Y’all have been staying on me about more full body workouts so here we go. 💃🏻🔥 It’s not my usual training style, but growth requires change so here we are… changing and growing and I’m bringing you with me! I’ve fallen in love with being strong and lifting heavy and although I’m not mad at it, it’s time to get out of my comfort zone again. I’ve been struggling for a few weeks now, trying to figure out how to get my workouts and diet to align with the my new goals but after last week, I feel finally good about my plan! This was my first time doing this workout, (and the first @quans_fit and I have done together in AWHILE) but after trying a few different styles of full body routines, I think this is gonna be THE ONE for a minute. Planning to stick with it for 6-8 weeks, along with my other workouts throughout the week and see how it all goes before I make any adjustments. Hi friends! 👋 My name is Lindsay Marie and I’m starting a journey to become the healthiest version of myself. 👉 Is this dedication or excuses? 👇 When you are looking to hit a goal, it comes down to 3 things you need. You need a strong "why", You need direction, And you need conviction/dedication. Nothing in the words "I'll just start again Monday", represent those 3 needs. So often people have the all or nothing principle thinking that if they messed up, then why continue. If you have a project at work and made a mistake, do you throw it in the "get to next week" pile? When cooking for your kids, if you accidently drop the meal, do you tell them, "sorry, I slipped up but you can eat again in 2 days"? I sure hope not. It may be easy to stop right now but in the long run it makes your life so much harder because you'll constantly try to catch up to the time you gave away. Want an easier path? If you feel you messed up on a meal, the next one get right back on track, don't wait till next week. Missed a workout because you didn't put it in your schedule... no worries. Do one tomorrow or split your workout in two that way if you couldn't get in your full workout for whatever reason at least you got something in. Forget about perfection and right now develop the habits to get back on track and prioritize your goals, Just like you do your work, Just like you do for your kids, It's now time to prioritize you too. Some things I’ve learned in my late 30’s about self-care… ✔️ It’s healthy to have rest days. But if they’re spent feeling the guilt of resting, you won’t actually get rest. Accept there will be days like this and do your best to enjoy them. ✔️ Recognize when it’s a “do” day. Your mood is lifted (even if only a little), you’ve gotten feelings out and your body feels back to normal. Use these days to practice self-discipline and get back into your healthy habits. Tackle all the things and gain confidence as you do. Get moving! ✔️ Don’t define yourself by your great days or difficult days. You’re a beautiful mix of both. And sometimes one outweighs the other in frequency. ✔️ Things that fuel & uplift me: • going to church • working out at the gym • washing my face • singing in the car • going in the sauna • drinking my pink drink + active • reading with my kids • getting fresh air & sunlight ✔️ It’s the simple things we CHOOSE to do that can turn our day around.
