🫣 Does horror read scary? . For the last week I’ve been wondering if reading a horror book would give you the same jump scare as a film. Yesterday I picked up two Stephen king books. Carrie which I’ve seen and the running man which I haven’t but would love to watch after I’ve read the book. If you’re looking for a crazy, heartwarming adventure…look no further! The Mostly True Story of Tanner and Louise was such a fun, quirky little book it felt like a breath of fresh air. 21 year old Tanner needs a place to live, and elderly Louise needs some help getting around and to and from doctors appointments. When Louise wakes Tanner up in the dead of night and asks her to drive her hidden getaway car…Tanner is in for the adventure of her life. I really enjoyed this one and found it to be so heartwarming. Thank you to @berkleypub for the #gifted copy. My set is from @angelmaternity_usa and you’ll definitely find me wearing it all summer! And the award for best covers everrrrr go to… I’m forever obsessed with these covers. But equally as good, I really enjoyed Tender Beast! I can honestly say I loved it more than her last, Delicious Monsters. Sunny Behr always has it together, always keeps her family in check, always upholds her family’s legacy. But now her brother is under suspicion for murder and the murders keep happening and Sunny…is starting to lose control. Can Sunny figure out what’s really happening before it’s too late for her family? I can honestly say this one kept me guessing the entire time. I could not figure out what was happening and when it was all finally revealed 🤯🤯 let’s just say things get crazy! This was a fun YA horror and definitely one I recommend if you’re looking for something out of the box to keep you guessing! Thank you to @simonandschuster for the #gifted copy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 ⛴️ 🛳️ 🌊 ⚓️ This book was literally wild....So wild and unexpected that I can't say much about it without ruining it. Basically, imagine going to sleep on a huge cruise ship, waking up and being the only passenger left 😱. That is what happened to Caz on board the RMS Atlantica. I cannot say anything more than that, because it goes crazyyy. I did enjoy it overall, but I found it was way too long for what it was, and the last page just ANNOYED me. There is nothing out there quite like this, so I would reccomend reading it if you want to be shocked from the get go. However, be prepared for it to take a while to read at almost 500 pages! It's a commitment.

Keep your eyes peeled for the full reveal 👀 I did a full review of this book last week if you’re interested in hearing my non-spoiler thoughts! Here’s the official blurb: Solarians are your enemy and your enemies will eat you alive if you let them. Struggling to find her place in a world divided by race, Kemora wants to lose herself in the mysterious land below the clouds. Halflings continue to go missing from her village, but when her lover goes missing, she can no longer ignore it. After planning an investigation disguised as a book heist, she rushes home to confront her father about her findings. Rather than her father, she finds a small army of Solarians outside her village. Taken captive, Kemora is forced to navigate court life with the enemy while she continues her search for the truth. With each discovery, she begins to question everything she knows. MISTAKES WE NEVER MADE makes you want to plan a summer road trip and rekindle an old flame. 🌵🌄☀️ Ngl, I was a little iffy going into this knowing the author was from Bachelor stardom. The only Bachelor-related franchise I’ve watched is Golden, which helped going into this, because I couldn’t associate Hannah Brown with anything other than this cutesy romcom. And honestly? This gave what it needed to give. “The Core Four” friendship runs decades deep – from the awkward teen years, surviving college apart to adulthood in new cities – nothing can break the bond that Emma, Sybil, Willow and Nikki share. Back together like old times to marry off Sybil, the group is eager to celebrate this next chapter. Until a night of too many tequila shots gives the bride cold feet and she disappears days before the wedding. While the rest of the wedding party stays back, Emma and Finn pair up to drive across state lines in search of Sybil. Their search turns into a days-long adventure, the miles and desert stretches between CA, NV and NM serving as the backdrop for rekindling their decades-old flame that had been left in the past and discovering what went wrong all those years ago. It’s friends to lovers, second chance romance, close proximity, fierce friendships (through the fun and tough stuff) and lots of self-discovery. Oh, and a little car spice between drawn out lovers making it right! 🔥 Thanks to @readforeverpub for the digital advanced copy! MISTAKES WE NEVER MADE is out May 7! P.S. - had to include a pic from my own roadtrip out west since this influenced me to plan another one ASAP. #mistakeswenevermade #readforeverpub #foreverpublishing #hannahbrown #romcombooks #romcomreads #hannahbrownbachelorette #thebachelor #thebachelorette #realitytvauthors #celebrityauthors #may2024release #newromcombooks #bookstoaddtotbr #newbookalert #summerbooks #2024summerbooks #summerreadinglist #romcomsofinstagram #romcombookstagram #booksaboutroadtrips #honestbookreview #bookreviewer #advancedcopy #friendstoloversromance #friendstolovers #closeproximityromance #secondchanceromance #secondchanceromancebooks

📖 B O O K R E V I E W 📖 Title: Ready Or Not Author: Cara Bastone Genre: Romance Goodreads: 4.31 Pub Date: February 13, 2024 *swipe for synopsis* My Thoughts: Okay honestly I haven’t been able to stop thinking about this story since I finished it two weeks ago. It just randomly pops in my head as I’m going about my day and I love it. This has to be one of the sweetest friends to lovers stories I’ve ever read. I was so invested in Eve and Shep’s journey from childhood friends to a slow burn romance. Cara Bastone wrote each character so well. Even though I got frustrated with Ethan (the baby daddy), Bastone made it so easy to understand and relate to his POV and I found myself empathizing with him. And the other characters were no different. I found each of them loveable in different ways and as a group they formed a beautiful found family. And the labor scene at the end was absolutely perfect. I love how Bastone ended this story. It was so satisfying and just gave me warm fuzzy’s. This was my first by Cara Bastone but I can’t wait to check out her other books. Add this one to your TBR asap!! I think you’ll love it. 4.5 ⭐️’s for this sweet romance. Holy smokes this thriller…👀 This one grabbed me from page one and DID NOT LET GO. The story unfolds as a young girl is found on the side of the road with no memory as to how she got there. Her father comes to take her home…but she isn’t sure if he is who he says he is. Meanwhile, a young boy is grieving his missing girlfriend. And everyone is convinced he had something to do with it. @authoranahuang doesn’t miss, hand her the crown because I haven’t disliked a book she’s wrote yet! two words, AUTO BUY. I love me any man written by Ana Huang. But Dante? Ommmgggggg, I love that this man knows his actions produce consequences and he is willing to work through those afterwards because he wants his revenge now. kicking my feet giggling, loved this book. it was fun, a little spicy on the side. Loved Vivian, independent, not a total simp and stood on business and didn’t take any of Dante’s excuses.

Book Review! ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫 The Guncle What a fun book! I loved Patrick (the Guncle). Quick synopsis: When tragedy falls upon his family he is asked to take care of his niece and nephew. While loving the single life in Palm Springs he takes the task on with love and support and finds he’s really good at it. Patrick or GUP (gay uncle Patrick) as the kids would call him, has the best comebacks and life lessons for the kids. This book had me giggling at times. It’s a bit slow moving but enjoyable. And I can’t wait to read the upcoming sequel to see what’s in store for this family. #readingbooks #alwaysreading #bookstagram #booksofinstagram #readmore #bookrecommendations #bookreview #bookreviews #theguncle #ireadeveryday #bookstoaddtotbr #ilovebooks

My first read of the year was a good one y’all! 🙌🏻 I’m not a huge fantasy reader but this one was awesome. Sylah has grown up in a broken society where some lavish in wealth and others just try to survive the day. But Sylah has been trained to overthrow those in power and she’s determined to do just that. Part love story, part revolution, this is one you don’t want to miss! I flew through it and couldn’t put it down! It was an easy 5 star read for me! I figured a year in review would be a good first post for my new bookstagram :) I’ve loved reading since I was young, but this is the first year in a long time that I’ve actually taken it seriously. I read sooo many awesome books in 2023, picking favorites was almost impossible, but I ended up pretty content with my choices. the CORAX TRILOGY One trilogy on my 2024 TBR is the Corax Trilogy by KJ Parker! @orbitbooks_us puts out my all-time favorite books! So there is no question that I will love SAEVUS CORAX DEALS THE DEAD and all of the CORAX TRILOGY. If you didn't know, here's a quick blurb: Battlefield salvage isn't taught formally; you pick it up as you go – swords, armor, arrows, and, of course, bodies. Saevus Corax has accumulated a mix of valuable finds and troublesome acquisitions over the years. It's a living, handling the deceased, and he's buried not just bodies but also his past, though not entirely successfully. 💬 If your favorite book suddenly gained the ability to chat, what would be the first question you'd ask it? I would have so many... one would be, are you immortal now? Is Kat the new Keeper? Do you see Mirabel anymore? How's married life treating you? . . . . . #saevuscorax #kjparker #fantasyreads #coraxtrilogy #read #readerbookstagram #MustReads #bookstoaddtotbr #greatreads #readsofig #reading #fantasyreads #politicalfanatsy 🐦‍⬛ today's secret emoji. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻YES. Just yes. This one was SO GOOD. Literally my heart was racing the entire book. I couldn’t put it down. I was simultaneously scared, infuriated, anxious. All of the above basically. The Reformatory is part historical fiction, part ghost story. The book follows the story of Robbie Stephens who is sentenced to six months to a boys reformatory after standing up for his sister against a prominent white family in their small town. The treatment is horrendous and to make matters worse, ghosts of boys who died there haunt the school. Meanwhile, Gloria, Robbie’s sister is doing her best to free him. But racism runs rampant in the small Florida town and Gloria faces obstacles at every turn. You don’t want to miss this one, an absolute favorite this year- I highly recommend it, it’s one that’s going to stick with me for a long time. Review time!! 👇🏻 Ok, I read this one a few months ago and for me- The Fury fell somewhere between The Maidens and Silent Patient! It was a fast read and definitely kept me interested the entire book! It reads a little like a who-dun-it novel, with a shady cast of characters. We spend most of the book trying to figure out who is responsible for the death that occurs early on in the book and of course in true thriller fashion, nothing is as it seems. I know this is a much anticipated read for many, so I’d definitely recommend giving it a read! Thank you to @celadonbooks for the chance to read this #gifted copy! Continuing the trend of fall-esque reads🍂🐦‍⬛🎃 Weyward by Emilia Hart (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5) Synopsis⬇️ ✨1619- Altha is awaiting trial for the murder of a local farmer who was stampeded to death by his herd. The town believes Altha is guilty of controlling the herd and is being tried for witchcraft. 1942. Violet is trapped in her family’s grand estate, labeled as an outcast by her family. Her father refuses her any education or social interaction of any kind. 2019. Kate escapes an abusive relationship and flees for London where a ramshackle cottage has been bequeathed to her from her great-aunt, Violet. Weaving together the stories of three extraordinary women spanning five centuries, Weyward is a magical, enchanting novel about the resilience of female strength and spirit✨ This book is a perfect recommendation for anybody wanting a magical realism story. Obviously, all three women are connected through family ties, but they also all share an affinity for nature that goes beyond simple appreciation. Each woman harnesses the ability to draw strength from the land, animals, and insects surrounding them. I personally loved the magical elements and the old tinctures and tonics that was passed down from each generation. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Shakespeare references, being a total lit nerd🤓 I will say the overall theme of this book revolves around men that harm women, which was difficult to read at times. 📚read this if you loved The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner and/or Other Birds by Sarah Addison Allen📚 ❗️TW for Weyward: abuse, suicide, rape❗️ ✨Things to look for✨ 1. The Last Magician🐍🍂✨🪄 add this to your fall tbr if you love: - magical systems - secret societies - romance subplot - secret identity - enemies to lovers - forced proximity - early 1900s New York setting - time travel This was such a fun one! This book has a magic system unlike anything I’d read before, and there are layers of deception, sincerity, and urgency that keep you wanting more— and keep you feeling conflicted about these characters and their intentions! The subplot of romance, the tension, and the sweet moments between the MC Esta and her supposed enemy Harte make you want to root for them both.. even though they are often working against one another. swipe for a summary!! 🐍🍂📖✨🔪🗽🪄 #fantasyfiction #fantasybooks #fantasynovel #fantasyseries #bookstoread #fallrecommendations #fallreading #fallbooks #fallbookstagram #pumpkinsandbooks #bookstagram #bookishpost #booksummary #thelastmagician #fantasyfallreads #bookrecommendations #bookstoaddtoyourlibrary #bookstoaddtotbr #autumntbr #septemberreads

I think that I expected this to be even scarier than it was going into it and if I hadn’t been told it was very scary it would given me more of a fright! But, it was still scary and had plenty to keep someone up at night. However, it was a bit of journey for the first 150-200 pages it was the very last part that truly haunting! I did love this story though and the atmosphere it built! Another wonderful and beautiful story!

𝔹𝕠𝕠𝕜 ℝ𝕖𝕧𝕚𝕖𝕨 ♡ Title: The Quarry Girls Author: Jess Lourey Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Read type: Physical In the end, "The Quarry Girls" is a masterpiece of suspense that will stay with you long after you've turned the final page. I found this book to be as haunting as it is unforgettable. This book is an absolute must-read for anyone who craves a story that will keep them up at night. Set against the backdrop of a close-knit Minnesota community in the summer of 1977, where innocence is shattered, secrets run deep, and the darkness lurking beneath the surface threatens to consume everything. This book is a blend of domestic suspense, mystery, and coming-of-age for main characters, Heather, Brenda, and Maureen, who are on the brink of adulthood. Diving into dark and gritty themes that sent chills down my spine. So many small-town secrets that you’ll be disgusted. The revelation about the mysterious bracelet wearer had my jaw on the floor, and I was trying my hardest to figure out who it was all through the book, nearing the end I had a pretty good idea. I loved Heather's journey from a vulnerable teenager to a fearless protector of her sister Junie. Heather's relentless pursuit of the truth in a town where everyone seems to have something to hide kept me on the edge of my seat. I thought the authors research into real-life serial killer cases from the 1970s made the story so real and consuming. The atmosphere was menacing and claustrophobic, and I loved every bit of it. This book is haunting and dark and you must read it for Spooky Season. Ruth has a sordid past she desperately wants to keep hidden. Her daughter, Catherine, desperately wants to know more about her mother. But Catherine doesn’t realize that some secrets are better left hidden… I flew through this thriller in a matter of days and was completely satisfied with the ending 👏🏻 I loved it so much and highly recommend it!! ✈ Minutes after takeoff, Flight 1421 crashes into the Pacific. During the evacuation, an engine explodes trapping several passengers inside. The partially flooded plane sinks with 12 passengers onboard. Now, it’s up to a group of professional divers and the US Navy to coordinate the rescue. Oh, and the lead diver, Chris’ estranged husband and 11-year-old daughter are two of the trapped passengers.✈ I read Newman’s debut novel Falling a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it, but this one knocks that out of the water! Almost immediately you’re dropped into the action, and it doesn’t let up until the very end. Sometimes thrillers sacrifice character development for the sake of keeping the action going, but Newman does an amazing job of creating realistic characters who you grow to care about (or loathe). Also, no spoilers, but there was a part near the conclusion that made me throw this book across the room. But in an “OMG WTF!” good way. If you’re looking for a quick (finished this in 2 days), un-put-downable story, pick this one up! Reality TV meets thrilling drama…👇🏻 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We Love to Entertain by Sarah Strohmeyer Genre: Thriller Synopsis/Thoughts: Holly and Robert are the stars of home renovation show, To the Manor Build. However, hours after their wedding the pair go missing. Everyone is quick to cast suspicion on Erika Turnball, the couples assistant who seems to have an obsession with Robert. But Erika’s mother, Kim, knows the rumors aren’t true. Racing against time, Erika and Kim team together to find out what happened to the famous couple…but might risk their own lives doing so. This was a fun read! I enjoyed the setting of a home renovation show and I definitely didn’t see the twist coming! Every time I thought I had it figured it out, I was wrong. Perfect summer read!! 👇🏻🐙 Sea Change by Gina Chung ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Genre: Literary Fiction Ro is a thirty something woman who feels stuck. She’s stuck at her job and just life in general. When she hears the aquarium she works at is going to sell the octopus she’s become close with, she starts to feel out of control. The octopus is the last thread she had to her father who was lost at sea. Ro must make a decision, to let life defeat her or to rise up and find her place. This was a fast and fun read! Rating: 5⭐️ I’ll simply start by saying that I am so excited this book is picked up by Warner Bros and turned into a movie in the near future! It is simply amazing. From the very beginning, you are thrown right into the action as Will and Shannon’s airplane begins malfunctioning 6 minutes after takeoff and crashes into the Pacific Ocean after taking off from Hawaii. Passengers are fighting to leave the aircraft but an explosion leaves the remaining (12 passengers) trapped inside the cabin as they are forced to close the doors and it begins to sink with all of them inside to the depth of the ocean. This becomes an edge-of-your-seat experience as a rescue mission against time is led to get to the remaining survivors. I listened to the audiobook of this book using Scribd and it made my experience even better. The narrators, Steven Weber, and Laura Benanti, did a fantastic job showing emotion through their characters. The pace was great! I learned so many new terms through this book which I had to look up. Love it when a book expands my knowledge and I was lost in a rabbit hole as I kept researching online. Newman did so well with the terminology and research behind her book. It did not turn me off as some other readers encountered. Highly recommend this one!

𝔹𝕠𝕠𝕜 ℝ𝕖𝕧𝕚𝕖𝕨 ♡ Title: Let It Destroy You Author: Harriet Alida Lye Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Read type: Gifted This book is a beautifully, mesmerizing story of science, love, morality, and motherhood. Set against the backdrop of World War II, the story follows the lives of August Snow, a physicist, and his former wife June, as they confront the consequences of August's invention and it’s impact on the world. Inspired by the lives of physicist Leo Szilard and his wife, Trude Weiss, the authors interpretation of their story clearly shows her skill as a storyteller. She seamlessly blends historical facts with fiction, creating a narrative that captures you from the first chapter. The parallel narratives of August and June show their individual journeys, their complex relationship, and the choices they made that led them to the present moment. While the plot revolves around scientific discoveries and inventions, including the cobalt bomb, the scientific aspects are balanced with the characters' thoughts, fears, and their daughters cancer diagnosis. I truly enjoyed both first person narratives. June and August are beautifully developed characters with contrasting perspectives on love, science, and life. Their voices are authentic and compelling, I found it very easy to connect with the them on an emotional level, understanding their hopes, fears, and motivations. This book poses profound questions about the role of scientists and the consequences of their inventions. I definitely pondered the ethical implications of scientific advancements and the power of personal connections. I cannot recommend this book enough, it’s a true literary gem. 📖 Let It Destroy You 📖 Very excited to be starting the Tandem Read Along for Let It Destroy You by Harriet Alida Lye, my first read by this author. Synopsis: It is August 12, 1945. Tomorrow, August Snow will be tried at the International War Crimes Court for patenting a more lethal variation on the atomic bomb. He invented a radiation machine to cure his young daughter’s cancer, despite knowing that the very same technology was capable of great destruction, and inevitably profited from disaster. But are his intentions relevant when the fate of the world is at stake? August’s former wife, June, will also attend the hearing. Restless in her Hague hotel room the night before, she keeps watch over their daughter and reflects on the events that brought them here. She had nothing to do with making the bomb. But is she innocent? Wouldn’t any wife and mother have done the same thing in her shoes? And now, will it cost her everything? Short and sweet book review!! 👇🏻 I recently read This Is the Way the World Ends a quick YA thriller about a teen who goes disguised as one of the most popular girls in school to an exclusive ball, only to find the orchestrators of the event have a much more sinister evening planned… This one was so much fun!! 𝔹𝕠𝕠𝕜 ℝ𝕖𝕧𝕚𝕖𝕨 ♡ Title: Stone Cold Fox Author: Rachel Koller Croft Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ 1/2 Read type: Library Book Okay so I really enjoyed this book. I want to see this adapted into a series so bad. Main character Bea is living a twisted world, she’s a cunning & determined woman with a taste for the finer things in life. A master of manipulation, she is a force to be reckoned with. Her quest to marry into wealth is not simply about money; it's about escaping her past & creating a new identity for herself. I loved Bea's complexity, balancing her conniving nature with a vulnerability that makes her surprisingly relatable. As the book delves deeper into Bea's psyche, it guides you into questioning whether she is truly her mother's daughter or if she has the power to forge her own path. The stakes are raised when Bea sets her sights on Collin Case, a wealthy bachelor who seems like the perfect mark. However, it is not Collin who poses the biggest challenge to Bea's plans, but rather his childhood friend, Gale Wallace-Leicester, who has been in love with Colin for all of her adult life. The battle of wits between Bea & Gale is page turning, as they engage in a thrilling cat-&-mouse game that I found to be clever & funny but at the same time annoying in the best possible way. What sets "Stone Cold Fox" apart is its seamless blend of fun & suspense. While the book is undeniably entertaining, with witty banter & humorous situations, it also delves into darker territory as Bea uncovers a sinister secret. The narrative takes a chilling turn, transforming the story into a heart-pounding pursuit of truth, with Bea's life hanging in the balance. Croft skillfully navigates these tonal shifts, creating a reading experience that is both lighthearted and gripping. The writing in this book is sharp & engaging, with vivid descriptions that bring the glamorous world of the elite to life. Every scene feels meticulously crafted, drawing you deeper into the story and ensuring that you are fully invested in Bea's journey. This book is an absolute gem & if you haven’t read it you should pick this one up. QOTD: Out of the 4 seasons, what is your favourite one?

𝔹𝕠𝕠𝕜 ℝ𝕖𝕧𝕚𝕖𝕨 ♡ Title: Night Road Author: Kristin Hannah Rating: ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Read type: Library Book This was a heart-wrenching novel about love, loss, and the power of forgiveness. The story revolves around Jude Farraday, a devoted mother, her twin children, Mia and Zach and Mia’s best friend Lexi. Mia and Zach come from a privileged background, while Lexi is a foster kid who’s had a rough start in life. The novel explores the challenges of adolescence and the complexities of family relationships. However, tragedy strikes, and the novel takes a heartbreaking turn. Without giving too much away, the events that unfold leave the characters shattered and forever changed. Hannah does an excellent job of capturing the raw emotions that come with loss and grief. The three teenagers are faced with the consequences of their actions and the weight of their choices. The novel is a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of making the most of every moment. Kristin Hannah's writing is powerful and evocative, and she has a talent for creating characters that are both relatable and sympathetic. She captures the essence of motherhood and the fierce love that a mother has for her children. The novel is a beautiful tribute to the bond between a mother and her children. The themes of grief and loss are explored in the novel, and Hannah does an excellent job of portraying the pain and anguish that come with the death of a loved one. The novel shows how grief can affect every aspect of a person's life, and how it can take years to heal. I found this book to be beautiful and moving and it will stay with me long after I’ve finished reading it. It is a testament to the power of love, forgiveness, and the strength of the human spirit. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good family drama and a story that will leave you feeling both heartbroken and inspired. Thanks you for buddy reading this with me friends, can’t wait to do it again. QOTD: Are you a Kristin Hannah fan? What are your weekend plans? What are you currently reading?

You know those books that shred your heart into little pieces because the nuances and characters just hit too close to home despite not being similar? Yeah well, A Place for Us by Fatima Farheen Mirza has been on my mind for so many weeks and I don’t think I’ll be able to let go of the characters that easily. The book has joined my list of favourite albeit heartbreaking reads for this year even if it made me cry for this Indian Muslim family finding a place for themselves in America. It is beautiful, tender, raw, emotional and hard hitting the way it covers a plethora of themes. There is heartbreak and so much regret that you can’t easily get over it. There is a phrase in Urdu: dur ke dhol sohaney which could be roughly translated to the English saying: the grass is always greener on the other side. And it couldn’t be more fitting to summarize the struggles, the racism, the suffering and the pain the diaspora faces when they immigrate to the West. And through this one family we see the point of view of everyone: the mother, the father, the brother, the sister, the grandfather, the grandson, the uncle, and more. A Place For Us brought to surface emotions and feelings that were common during my childhood but I’ve forgotten since. It is so weird how strongly I felt for the children as if I knew exactly what they were feeling. My heart ached for Amira, Amar, Hadia, Huda and Abbas. I felt for the parents: Rafiq and Layla as they tried to find some semblance of the American dream. Themes based on the relationship between mothers and daughter, siblings, fathers and sons, and topics like faith, religion were all thoroughly explored without it feeling like a hodgepodge of thoughts or emotions pandering to a certain gaze. A Place for Us by Fatima Farheen Mirza is a stunning and strong debut which should be read by everyone! I’m just glad I finally did 🌸

Keeping that TBR pile close for motivation 😂 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Quiet Tenant by Clemence Michallen Genre: Thriller Synopsis/Thoughts: Alright I’m calling it, one of my top ten of the year!! I COULD NOT put this one down!!! The story alternates between a serial killer, the woman he has locked in his shed, his girlfriend and his daughter 🤯 brilliant. It’s fast paced and so deliciously disturbing. It’s everything you want in a thriller. I won’t give too much away but I can’t stop thinking about this book. It was amazing 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Thank you to @aknopf for this gifted copy in exchange for an honest review. This book is available June 20th!! My dress is from @angelmaternity and I’m absolutely obsessed 🙌🏻 What was your last 5 star read? #bookreview #thequiettenantbook #5starread #goodbooks #bookstoread #somanybookssolittletime #bookstagrammer #booksbooksbooks #booksilove #bibliophile #booklover #booknerds #bookasthetic #angelmaternity #pregnantmama #bumpstyle #maternityfashion #style #bookstack #tbrpile #bookstoaddtotbr #discoverunder60k #books

My latest book/candle mail! 😍 Basically the best combination 🙌🏻 I already tore my way through The Quiet Tenant which I absolutely loved. I was so excited for Camp Zero, a futuristic novel about a young girl who gets sent to live in a remote settlement and spy on the man in charge in exchange for a safe home for her family. Unfortunately I couldn’t get into this one! I know a lot of people absolutely loved it, but I don’t think it was the book for me! But thank you to @atriabooks for the chance to read and review. This book is available now! I’m incredibly excited for Where Echos Die (that cover 😍) and This is the Way the World Ends, both YA thrillers by @wednesdaybooks @novelwicks is doing a buy one get TWO prints free in her shop tomorrow. COSY CRIME 🧶📖💕 Since I'm finding it hard to read at the moment, I've switched to audiobooks. I absolutely adored The Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman for an easy to listen, cosy crime that had me chuckling every few minutes. Lesley Manville's narration is perfect and brings each character its own charm. After that it suggested A Quiet Life In The Country by T E Kinsey which I've started. It's a fun little caper, a bit of a cross between Thursday Murder Club and Miss Marple! ❓ What's your favourite book genre and what are you reading/listening to right now? #bookishreels #foundfamilytrope #booksbooksbooks #bookstack #somanybookssolittletime #discoverunder50k #booklover #booknerd #bookishreel #bookreels #booknerd #warmandfuzzyfeeling #goodbooks #bookstoaddtotbr #fortheloveofbooks #booksareforeveryone #bookstack #lovebooks #bookasthetics #lolosbooknook #cosycrime #cosy

🏴‍☠️Argh! Look at thee treasures I found at @stocktonfriendsbookstore today. Who enjoys reading poetry? I surely do and one of my favorite poets is Rumi. I enjoy reading poems so much that I’m hoping to publish a couple poetry books this year. Any mystery/thriller lovers out there? All time favorite author is James Patterson. The Woman’s Murder Club Series is a must read. TBR pile, I see you! 🤭⁣ ⁣ March has been a month of mood reads for me. I had slated eight books to read this month. I was on track and finished five of them but then I went ahead and bought four new books. I ended up reading three of my new books 🤭⁣ ⁣ I am not complaining though because March has been my best reading month of 2023 and there are so many lovely books I read this month ❤️⁣ ⁣ #bookshelf #ageofvice #bookblogger #discoverunder2k #somanybookssolittletime #tbrpile #bookstoberead #fortheloveofit #springbooks #summertimeiscoming #bookaesthetics #booksareforever #booksareforeveryone #bookstoaddtotbr #summerreading #goodbooks #booklovers #readersofinstagram #tbr #bookworms #booksofig #alwaysreading #bookrecommendation #bookaesthetic #bookishlife #readstagram #girlswhoread #readersofinsta #bookishpost #bookrec ⁣ ⁣ ⁣
