📚 REVIEW 📚 Book - Misery Author - Stephen King Genre - Thriller Rating- 3.5 ⭐️ Format - Physical @fully_booked_book_club book club pick this month! As always, Stephen King's character building is second to none. He has the capability of captivating the reader who will no doubt fall down the misery wormhole. The book started off really well, and I was engrossed. However, as the story went on, I started to lose interest. If you've read King's books before, you'll know the man loves his words. Misery is no different. It's a really good thriller with some disturbing parts throughout. Definitely not for the faint-hearted! #bookreviews #newbookreview #lovereading #psychologicalthriller #thrillerbooks #thrillerlover #allthingsbookish #bookstalove #bookstauk #readersofinsta #readingcommunity #igreaders #booksofinstagram #thrillerbooksaddict #readersofinstagram

@robertbryndza did it again! #spannendeboekentip #thrillerwereld #robertbryndza #uitgeverijboekerij #erikafoster #lekkerlezen #thrillerlover #elkedaglezen #thrilleraddict #thrillerbookstagram #boekverslaafd #ikhouvanlezen #boekstagramnl #gekopboeken #boekenplank #boekenkast #spannendeserie

. . #scrittoriitaliani #thriller #thrillerbooks #indaginineltempo #cesaremassaini #leggerefabene #leggeresempre #letturaconsigliata #letturaleggera #letture2024 #ebook #ebookmania #ebookstagram #ebookamazon #ebooklover #thrillermania #thrillerlover

💀💀💀 6️⃣9️⃣ The Marriage Act - John Marrs Pub Date - 02.05.23 Date Read - 28.04.24 Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ -- Swipe for synopsis -- The concepts of each of these books has been so interesting, and very frightening. AI has become a huge part of the world we currently live in, and reading these books really makes you wonder just how far it will be taken. How much free will we will be left with, how much we would be recorded. It's a truly scary thought and like the previous three, this one really shows you just what could go wrong. Yet another great book from John Marrs. While it wasn't a favourite, I really enjoyed it and I can't wait to start the next one. #qotd: In a world where married couples signed up to Smart Marriage get benefits such as better health care, less tax to pay, bigger homes, better jobs, better schools for their children; would you sign up knowing that this meant you would be recorded and judged based on those recordings? Knowing that should the AI not be happy with what it's hearing, that you would be recorded at all times and could potentially be forced to divorce? OR How do you feel about AI? #themarriageact #johnmarrs @johnmarrs.author #goodreadschallenge #goodreads #thrillerbooklovers #bookaddicts #readingaddict #fortheloveofreading #readingtime #bookstagram #booksofinsta #instareading #booksonbooks #booksaremylife #bookstagramcommunity #horrorbooks #thrillerlover #horrorbookstagram #thrillerbookstagram #spookyreads #bookstagramuk #UKbookstagrammers #ukbookstagram #bookstagrammeruk🇬🇧

How are you spending your Sunday? I love going into a book blind- no idea of plot or what to expect from a new to me author - everything is brand new and that was the case here. Per the publisher- 🌊Hazel wants a new life. She’s thirty years old, single, and her private investigation business is months away from folding. Her luck takes a turn when Madeline Hemsley, a mysterious socialite, pays Hazel a visit with an offer too enticing to resist. An orphan girl has disappeared from a children’s home—The Orphanage By The Lake, as the locals call it—and Madeline wants Hazel to find her. At first glance, it appears to be a standard runaway case, but as Hazel plunges into the investigation, she finds signs of something more: unexplained blood stains, cryptic symbols, sinister figures shadowing her every move. The more she digs, the more she realizes that The Orphanage By The Lake holds terrifying secrets, and even worse….🌊 I enjoyed this thriller. It was fast paced and had an original and interesting plot. The protagonist was probably my favorite thing about the novel. Hazel is young and has been unsuccessful in her career so far, but she approaches this case with a determination and grit well beyond her years. I liked seeing her stumble and grow along the way. The twists and turns were good, but I did see one major twist pretty early on. It didn’t really matter though as I was enjoying the novel so much. Overall, this thriller provided an enjoyable afternoon. Thank you to @danielgmillerauthor for a gifted copy of this book. #bookstagram #thriller #thrillerbooks #thrillernovel #suspense #mystery #thrillerlover #thrilleraddict #bibliophile #sundayreads

Buon pomeriggio miei cari lettori come state? #bookhaul #book #bookstagramitalia #bookstagram #libri #booktok #books #reading #libridaleggere #booklover #bookshelf #bookaesthetic #favoritebook #thrillerbook #thrillerlover #classicbook #fantasybook #adventurebook #dystopianbooks #romancebook

𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗖𝗹𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗿 Earlier this week, I accidentally posted my placeholder with the title only... No secret messages behind that post, but I appreciate those that reached out to check in on me. It was shooting to be my Thursday Thriller post and I lost the draft. For some reason, I can't seem to post this review. One thing I love about Leah Konen's books is how relatable she makes the characters, especially the mothers as they navigate motherhood. It was no surprise that the birth of her son changes Mary. More than ever, she is in need of a friend that understands. Thankfully she meets Willa. It's in the middle of her custody battle and divorce proceedings from her controlling husband when he is found dead. Who killed him will surprise you. If you enjoy rich people drama, female friendships, this twisty, popcorn thriller is for you. Since I’ve hooked up with @thrillerbookloversthepulse I’ve handed out more five star ratings than I can count. But after reading The Last Party by @alessandratorre4, I’ve come to the conclusion that I have to adjust my rating system. I’d those other books were five star reads (and they were!), then this one is not. Instead, I shall bestow upon it an official six stars. Also, it’s super unhinged, and people who actually have souls and are not dead inside like me might want to use caution. A loving mother. A notorious murderer. They both have reasons to hide their secrets in a novel of escalating shock and suspense by New York Times bestselling author A. R. Torre. Perla Wultz lives with her husband, Grant, and their precious daughter, Sophie, in a gated Pasadena community. Affluent, sociable, and accomplished, Perla plays the part of loving wife and mother to perfection. It seems an ideal life, if not for a decades-old crime that has become Perla’s dark and consuming secret obsession. Twenty-three years ago, Leewood Folcrum confessed to murdering two young girls during a birthday party. Though he’s been condemned to a life sentence, his crime is not forgotten. Not by Perla, nor by an inquisitive doctoral student interviewing Folcrum for his dissertation. He’s getting the killer to open up―about his motives, his confession, and the truth of what really happened on that horrible night. As the past and the present entwine, the deceptions behind the infamous murder begin to surface. But who’s deceiving who now? And why? And as an ingeniously twisted plan is set in motion, who will be the next to die? Do you have a set rating system? I absolutely rate books by mood and feeling and have no official system whatsoever. 😂 • • • • • #thrillerbookloversthepulse #pulsepoint #bookstagram #bookworm #thepulse #bookish #booknerd #bookaddict #bookme #bookshelf #bookaholic #amazonpublishing #BookNow #bookphotography #booking #bookstagrammer #thrillerlover #booklovers #bookstore #booksofinstagram #bookblogger #bookstagramfeature #booknerdigans #bookquotes #bookcover #bookclub #bookishfeatures #Bookmark #thelastparty #artorre

Hey #bookreaders , i read #thesilentpatient and here’s what i felt about the book… 👉🏻Alex Michaelides‘ The Silent Patient is a fast-paced psychological thriller that kept me guessing until the very end. However, the pacing issues, underdeveloped characters, and potential predictability might detract from the overall experience for some readers. 👉🏻THE PLOT revolves around a captivating mystery: the case of Alicia Berenson, a talented artist who inexplicably shoots and kills her husband in their London home, then refuses to speak ever since. 👉🏻Weaknesses: Uneven Pacing: The initial build-up is gripping, but the middle section can feel slow at times. Flat Characters: The characters, aside from the silent patient herself, lack depth and can feel one-dimensional. 👉🏻Recommendation: If you’re looking for a quick and twisty thriller with a dark and atmospheric setting, The Silent Patient is worth checking out. However, if you prefer character-driven stories with a strong emotional core, you might want to explore other options. Predictable for Some Readers: Those familiar with unreliable narrators or certain thriller tropes might guess the twist beforehand. #psychologicalthriller #murdermystery #suspensefulreads #unreliablenarrator #darksecrets #psychologicalsuspense #whodunit #alexmichaelides #silentbutdeadly #whatareyoureading #currentlyreading #bookreview #bookdiscussion #readersofinstagram #bookishthoughts #bookstagram #bookloversofinstagram #booklovers #bookworm #readmorebooks #thrillerlover #mysteryreads #mindgames

💀💀💀 6️⃣8️⃣ The Minders - John Marrs Pub Date - 23.07.20 Date Read - 26.04.24 Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ -- Swipe for synopsis -- Five people from different walks of life are offered the chance to give up their lives in order to protect government secrets. They have to leave everything behind and make sure they do not allow anyone they meet to get too close. These people are called the Minders. The third book in the world John Marrs has created, and the first so far that I've not loved. It was a little slow at times, but from around the halfway point things started picking up and becoming much more enjoyable. I'd have loved there to be a little more to the final chapter, but that's purely because I like things to be neatly wrapped up at the end of the books I'm reading. Now onto the fourth book. #qotd: Would you give up your life/job/family/friends/identity for 5 years to protect government secrets? #theminders #johnmarrs @johnmarrs.author #goodreadschallenge #goodreads #thrillerbooklovers #bookaddicts #readingaddict #fortheloveofreading #readingtime #bookstagram #booksofinsta #instareading #booksonbooks #booksaremylife #bookstagramcommunity #horrorbooks #thrillerlover #horrorbookstagram #thrillerbookstagram #spookyreads #bookstagramuk #UKbookstagrammers #ukbookstagram #bookstagrammeruk🇬🇧

👩🏼🥂🎅🏻 ❤︎AUDIOBook 🎧 Review❤︎ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 I was really pleasantly surprised by this thriller and I went in only knowing there was a woman on a ledge— and that’s where the story begins. After an office Christmas Party, which takes place in a high-rise building, a woman walks out on a ledge and jumps to her death— but is that the whole story? I have to admit, during the first part of the story I was getting a little frustrated with the ridiculous moves made by the main characters and the strange direction the story was taking, but then at around the halfway point everything changes and much is explained. At that point the story becomes quite intriguing. Once we get to the last quarter of the book we know what is going to happen yet I felt it took a bit too long to get there. Also, the dual timeline on audio was somewhat challenging to keep up with but all in all this one was a lot of fun. ☞ Are you scared of heights? Any phobias? ✒︎ I am terribly scared of heights and have a bit of claustrophobia. #WhatsSheDoingUpThere? #ComeBackInside #thrillerlover #audiobookreview #audiobook #thriller #iloveagoodmystery #californiabooknerd #bookphotography

Meet the bookstagrammer: I’m Calla! I’m a 30 year old ER/PICU nurse turned psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner student (I graduate with my MSN in December). I’m married to the LOML who is also a nurse, and have a 2 year old little man… the two of them are my world! We also have two dogs who are certain they’re also human: Emma Watson and Rory. We live on a small hobby farm in 🇺🇸 and have chickens, horses, and goats. I love the outdoors, gardening, and hiking. I play guitar, sing, and lead worship at my church. I also love reading (shocker, I know), especially psychological thrillers and the occasional smutty romcom. I enjoy supporting indie authors and writing ARC reviews, as well. ☺️ However you got here, I’m glad to meet you and hope you stick around! Was genau steckt dahinter?

Friday Favourites 🎧📖 Today I want to showcase two of my all time favourite books!! Both of these have been out a few years now and both of these have tv/netflix adaptations! Books included in post - Anatomy Of A Scandal by Sarah Vaughan - Apple Tree Yard by Louise Doughty In some ways these books are quite similar, they are both courtroom dramas and deal with similar crimes! They both have blinding twists and they are both narrated amazingly as audiobooks! These for me will always be up there among my all time favourites! Have you read/listened to these ones?? Did you watch the adaptation tv series of either of these books?? #bookstagram #booklover #bookobsessed #fiction #fridayfavorites #bookaddict #bookcommunity #bookchallenge #thrillerlover #audiobookstagram #appletreeyard #anatomyofascandal #sarahvaughan #louisedoughty

BOOK • REVIEW Title: Darling Girls Author: Sally Hepworth Genre: Thriller I absolutely loved this thriller! The fast paced plot had my attention from beginning to end. Every time I had to put it down I was thinking about it until I could continue reading it. The story is told from past and present perspectives, from multiple different points of view. I loved the characters and the dynamic between their relationships. I love the bond Jessica, Alicia, and Norah shared and how they all had varying challenges that they had to face throughout the story. The story was character driven, the pacing was done in a way that kept intrigue high, and the twists in the plot were well done. Thank you @stmartinspress for sending me a copy. #bookdragon #books #booksphotography #lesen #reading #lesenmachtglücklich #biblophile #bookishgirl #nerd #bücher #bookiessupport #piperverlag #petergrandl #bookrecommendations #netgalley #bookiesagainstalgorithm #readersofinstagram #instaread #Thriller #thrillerbooks #thrillerlover #thrill #autumnvibes #autumn #booksmysafeplace #lesenverbindet #blogger

Oh baby!! Look what landed in my #littlefreelibrary today! @celadonbooks was nice enough to send me two copies of Granite Harbor by @peternicholsauthor - one to read, and one to share in my #lfl before it publishes on Tuesday. A small town in coastal Maine is shaken to its core by a serial killer in this crime novel from Peter Nichols, bestselling author of The Rocks In scenic Granite Harbor, life has continued on―quiet and serene―for decades. That is until a local teenager is found brutally murdered in the Settlement, the town’s historic archaeological site. Alex Brangwen, adjusting to life as a single father with a failed career as a novelist, is the town’s sole detective. This is his first murder case and, as both a parent and detective, Alex knows the people of Granite Harbor are looking to him to catch the killer and temper the fear that has descended over the town. Isabel, a single mother attempting to support her family while healing from her own demons, finds herself in the middle of the case when she begins working at the Settlement. Her son, Ethan, and Alex’s daughter, Sophie, were best friends with the victim. When a second body is found, both parents are terrified that their child may be next. As Alex and Isabel race to find the killer in their midst, the town’s secrets―past and present―begin bubbling to the surface, threatening to unravel the tight-knit community. At once a page-turning thriller and a captivating portrait of the social fabric of a small town, Granite Harbor evokes the atmosphere of HBO’s Mare of Easttown with a villain reminiscent of Thomas Harris’s Silence of the Lambs. They totally had me hooked at the mention of Silence of the Lambs. That’s one of my all time favorite thriller movies, along with Se7en and Kiss The Girls. What is your favorite thriller MOVIE? • • • • • #celadonbooks #littlelibrary #freelibrary #thrillerlover #crimenovel #policeprocedural #giftedbook #mattawanmichigan

𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐨𝐧 + 𝐦𝐲 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐠 😍😍😍 I am absolutely obsessed with my first bag from @portlandleather ! I wanted something large enough to tote some books in and maybe my laptop when I’m on the go, and the crossbody tote delivered! I’ve been using an old dingy purse I got around 2017 to tote all my things to and from work and I was so happy to finally trash that and use this beauty instead! Anyways, here’s three books I’m hoping to read soon! 🐝 More by @mollyrwinter 🧳 The Sleepwalkers by @scarthomas (thanks to @simonbooks for the free copy!) 👧🏻 Sociopath by Patric Gagne (I started this one a few weeks ago but couldn’t get into it. The Killing Room By: Robert Smartwood 5 🩸 🩸🩸🩸🩸 As a thriller lover this title grabbed my attention. Smartwood is a new-to-me author but has a large catalog of books. Wow!!! Fast-paced, twisted. Imagine taking a vacation and waking up to a dead body in your room? Let the games BEGIN! I can see this series will do well. Things are not always what they seem to be! Was this a set up? What would you do to prove your innocence? Thank you to the author for this book. Looking forward to reading the next one in this series, “Enemy of the State” which is available August 20. Dangerous Play By: Elise Hart Kipness Publisher: Thomas & Mercer Pub Date: Sept 24, 2024 5⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️ I loved the first in the series Lights Out, which was her debut. I loved this book, which is second in the series about the complicated Kate Green. She is a sports reporter who is gritty, emotional, head strong, determined and raw. Her past has been tough, but she is looking forward to her new assignment covering women’s Olympic soccer and hoping for a fresh start. ⚽️ Nothing like a murder, to bring reporters to the forefront. Alexa Kane is a famous designer who is found dead in the locker room. Kate knew Alexa from her time with the US youth national team. Why is she in the locker room?? She is not part of the team. ⚽️ Once again she is thrown into a investigation which involves her father, who is an NYPD detective. I hope this series continues. ⚽️ My colleagues and I at #thrillerbookloversthepulse are RAVING about this series. I highly recommend if you like strong female detective stories. ❓Do you watch the Olympics? If you do, what is your favorite sport? Mine is figure skating.⛸️ #kategreen, #dangerousplay, #thomasandmercer, #stamperlady50, #thrillerbookloversthepulse, #thrillerlover, #mustread, #bookreview, #booksconnectus

Aici s-a construit The Shore, complexul celor înstăriți, împrejmuind Lacul Oglinzii.

A shocking and unputdownable thriller with a ‘didn’t see that coming’ twist. The perfect read for fans of The Silent Patient, Mike Omer and Freida McFadden. It’s my first day back at work, and the grief I’m carrying is still with me, but I file it away and put on my professional face to greet my new patient. As a successful psychiatrist and criminologist, I’m used to working with damaged minds. But I’m not prepared for Trent Davis. Sitting across the table from me, his warm brown eyes shine. He laughs easily and part of me can’t help but like him, despite what his file says he’s capable of. Then a package arrives for Trent, with my home as the return address. And everything falls apart… We are thrilled that it's publication day for The Therapist: A completely unputdownable thriller with an incredible twist by @safalkauthor ! 🤍 Wednesday 🤍 Happy Wednesday, book lovers! 🤓 This week seems to be dragggging, but I’m so happy I’m enjoying my current read. 🫶🏽 I have been reading since I was 3 years old, and I remember my parents telling me to put my books away at the dinner table when I was a kid 🤭. I have loved reading since I can remember. It’s an escape for me and I love being in another world. Although I read thrillers and not sure I want to be stalked or murdered 😂. 💬 What do you love the most about reading ? ✨ 🏷 #bookaesthetic #bookedanbusybookstagram #bookaholic #readingaddict #readersofinsta #booksofig #alwaysreading #readstagram #bookishlife #cozyreadingmoments #booklover #bookspines #booksbooksbooks #thrillerbooks #darkbooks #bookworm #reader #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #prettybooks #openbook #thrillerlover #thriller #readmorebooks

BOOK REVIEW: DARLING GIRLS BY SALLY HEPWORTH Pub date: April 23, 2024 (US/Canada) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4.5/5 stars Darling Girls is a domestic suspense book that focuses on 3 foster sisters: Jessica, Norah and Alicia. The book is set in Australia and has multiple points of view. The story has a past/present timeline, which isn’t always my favorite. However in this case the past was very interesting. The three foster sisters all stayed with Miss Fairchild. And we go back and forth between their time in foster care and the present (where something is discovered at the house where they all lived). I found both timelines to be quite riveting. I really enjoyed seeing how the girls bonded as children. And I really enjoyed the mystery in the present. I was especially interested in how all three women functioned as adults. And I was very curious about Amy. Overall this was an intriguing mystery with some really fun reveals. And the last chapter was epic! Thank you so much for the physical finished copy of this book and the swag @stmartinspress @sallyhepworth Q1: CHECK OUT the awesome swag I received on slide 2. The Main Character arc review By Jaclyn Goldis Mystery ⭐⭐⭐✨  I was really excited to read this one, but it ended up feeling a bit overwhelming and rushed.  Summary 📖 Ginevra Ex is a famous mystery author, known for her unique style of storytelling. She finds real people to be her main character, interviews them and their friends and family, and then fictionalizes them. Her new story revolves around Rory. To celebrate the book, Ginevra puts Rory and some surprise guests on a luxury train vacation across the Italian coast. But once on board, secrets come out and things turn deadly.  What I liked ❤️ 🚂 The setting I enjoyed spending time on the dining cart, the rooms, and going on the excursions with the guests. I love a good isolated setting mystery, and the train definitely made the book more special. 🥨The twist at the end It was a nice surprise. ✡️A glimpse at Jews living in Russia I felt like I learned a little bit about history I didn't know. What I didn't like 👎 🏃The ending felt rushed We learned some great information at the very end and then the story just stops. ✍️Ginevra's character/storyline It just didn't feel realistic to me. I don't want to say too much and spoil it, but I just had a hard time understanding her. 🤯Too much content/too much going on  I felt like I was reading two books at once. Normally I'm ok with that and although I enjoyed both stories here, I felt a bit overwhelmed by having both of them there. The book felt very busy to me. I would say this book is worth reading and you may like it better than me. The setting was really fun. Thank you @atriabooks for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. ⁉️Where would you love to travel to? Where is one of your favorite places you've been? My answer: I want to go to England and Egypt. I loved going to Japan and South Korea.

BOOK • REVIEW Title: The Soulmate Author: Sally Hepworth Genre: Thriller I absolutely loved this book. This was my first time reading anything by Sally Hepworth and now I’m hooked. I literally couldn’t put this book down. This book is about a couple, Pippa and Gabe, who live in a house on a cliff. The drop behind their house is known as a spot where people who are considering suicide go. Gabe has is well known in the area as having the ability to talk people off the ledge, but this time was different. There was a lot of domestic drama in this book and I couldn’t get enough of it. The story was so gripping and there were so many twists that I didn’t see coming. I appreciated the short chapters, the fast pace, and the multiple points of view. All of these elements worked nicely in keeping me completely engaged from start to finish. This is one I highly recommend. Thank you @stmartinspress for sending me a copy. . 🤗 Per momenti di spensieratezza. 🧼🫧🧽 ❤︎AUDIOBook 🎧 Review❤︎ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 After seeing mixed reviews for this one I set it aside for WAY TOO long and SO glad I finally got around to it this month because I loved it! Molly loves being a maid at the posh Regency Grand Hotel. One day she finds one of the hotel's wealthiest guests dead in their bed. It looks like foul play and as the investigation goes on, Molly gets dragged deeper and deeper into the mystery of who did it until she herself becomes a suspect. I loved this one from the very beginning and I think the key is, either you love Molly or you don’t. She is a very quirky character, obsessed with cleanliness (which I wholly appreciated!) and has some social anxiety as well and social awkwardness. I adored everything about her from her simple-minded thoughts to her kindness to her love for her grandmother. I loved all the peripheral characters and especially enjoyed the words of wisdom from her grandmother that were sprinkled throughout. I was also intrigued by the whodunit part of the story, which I didn’t figure out the details until the end and I really liked the hotel atmosphere where much of the story takes place. But the real stars of this story, for me, were the characters and the heartwarming way they came together to solve the mystery. Looking forward to reading the next in the series. ☞ What cleaning chore around the house do you dislike the most (besides taking the trash out!) ✒︎ I’m not a big fan of emptying the dishwasher or vacuuming but I’m always happy when it’s done. #DontGoInThatRoom #TheMaid #NitaProse #mystery #thrillerlover #audiobookreview #audiobook #iloveagoodmystery #californiabooknerd #bookphotography

Extinction by Douglas Preston had me wanting to book in at the exclusive Erebus Resort, tucked into the Colorado Rockies, to view some re-extinct animals in the worst way - I just didn’t want to meet the same demise as the honeymooning couple at the start of the book! Straight up, this book gave me the heebie jeebies! Imagine a cloning and genetic altering science experiment determined to bring once extinct mammals back to life... now set that in a remote mountainous location... and you've got the backdrop of Preston's new thriller! The descriptions, setting, and just how real the possibility that this could happen was simply terrifying. My fear and claustrophobia were real as I read, all being attributed to Preston's incredibly atmospheric writing! A full cast of characters, strong female representation, and beautiful scenery perfectly round out this book. The only thing that rubbed me the wrong way was how the physical appearance was mentioned about the female officer (more than once); honestly, I could have overlooked this issue if it wasn't for the final mention on the last page. Narrator David Aaron Baker was absolutely phenomenal! Are there audiobook narration awards?  Because he absolutely deserves one! The speech narration flowed so smoothly, with natural hesitations and pauses as if the conversation were organically unfolding. I'm not sure I've ever heard an audiobook performed this way before, conveyed this true to real life, but I wish more audiobooks were like this - especially ones with so much reactionary narration! Four thrilling and scientific (but approachable!) stars! What was the last science-based book you read? Do you enjoy reading books that are science-heavy? (Clearly, I do!) Could Not Finish & will not be rating: Formatting Error 😫 Okay, so I got to 65% of this book & then got really confused as I was convinced the beginning of the book was being repeated. At first, I thought maybe it was a "time loop" being incorporated, but then realised, no... I was actually back at 1%! I've not experienced this before, I'm definitely going to be checking the reviews to see if anyone else has experienced the same formatting error. I feel like the title of the book is quite fitting as I was waiting for something to happen at 65% in. This story follows Liz & Phil who have a very rocky marriage after Liz has caught Phil in an emotional affair. I have to be honest, I did feel a lot of secondhand embarrassment when reading the text exchange between him a HW (his love interest). HW was definitely not interested. I did start to think that even though these text exchanges were happening on a burner phone that HW could stand for "Hot Wife" & was actually Liz, but I guess I'll never know 🤣 Whilst I was curious to see if any type of Thriller element would be included towards the end of the book (none at 65%), overall, this books pacing was not for me. That's it from me guys, so until I see you guys again, I hope you're all having the most amazingly beautiful day today, happy reading & bye 💖✨️ #bookreview #onereadatatime #couldnotfinish #amazonoriginals #hushcollection #slowburner #kindleunlimited #ku #formattingerror #unabletofinish #booksta #bookish #bookishthoughts #bookworm #bookstagram # #bookcommunity #thrillerbooks #thrillerbookstagram #thrillerlover #thrillertwisttheorieswithemma

3,5 ⭐️ #speelplaats #amollikainen #harpercollinsholland #harpercollins #worldofthrillers #thriller #spannend #spannendeboeken #lezen #reading #lekkerlezen #lovetoread #bookstagram #books #boeken #serieliefhebber #elkedaglezen #lezenisleuk #booklover #thrillerlover #lovetoread #ikhouvanlezen #boekstagram #thrilleraddict #ilovebooks #ikhouvanboeken

I’m still trying to catch up on posting all the thrillers I’ve been reading. This was a fun one. Steve Cavanagh is a new to me author. He was recommend by patron at the library and so far I’ve loved his books. The previous novels by him that I have read were more of the legal thriller variety, but his newest is a little different. Per the publisher- 🔪 One dark evening on New York City’s Upper West Side, two strangers meet by chance. Over drinks, Amanda and Wendy realize they have much in common, especially loneliness and an intense desire for revenge against the men who destroyed their families. As they talk into the night, they come up with the perfect plan: if you kill for me, I’ll kill for you. In another part of the city, Ruth is home alone when the beautiful brownstone she shares with her husband, Scott, is invaded. She’s attacked by a man with piercing blue eyes, who disappears into the night. Will she ever be able to feel safe again while the blue-eyed stranger is out there?🔪 This book is clearly inspired by Strangers on a Train, but Cavanagh takes the classic and gives it more layers and nuances and dare I say it……thrills. This is a novel where I never had any clear direction of where it was going, but Cavanagh’s deft hand kept the propulsion of the plot zooming along and it never lagged for excitement or surprises. I listened to this on audio and that only enhanced the fun. This is the perfect summer roller coaster thrill ride. #bookstagram #thriller #thrillerbooks #thrilleraddict #thrillerlover #suspense #bookliver #bibliophile

💀💀💀 6️⃣6️⃣ The One - John Marrs Pub Date - 01.03.18 Date Read - 22.04.24 Rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ -- Swipe for synopsis -- This story is told from multiple POVs; we have Nick due to be married to his fiance, Christopher who has a deadly secret, Jade who travels across the world to find her soulmate, Mandy who finds and loses her match before ever knowing and Ellie the creator of Match Your DNA. These five people all tell their stories of using the app, finding their true love and what happens next. But not all the stories have happy endings. This was such a unique story, and I loved it from start to end. Each character, each story were all so different, which kept it interesting. I could not put it down. This is my first John Marrs book, and I can't wait to read the next. #qotd: Whether you're in a relationship or not, if you could use a dating app that could guarantee you'd find your one perfect match, would you do it? #theone #johnmarrs @johnmarrs.author #goodreadschallenge #goodreads #thrillerbooklovers #bookaddicts #readingaddict #fortheloveofreading #readingtime #bookstagram #booksofinsta #instareading #booksonbooks #booksaremylife #bookstagramcommunity #horrorbooks #thrillerlover #horrorbookstagram #thrillerbookstagram #spookyreads #bookstagramuk #UKbookstagrammers #ukbookstagram #bookstagrammeruk🇬🇧

Maidens Monday? that can be a thing, right?! 😜 Just started this thriller yesterday and I’m liking it so far! I LOVE @alex.michaelides book! who’s your favorite thriller/mystery author?

Hiii! 👋 Happy Monday! I keep seeing all the cool kids share their r.e.p.o.r.t.s. so I wanted to jump on the bandwagon, too! R – Reading: Well, honestly, I've only read through my own book about 100 times so that doesn't leave alllll that much room for anything else. But I did just start "What Happened to Nina?" so far it's a good why dun it. E – Eating: I just ate leftover pizza for lunch. We had a birthday party for my gal this weekend and pizza after. The leftovers hit the spot today. P – Playing: Recently, my coworker got me started on Wordle and Connections. I'm on a Wordle streak but I cannot figure out the connections for the life of me. My brain does not work that way 🤪 O – Obsessed: Currently obsessed with my cover. I saw a draft of it last week and I'm obbbbssseeeeessseeddd. Can't wait to share it with all of you. R – Recommending: If you haven't read The Women, you must. I'm still thinking about it. T – Treating: I have so many events coming up. I may or may not have ordered 11 dresses to try (you know I did). I'll probably return at least nine of them but I can't wait to celebrate my dad's retirement, our exchange student's graduation, and MY BOOK! S – Secrets: It's not a very well-kept secret but my cover comes out soon and so do the ARCs. I cannot wait to finally share my work with all of you. And I'm scared outta my mind, so there's another S for ya 😅 Welp, there you have it. Big week ahead and even bigger summer coming my way. Let's gooooo, besties! Submit your REPORTS this week and tag me. I wanna know what you're up to. 💬 Pick one and answer!

💐𝒜𝓅𝓇𝒾𝓁 𝒮𝓉𝒶𝒸𝓀💐 Love doing this challenge and spelling different months in books🪻 I loved The Appeal and The Lie Tree but haven’t read another three yet. Patsy is definitely on my list for May, since I couldn’t fit it in April. April so far has been quite crazy and I cannot wait for quieter times 😅 💭Do you like to play with your books? Compete different challenges/create stacks?

👯‍♀️Pub Week Book Review👯‍♀️ 📖 Darling Girls ✍🏻 Sally Hepworth @sallyhepworth 📆 April 23, 2024 Thank you @stmartinspress for this amazing package of a finished copy of Darling Girls, the paperback of The Soulmate, and tea named after the three main characters in the book. The flavors match the personalities so well! Also, thank you @macmillan.audio for the advanced listeners copy! Swipe for synopsis ➡️ MY THOUGHTS: Sally Hepworth is an auto read/buy author for me. If she writes it, I read it! When Darling Girls was available on @netgalley I literally rushed to request it, and couldn’t have been happier to be approved. Let me tell you, I was not surprised how much I loved this book! Three foster sisters need to reunite after the bones of a child are found under the home they grew up in. I mean honestly, that description is enough for me to want to read a thriller, but this book was so much more than that. It literally messed with my mind in a good way. I couldn’t trust any of the sisters yet, I felt so many emotions for each of them. The multiple perspectives and dual timelines worked perfectly for this book with each sister sharing her story. Then Hepworth throws in a fourth narrator who we don’t know who it is until way into the story. Hepworth writes domestic thrillers so well, and I loved that she took this one a little further and gave us a dark and twisted psychological thriller. I didn’t know who to trust, and that worked perfectly for me! The twists kept coming up until the very end which made this a must read thriller for sure! I listed to the audiobook which was narrated by Jessica Clarke. While I loved Clarke‘s narration, I really wished this was a multi-cast audiobook. It would have worked just a little better for me, but honestly, Clarke did pull it off, and it wasn’t hard to keep track whose story I was listening to because the chapters were prefaced with their names and timeline. I look forward to reading more books narrated by Clarke because she did a great job with making me feel for each character. ❓QOTD: if there was a kind of tea named after you which flavor would you be? ❗️AOTD: I’m chamomile because I love to sleep!
