉com direito ao 3🏅lugar da minha categoria, 14 no geral, fiz exatamente o que tinha planejado de ritmo, confesso que muitas vezes durante a prova me empolgava e logo voltava para a proposta, longa distância é não fugir nada do ritmo, assim é impossível não dar bom👊 . Terminei a corrida e emendei nos 8km restantes para totalizar os 36km deste ciclo cheio de aprendizado 👊 fechando abaixo de 3horas🎉🎉então estou ansiosa pra esta maratona 👊 . Half marathon ☑️🏃🏼♀️ So happy with my time 2:08 and can genuinely say I enjoyed every minute of the run 🥰 I prepared to run this last year and ended up in hospital for a week with my ulcerative colitis and too ill to run for months 🥲 I got back into running in December with 5k’s and signed up to the half in January with just 12 weeks til the race! Fortsetzung… … keine Wiederholung war es für mich. Es war die Fortsetzung meiner Reise, auf dem Weg meine Ziele zu Erreichen. Freitag Abend bin ich meinen 2. Halbmarathon gelaufen, die Strecke war unglaublich schön und das Wetter hätte nicht besser sein können. Ich hatte mir nichts vorgenommen, wollte einfach so laufen wie es sich ergibt von meinem Gefühl. Und so bin ich selbst total überrascht von mir, nach 1:50:13 über die Ziellinie gelaufen 💪😍 Ich/Wir habe/n seit diese Reise begonnen hat, so viel mitgenommen und bemerkt was der Körper doch alles wahnsinniges leisten kann 😍 Auch wenn sich unsere (sportliche) Reise aktuell trennt, freut sich jede von uns mit der anderen gemeinsam über die erreichten Ziele.
