I’m so glad I said yes, this was such a fun book with so many of my favorite tropes! Second chance romance, boy next door, fake dating, grumpy sunshine, so much swooning! Eve and Fraser are so adorable together, their families are perfection, and their history is fraught with complications. I really enjoyed seeing them push through their struggles, work through all the craziness, and come out on the other side. Re-read: Call Me By Your Name After going to Rome, it was essential to give this book another spin. I thought about Elio loving Rome the entire time I was there. My signed copy of this book was becoming so well-loved that I got a hardback for re-reading to keep my copy safe: that’s how much I love this book. I love it so much, I was almost tempted to re-read Find Me again to see if my dislike of it is fair or just a matter of mismatched expectations.

Rating: ⭐️ Why Read: It has very good messages, funny characters, and overall just an entertaining plot. This book is a hot mess. The timeline from chapter to chapter is chaotic, there are no real character development arcs, there isn’t actually a plot either, and the ending is random and abrupt. The characters feel like cardboard cutouts and I didn’t care what happened to them after a while. It’s just not well written. I honestly don’t know why this book is so popular. 📚Windy City Series - Liz ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This series is seriously up there being one of my favourite series ever. Starting with Mile High I was instantly hooked, the insecurities shown in this book are so real & were written in a way that genuinely felt so right. It then moved on to The Right Move which was pure perfection and that’s all I need to say. I was influenced to read/listen to this one. There are so many positive reviews on this one. I can agree it was a good, historical story, but I also expected a bit more. Or maybe less depending on how you look at it. The characters time in Vietnam, while vital to the storyline, was too long for me. Her time after Vietnam was more interesting for me to listen to. While the first part was interesting to learn and hear about, it was just too long. I have a new appreciation for historical fiction, so this an author I will continue reading to get the historical fix. The writing was well done and the research was clearly done. This was a 4 star read for me, merely because I got bored a few times in the first half of the storyline. I listened on @audible. The narrator did a great job. Ok… I can understand the hype. I am not typically a fantasy girl, but I really did enjoy this to the point where I read it in less than 2 days. I enjoyed the story line. The characters have moments of annoyance, but it didn’t ruin the storyline for me. This was very hunger games and beauty & the beast for me. To clarify, the hunger games aspect was not the reaping part but more so the story and character development of Katniss. The storyline is intriguing and paced appropriately. A few changes. I’ve had a couple of weeks off the socials recently. Firstly, because it’s good to take a break and secondly because I haven’t been knitting much. When I first started this account it was to have a place to document my progress learning to knit and to find like minded friends. Three years ago, crochet and knitting were my only real hobbies. But since then, I’ve rediscovered my love for reading and I’m now spending as much time doing that as i am crafting and creating. In fact I’m reading as much as I did as a teenager at the moment! I’m never going to have a very big following in either arena - and that’s not really the point anyway is it. Whilst likes and followers are great, it’s the relationships and the memories that are important. So I hope you don’t mind, but we’ve had a little account name change and I’ll be posting some bookish content along with the knitting. If it’s not your thing, I completely get that, but I’d like this space to reflect the things I love and take time in. Anche questa storia è ambientata in Abruzzo, sua terra d'origine, della quale racconta pregi e difetti senza filtri. I protagonisti non sono sempre perfetti, ma proprio per questo non si può non empatizzare con loro. La vicenda è narrata in prima persona da Agnese, alle prese con un padre burbero, con una figlia rientrata al paese dopo aver subito una aggressione nella città in cui era andata a studiare, con la donazione di un terreno con cui non vorrebbe avere a che fare in quanto teatro di una violenza subita dalla sua migliore amica diversi anni prima. Quest'ultimo episodio trae ispirazione da una vicenda realmente accaduta sulla Maiella negli anni Novanta in cui, come nel romanzo, due ragazze furono rinvenute prive di vita ed una sola riuscì a scappare. Sem dúvida este foi um dos livros mais complexos que li nos últimos tempos. Por vezes dou por mim a pensar, andaste 5 anos a estudar engenharia electrotécnica e de computadores , e não utilizas praticamente nada da Física e Matemática que aprendeste. Pois, eu acredito que tirei esse curso, para conseguir entender minimamente este livro xD. O problema dos três corpos é um sci-fi que não vai agradar a todos, apesar da sinopse e a premissa cativar a grande maioria, a forma como é feito com bastantes termos científicos pode ser maçador ou confuso para quem não gosta dessas matérias, mas que até gosta do género. O livro passa-se todo numa China que se encontra em uma revolução cultural, e uma cientista envia uns sinais para o Espaço, para tentar se comunicar com extraterrestres que nos venham ajudar a governar este mundo, porque tal como muitos de nós, a crença nos seres humanos já vai para lá de Fátima. Esse envio vai trazer algumas consequências, tais como, pessoas a ver na sua retina um temporizador com uma contagem descendente, que não se sabe bem o porquê. Vamos entendendo aos poucos alguns mistérios e background de personagens com alguns saltos temporais. Confesso que estava com medo antes de ler o livro, de ser demasiado burro para ele, mas até fui entendendo as coisas, até porque como disse incialmente, o meu background universitário tocou em alguns dos assuntos. Não é uma leitura rápida, mas eu pelo menos senti-me viciado em saber mais. Quero muito brevemente ler os restantes, antes que esta cabeça de Dory, esqueça tudo o que se passou. Wow! What an amazing book 😮 Burial Rites by Hannah Kent follows the story of Agnes who has been accused of murder and sentenced to death in Iceland in the first half of the 19th century. Although this is fiction, it is based on a true story and it is very clear just how much research has gone into this book. It is a book that will draw you in, the storytelling is magnificent and the characters vibrant. This is another first time to me author who i discovered through @zooloosbooktours and im really glad I did! Although I haven't read the boxer boys series, I still found myself fully enthralled in the story line of this book! The female lead has some great characters growth throughout the book and the 70s vibe is fabulous. A brilliant 4 star read.

📓BOOK REVIEW📓 “We turn memories into stories, and if we don’t, we lose them. If the stories are gone, then the people are gone too.” It’s the second book by Amy Harmon that I’ve read so far. The first one was “Where The Lost Wander” and I loved it! So it’s no surprise that I loved this one too! It’s historical fiction and most of the book is set in Ireland in 1921, but there is also a present-day timeline. I love historical fiction, but I must say it’s hard to find a book which is not set during or around WWII, so whenever I see HF and it’s not WWII I grab it! I loved this book, it gave me a chance to learn more about Ireland’s history and their fight for independence and follow the lives of several families during those times. I love Harmon’s writing style and the careful touch she has describing people’s emotions. The characters were very well-written and you couldn’t help sympathizing with them and rooting for them. There were a lot of events happening, which I always appreciated in the book. This book kept me on my toes and made me want to read more and more until I knew what happened, I must say not even, many thrillers have this effect on me. I would definitely recommend this book to all historical fiction lovers and not only! “We keep the people we love in our hearts.
