Wystarczy chwilą "spóźnienia" i wszystko może być pozamiatane, nie zdążymy mrugnąć, a historia się zakończy bez pozostawienia w czytelniku czegokolwiek. "Mistrzami" w wydawaniu krótkich form są Tajfuny i Artrage. No może bardziej te pierwsze wydawnictwo, ponieważ w przypadku tych drugich o wiele częściej mam problem z oceną (chociaż ostatni Noblista jeszcze przede mną- razy dwa). Właśnie zauważyłem, że ten pierwszy akapit był tak długi jak nigdy, odwrotnie proporcjonalny do opisywanej powieści. Przymiotniki, jakie mi przychodzą do głowy to: brutalna, mocna, dosadna. Czyli taka, jak powinna być, gdy opisujemy losy kobiet, gdzie w tle "gra" mroczną historia Peru z końca XX wieku, pełna terrorystycznych czy socjalistycznych działań. Jednak z drugiej strony od razu wpadł mi do głowy inny przymiotnik- chaotyczna. Bo niestety dla mnie ta opowieść taka trochę była. Przez wszystkie strony czułem się, jakbym był trochę obok niej, jakbym nie wskoczył w rytm, w muzykę, jakby brakowało mi jakościowego odsłuchu. Czy mam coś więcej do dodania? Chyba nie. Nie będę zdradzał szczegółów historii, bo każde jedno nadmierne zdanie mogłoby spowodować rozwiązanie całej fabuły. Czytajcie i wyróbcie swoją opinię. Nonostante ciò lei è speciale, divertente, frizzante. Emana profumo di pulito persino quando si trova "a tu per tu" con un cadavere. Anche qui nessun problema visto che il padre è il commissario della città e lei è dotata di quel potere di infiltrarsi in ogni situazione, anche le più pericolose, per recuperare informazioni utili. Non è solo un'indagine ma un vero e proprio viaggio a ritroso nel tempo, in cui la passione per certi ritrovamenti fa brillare gli occhi e palpitare il cuore. A questo si aggiungono dolore e rabbia per un mondo sommerso che lavora sotto gli occhi di tutti e di nessuno. J'ai adoré, mais la prise aux tripes n'aura pas été aussi violente : Les gens heureux lisent et boivent du café m'aura touchée et mise dans un tel état ! Je n'ai jamais pleuré à aussi chaudes larmes qu'auprès de Diane... . Ici, nous partageons les blessures d'Erin, Gary et Ivan. L'histoire de femmes et d'hommes qui tanguent entre leur prédisposition à vivre sur terre et leur besoin de se perdre dans l'océan. Une histoire de marins qui n'ont peut-être pas le pied terrestre et inversement. . Comme toujours, il y a la plume de l'auteure qui nous plonge dans la psychologie de chaque personnage de façon si intense que j'en suis troublée presque à chaque fois. . Mais cette fois-ci, j'ai trouvé une évolution de l'auteure par rapport à ces personnages : la noirceur de l'un d'eux est une chose à laquelle nous n'avions pas été habitués. L'ensemble m'a alors paru bien différent de ses autres écrits. Cela ne m'a pas déplu, mais pour le coup surprise. . Nous avons donc ici bien la même plume, mais l'orientation de l'écriture et de la psychologie des personnages sont nouvelles, et peut-être un peu plus périlleuses. J'ai apprécié cette évolution, et je suis donc bien curieuse de découvrir ce que l'auteure nous réserve pour le prochain ! 😊 .

Quatre portraits touchants et pénétrants. Johanna, celle avec qui la littérature devint un territoire commun, lectrice assidue des premiers balbutiements de l’autrice . Quelques années avant il y eut Niki, « une sorte de pièce de théâtre perpétuelle où tous les genres s’imbriquaient, où rien n’était immobile ni prévisible ». Puis Alejandro et avec lui une tempête des sens inoubliable et enfin Brigitte. Aber auch die Nebencharaktere waren passend super für die Geschichte. Und ich fand es auch schön dass Sander und Norah aus Teil eins mit erwähnt wurden. Es war auf jeden Fall eine riesen Freude die Geschichte und Entwicklung beider Charaktere mit zu erleben. Kolejny thiller polskiej autorki, który wpadł ostatnio w moje ręce. "Pustać" - tytuł nie mówił mi kompletnie nic. Jednak później okazał się kluczowy. W tytułowej Pustaci miało miejsce wydarzenie, które zapoczątkowało wiele... złego. Poznajemy Adę, główna bohaterkę tej książki w dość interesujący sposób. Już na sam start autorka przedstawiła nam ją, jako niestabilną emocjonalnie kobietę z traumatycznymi przejściami życiowymi, która korzysta z pomocy psychologa, by walczyć ze swoimi demonami. Tym samym w głowie czytelnika powstaje pytanie, co takiego się wydarzyło? Agata Zamarska w swojej książce przedstawia nam czas obecny, ale aby pokazać co się wydarzyło wraca również do przeszłości Ady. Do tego, co spowodowało tyle problemów w życiu głównej bohaterki. A wierzcie mi, problemów ma ona mnóstwo. Początek książki zapowiadał zagmatwaną ale interesującą historię. Taka też ona była. Jedyne co, to nie spodobała mi się ta uparta naiwność Ady. Zastanawiałam się dlaczego daje się ona ciągle podpuszczać tej durnej Dorocie. Pod koniec książki wyjaśniło się dlaczego. Tego się kompletnie nie spodziewałam. Autorka zaskoczyła mnie konkretnie! Myślę jednak, że wątek morderstwa i intrygi, można by rozwinąć lepiej. Mało w tym wszystkim takich porywających emocji. I to zakończenie, które niestety mnie do końca się nie podobało. Pomysł na książkę - super. Postaci hmm... główna bohaterka dobrze, że tak napiszę - skrojona, ale bardziej podobała mi się postć Doroty. Kamil i cała reszta, trochę mało wyraziści. Szybko o nich zapomnę. Agata Zamarska stworzyła fajną tajemniczą i zaskakująca historię, ale jak dla mnie mało szokującą i emocjonującą. Dla kogoś, kto zaczyna przygodę z gatunkiem, będzie idealna. Mir war beim Kauf klar, dass es drei Teile gibt. Inzwischen zeichnet sich ab, dass es wohl fünf Teile gibt. Im einen toll, im anderen für mich als Leser schade, weil ich so lange auf weitere Teile warten muss. Das nur vorab. Ich fand die Forsetzung spannend, u d mehr als gelungen. Das Einzige was mir nicht gefallen hat u d deshalb nicht volle Sterne gebe ist, dass sich sehr viele Inhalte aus dem ersten Band mit dem zweiten überschritten haben. Dh Ich habe die Passagen bereits aus der Sicht Ei er der anderen Protagonisten bereits gelesen. Was es zu Beginn der Fortsetzung mir etwas verleidet hat weiterlesen zu wollen. “The Indifferent Stars Above: The Harrowing Saga of the Donner Party,” by Daniel James Brown. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 •••••••••• April certainly has been a good month for reading for me! This was one of the first books I purchased when I went to America last year (shout out to Barnes and Nobles in Honolulu!) and glad I found this book. I first found out about this book and the horrifying story of the Donner Party through my favourite podcast, Last Podcast on the Left, where they did a two part series on the Donner Party, and they used this book for a lot of their research and a primary source. In April 1846, Sarah Graves and a group of pioneers set off for a better life west to California from Illinois. As soon as they reach the Nevada mountains, heavy snow sets in and makes the journey incredibly hard to continue. Weeks go by and the Donner party are cold and desperate, and soon resort to the unthinkable to survive… As brutal and gut wrenching as this book can be, Brown creates an atmosphere for his readers so we understand how dangerous and difficult this journey would have been in 1846. The level of detail and description Brown goes into regarding every step of the Donner Party journey makes you feel like you’re there with them. This is such a well documented book and definitely one of the most memorable nonfiction works I’ve read in a while. Whilst this book may not be uplifting and bleak at times, if you are interested in American history or pioneer life, I would highly recommend this book. Maybe check the trigger warnings before reading, but this is very much a book I could not put down. Hello hello 🌻! Bon, il faut bien qu'il y ait des déceptions et on tient la première de cette année 2024 (franchement, belle perf' quand même, j'ai tenu jusqu'en avril 😂). On parle donc de The fine print 🎢. Pourtant, l'histoire était prometteuse et paraissait originale. Une "boss romance" dans un univers de parc d'attraction, franchement, ça me bottait bien 🎡. Malheureusement, quelle ne fut pas ma déception, et ce, dès les premiers chapitres 😬. S'il y a bien un truc qui me fait lever les yeux au ciel, ce sont les scènes de smut à outrance, mais surtout qui n'apportent rien à l'histoire 🙄. Dès les premières pages, le personnage principal, Rowan, fait des commentaires franchement limites, concernant la protagoniste, Zahra (non mais frérot tu la connais depuis 10 secondes, calme tes ardeurs 🤮). Déjà ça partait mal, ça ne m'a donc pas aidé à m'attacher aux personnages et à leur histoire. Je n'y ai juste pas cru, les thématiques étaient traitées en surface, c'était plus cliché et prévisible qu'autre chose. Bref, ça n'apporte rien que l'on ait pas déjà vu 100 fois, selon moi. J'avais l'impression de survoler l'histoire, sans pour autant m'imprégner de l'univers. Il avait pourtant tellement de potentiel, mais pour autant, ça manquait cruellement de descriptions, de quelque chose à se mettre sous la dent pour nous faire rêver. Bref, la fin en mode "happy end" avec le package du couple parfait, ça a fini de m'achever 😭. Alors même si vers le milieu du roman, le tout s'est un peu amélioré rendant l'histoire plus intéressante, ça reste un flop pour moi. This was a beautiful ending to this series, however, I really didn’t gel with this book as much as I did with the rest of this series. I hated the constant “he is so much older” and “She is too young”, it really got to much like it became part of their personality and in the end it really started giving me the ick. I will say I loved the unique plot line it was super sweet and cute and I love when people who have suffered get the love they deserved in the end. I will continually shout how I would love to see Harvey get his own stand-alone book, I absolutely have adored that man throughout this series. 27/04/2024 Blossom books geeft nu ook erotische fictie voor vrouwen uit onder de naam Blush books. Het eerste e-book van de S.I.N reeks staat op kobo plus dus ideaal om eens te kijken of het iets is. Deze reeks werd aangekondigd als een van de heetste series van dit moment, voeg daar nog eens de typische new adult cover aan toe en je snapt dat ik bepaalde verwachtingen had. Het verhaal is redelijk standaard met niet veel diepgang en alles gaat wel zeer gemakkelijk. De vrouwelijke hoofdpersoon zit al 2 jaar in een toxische relatie maar plots ziet ze het licht, dumpt hem in de eerste hoofdstukken, krijgt haar droomjob en geen problemen meer. Haar onenightstand blijkt dan wel haar nieuwe opdrachtgever met wie ze op een tropisch eiland een hotel moet zien te redden maar ook daar zit niet echt spanning in. En wat de spice betreft, de onenightstand wordt uitvoerig beschreven maar daarna zijn er mss nog 2 heel korte stukjes en dat is het.
