As many job titles as Ive held, there's one thing I will always be. A Human Performance Coach. Most people would just say a trainer or a coach... make it fancy - Master Trainer, Level 2 Coach... for me - I prefer Human Performance Coach cause my motto has always been "whatever you're doing in life, I help you do it better." I take that title and motto seriously. Whether its as simple as making my clients laugh during a training session, helping them come up with a spark for their next big idea, listening to their) work days and as intricate as activating a sleeping gluteus maximus to not triggering the IT band to taking the sciatica pain away I will guarantee my clients alwats feel better after our training session. Today was no different. Sound on as Dr. Mindy and I go thru some difficult core exercises but her resilience and positive attitude (cussing me or the camera out is just the German in here lol) always carries us thru a succesful workout. #VolumeUp - Theres some gems in there for sure including what she takes to help her POWER thru her workouts. I could have edited this footage but I love RAW footages. I like seeing the struggles and the ups within the workout. Every failed attempt here is just tucked in under experience. Day off work today, as my Fur baby has her routine heart scan today (she has a poorly heart sadly). So I took the day off work so I could take and collect her from the Vets. 😬 * Back on my mat this morning, choosing a 30 minute Pilates session from wonderful @diti22 ❤️🤸🏻‍♀️ • Just home from the vets collecting, Indy went in for her heart check up at 8.45am, collecting her was due to be at 4.30pm & Just home 🏠 absolutely exhausted 😴 lots of sobbing 😭 poor staff. 🫣 Indy’s heart scan is all good, they’re very happy with her. Don’t need to go back for 9 months about heart ♥️ Liver enzymes up slightly more than last time (& they where raised last time) so keep an eye on her, as could be liver disease or something else, they said to come back in 4-6 months about that. I’m exhausted. Swipe for drills, scroll for explanations! Handstand push ups are such a great movement for strength, skill, stability and coordination. And to be able to perform them successfully, you need more that just chucking yourself at the wall and hoping for the best. 1. Superman hold - an essential shape which is needed at the top of the push. 2. Headstand hold - get familiar with the bottom position! 3. Heels to wall handstand hold - Replicate the superman position upside down so you know what shape to find at the top. 4. Single leg bunny hops - Work on the kick up so you have success every single time rather than wasting energy on failed kick ups mid workout. This is what worked for Shelby because I knew and understood her strengths and weaknesses. There's a lot more to it than just 4 drills but I hope that helps those of you who are looking to progress and also gives you an insight into why personalised and specialised programming shouldn't be overlooked. Time and time again, I talk to people who have tried group programmes and whilst they may work for some, there's nothing that beats knowing your client and what will work best for them! After my first session back at physio yesterday, I spent most of the night tossing & turning with renewed pain & discomfort. As sleep was not an option, I got up at 4.15am to start my workout. After 12 minutes on the bike to warm up & loosen the knee, I completed my ab session, threw in some essential knee exercises & completed another 12 minutes on the bike to keep the knee moving. No, I did not go for my 30 united walk, I will factor that into my day as I feel an ice pack is definitely in order this morning! #dailyfitness #corework #kneemobilityexercises #keepingmobilityandfunction

117 Days until the Multisports 🌎 Championships Training Day: 2 - Tempo 🚴 - 15min core strength Working on improving aerobic capacity while focusing on a high cadence which averaged out to be 97rpm. I know the 🔑 to producing power on the 🚲 will come down to my ability to produce a high cadence more so than force on the pedal. Especially given the troubles I been having with🦵+ 🍑. Therefore, I’m stoked with tonight rpm. Beginner Core Workout! If you struggle with building a stronger core, try starting with these exercises. The key is core engagement. You MUST engage your core through each exercise to start building a stronger core. Practice makes improvement! Be sure to breathe through your diaphragm, pull your belly button towards your spine, zip up your core and close ribs cage, and brace your abs as if someone was about to punch you in the stomach. You CAN build a stronger core at any age! Add these exercises to your schedule 3-4 days per week.
