Book Review✨ Once Upon A Broken Heart & The Ballad Of Never After by @stephanie_garber 🏹 4⭐️ Wow I quite literally become obsessed the minute I started reading and now I’ve read two books in the space of 3 days🤣 This was such a magical world to be in, once I started reading it didn’t feel like I was reading anymore it was so easy to read❤️ I think the stories within the story was so interesting and I can’t wait to see what happens next, I’m obsessed, obviously now I need all the special editions and different copies 🤷🏻♀️ I feel like it’s been left in such an interesting place that I can’t wait to see how it’s all figured out!! Naked Hardbacks🫶🏻 Throwback to 9 months ago when I stated I hated hardbacks and I can’t read them and blah blah blah🤣now I’ve well and truly changed my tune! Give me all the hardbacks, give me the exclusives & and sign me up for all the special hardback editions subscriptions, I’m obsessed🤣 The top 4 are all Afterlight exclusives, this subscription is for romances and the books are so cute!! 💙Forget Me Not, I’ve done a full in depth post on this book, I’m obsessed with it, I actually signed up for Afterlight the month after this was released so I ended up buying it off vinted! 🩶At First Spite, I haven’t read this one yet but this is quite possibly the prettiest book I own, the edges are sprayed with strawberries😍🍓 💛Cleat Cute, another I haven’t read and I probably won’t, so this will probably end up on my vinted soon 🤣 💚Fangirl Down, I can’t wait to read this one!! I absolutely have loved every book I’ve read of Kandi’s so far, and this was her first single dad book and it was 👌 Now time to get to my thoughts: We was introduced to Daddy P in book 1 and all we really knew was that he was a single dad, grumpy and had great hair! At the end of book 2, his story started by being let down by another nanny - we also get introduced to Chloe aka the female main character and also is Ava’s teacher at school. Their book first chapter is literally the last chapter of the previous book so it’s kind of a nice little refresher / easing you into their story. I do enjoy a single dad x nanny book and this one was great. As not only was there the spicy lessons and Will teaching Chloe some things 😉 Chloe also returned with different kind of lessons on how to talk about Ava’s mum and doing activities that she used to do! Speaking of the spicy lessons, they don’t kiss till 82% in so I guess it could be half a slow burn/ mutual pining with benefits? My top favourite parts of the book: - I absolutely loved all the parts with the chef and Will’s uncle - they need their spin off book or even a novella! - After the slight break up, Will’s speech to Chloe in front of her mum and nan - Taking their first family selfie, and Will feeling another smile in the room(from heaven) had me feeling emosh - Catching up with all the other girls, and being mentioned a lot! Also, I absolutely loved the bonus epilogue scenes. Book Review✨ Wild Love by @authorelsiesilver 🩷 4⭐️ 2🌶️ It was so good to be back in Elsie Silvers world. I really liked this book, it was a bit slower in the beginning but I felt that way with flawless but by 20% in I was loving life and wishing for my very own Ford😍 I really liked the family dynamic in this it was really sweet, Cora was a super fun addition. I have my theories about the next couple of books so I have a feeling we will be seeing more of Cora’s mum! The bowling was hilarious I don’t know why I found it so funny again I have a feeling the other books are gonna be based off the bowling dads so can’t wait to see more of that! I loved that we got to see Willa, I wish we could have had a scene with Cade as well but it was still a nice bridge for both series! I can’t wait for West’s book! I feel like I must be missing something... 👀 Inked by Rachel Rener literally has all the building blocks of a "perfect for me" book, and yet it fell pretty flat. There's tattoos, a hot fae boss, cheeky animals, crazed romps through magical lands, and more fantastical creatures than you can shake a stick at. And yet. I was bored. I was annoyed frequently. I was skimming. 😬 My two main struggles were Talia and then her mom. Talia was pretty much TSTL the entire time. I get not knowing things and being ignorant of the dangers, but she willfully ignored advice and orders multiple times and CONSTANTLY fvçkèd things up. And her mom? Oh boy. The Jewish mom stereotype was a little too thick, guys. I physically cringed when Talia would have phone calls with her mom. It made me feel stressed and upset instead of laughing. Eventually, I skipped any convo between them. 🤷🏽♀️ Biscuit/Hibiscus was the star of this book. He's(she's?) ridiculously cute, and I found myself smiling and laughing just for the damn parrot. I think the only parts I tabbed were also parrot related lol. Biscuit's owner was pretty enjoyable, too, but Zayn was just kind of there. I'd rather read about him than Talia, but that's not saying much. I can't decide if I'm going to bother with the next book in the series. I kind of want to see if it gets better, but I also have so many other books to read that I could enjoy more. We'll see. 🖤 Have you guys read this book? Sci-fi | Queer Rep | Graphic Novel 📓 This series is A•M•A•Z•I•N•G! Paper Girls is a series of comics that follows a group of girls on their paper route as they discover a strange machine in the basement of an abandoned house. Because of this discovery, they’re pulled into a war between people throughout time. This story is well thought out and entertaining the whole way through. I gave each of these books individual ratings and they were all either 4, 4.5, or 5 stars. All of the main characters were lovable and all of them were perfect representations of strong people. It’s clear that there was a lot of dedication and time put into this series. The pictures kept up a consistent style and colour palette—I always appreciate attention to detail and this series had that. This is something I feel all women and young girls can relate to. I wish I had picked this up earlier in life. 🌈 RAINBOW BOOKS CHALLENGE 🌈 I was tagged in the Rainbow Challenge by the wonderful @littlebookkeeper the other day and she gave me purple! Now purple is my favourite colour but I don’t seem to have many purple books, as you can probably tell by how I’ve had to scour my shelves to find some and come out with Watership Down and the Princess Diaries! 😅 My favourite purple book though obviously has to be my special edition of “All I Know Now” by @carriehopefletcher .
