See me o! I have decided that, I’ll have oranges for dinner and had finished eating it when SOK said I should fry eggs for her. I was lying on the bed o! I was on my own o! SOK knows I don’t like doing anything(especially cooking) when there’s no power at night. Besides, I’m very exhausted from the day’s hustle. SOK knows this! She knows! I agreed to fry the eggs for her, she’s my mother I can’t say no.Getting to the kitchen there was no ground dry pepper. You know there’s no egg frying without pepper. I decided to pound one scotch pepper for the egg. THERE’S NO POWER, remember! As I was pounding,my phone was placed on the kitchen counter prior to when I started pounding and I needed to see if the pepper is smooth enough for usage at a point. I was still pounding when I reached for my phone. Fiam! Pepper got into my eye. I screamed! I can’t remember the last that happened to me. The most I can remember was back then, in the village, it is believed that when pounding pepper do not look away from the mortar else pepper will get into your eyes. As a child then, I believed my granny. Because, on days I decide to be playful it got into my eye(s). So most days, I’ll don’t look away while pounding. It’s usually a daredevil thing. But, as an adult I doubted it until tonight. Tonight has proved that my childhood belief and what my granny said was true. It’s not a myth after all. Guess what!? After throwing tantrums(according to SOK) and washing my eyes countless times,I was made to fry the eggs for SOK. The only thing SOK did was, say sorry, gave me raw salt to l!ck and placed a kn!fe on my eye three times. Argh! chai! Pepper got into my eyes today, a whole meal like me😭. #hustler #mylife #myjourney

// When it all started. 12 years ago, this month, I woke up in the worse pain imaginable. I stubbornly drove to work before my co-workers talked me into going to Kaiser. That would be my last day at work for nearly a year as I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma, a blood cancer. I was hospitalized for a month before fighting through radiation and chemotherapy. On my way to recovery and healing I went through hell and back. Hospitalized three days after being diagnosed, almost dying while in ICU, losing over 50 pounds, losing nearly 3 inches in height, losing my ability to walk, participating in physical and occupational therapy, daily doctor visits, exams, procedures, labs, being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance after passing out at home, and having 8.2 million cells collected and saved at City of Hope for a bone marrow transplant, if I ever choose to have one or two. Get this!!! All of this in the first year. Life after cancer has been a changed life while maintaining remission! Yet, I’m thriving while I live my best life! Now 12 years later, I’m finally off of my “chemo pills” (6th months now) and I have my first set of related bloodwork in three months due next week followed by an appointment with my oncologist, on May 16th. My perimenopausal symptoms began 8 years ago without me realising it. I was feeling anxious and edgy. I was very temperamental and I took out my anger to the person closest to me - my poor ex husband. Everything he did wasn’t good enough & at that time I thought it was because of him that I felt so terrible. All I wanted to do was to leave him n I kept pushing him for a divorce. He kept persuading me & he tried his very best to hold on to our marriage. I just wanted out!!! I thought all my problems, anxieties will go away after leaving him. But of course, it didn’t because it wasn’t him - it was my hormones. Looking back, I felt so sorry for putting him through hell. He definitely didn’t deserve this. If I had known that it was my hormones and that it was my perimenopausal symptoms that made me react this way - perhaps things would have been different. No regrets & life goes on. Ladies- perimenopausal symptoms can start as early as mid 30’s or in my case early 40’s. Do look out for them and seek all the help you need. Growth is slow. Healing is slow. Transformation is slow. All of it feels slow. I was reminded about this the other day in counseling. I always want to speed up and go faster. I want to grow faster. I want to heal faster. I want to get rid of negative parts of me faster. But I had to be reminded of something. The internal growth that I am having right now, Is more important than the external growth that I am looking for. What does that mean? It means that movement, kingdom, mission and vision that I have for my life that I am building will not happen fast. It means that it is down the road but it will be built on who I am at the core. How I show up internally. My integrity. My honestly. My love and care. God has been working on who I am from the inside out. My guilt, shame, regret, emotion, empathy and love. Reconnecting parts of my brain to my heart. Rewiring my thought process and re-engaging my soul. All of this is being done first to help me build what He has called me to build. Do I know all that He has called me to build? Right now? No not totally. I just know it involved breaking women free from toxic relationships currently. And breaking men free from the chains of their own lies and abusive habits. That is what I have been called to do. I will keep building and growing that, until He shows me a different direction. 04.05.2024 - GNBF - 🥈🙏🚀 8th International German Championships Es war einfach unglaublich🙏🤩 Wir konnten uns heute den Titel des Vizemeisters auf der Internationalen der GNBF in der Men`s Athletik sichern 🥈🚀 Respekt und ein großes Dankeschön heute an alle Athleten, die mit mir auf der Bühne standen 🙏 Das Teilnehmerfeld war unglaublich stark und es waren sehr erfahrene Athleten dabei! Aus diesem Grund ist es so unglaublich für mich, in so einer starken Klasse den 2. Platz zu machen 🤯 Ich danke allen, die vor Ort waren. Those of you that read my post from February 26th might see the difference after a 20lb weight loss! I have so much more to lose but I’m very pleased that I have stayed on track this long. It’s hard but rewarding and the reward makes it easier. We are doing some major renovations to our kitchen and family room due to a water leak in a ceiling pipe. We are also getting a new roof put on starting next week! The reason I’m telling you this is because I am a stress eater and it’s actually been easier with my weight watchers app. They have always been my go to. Try it! En dejlig weekend ♥️ har passeret 13kg vægttab siden operationen, det er fantastisk! Jeg er virkelig begyndt at tænke over hvad jeg gerne vil kaste mig ud i af sport.. for første gang i mange år er jeg begyndt at overveje hvad jeg har lyst til at gå til… alt er i spil… jeg har delt kampsport i tankerne, simpelthen fordi jeg synes den mentale ro det giver at træne fokus og koncentration er noget jeg har brug for… men selvom jeg føler mig klar som aldrig før til at kaste mig ud i alt muligt så er tankerne der stadig.. kan jeg nu finde ud af det osv osv… men faktum er… det kan jeg! Som Pippi siger, det har jeg aldrig prøvet før så det kan jeg helt sikkert! På onsdag skal jeg påbegynde mit selvudviklingskursus Gilwell57 gennem Kfum spejderne.. jeg er klar som aldrig før!
