I can’t believe this is the last week of April, this year has gone so fast. This week I didn’t do any workout but I still watch what I was eating. I just try to get back in to a routine again and need to catch up on paperwork. I feel this year weight loss journey is better than all the other years I’ve been trying to loose my mummy weight. This year I found I’m not hard on myself, I’m being patient with my journey and my mindset has improved a lot. So my goal for May and winter is I’m going to be a bit strict on my eating habits cuz we know in winter we eat more. Start being more active on the weekends. Weight update! So rather than weekly weight updates I’m thinking of doing a monthly update like this showing how linear weight is. This week Mother Nature arrived, We had a take away on Friday, Saturday my weight was up - salty food/alcohol/period = water retention and bloating!!! My weight is going down and I am building muscle but even more, I feel so much better in myself. I can move easier, feel less lethargic (don’t get me wrong I am TIRED but from life 😂🤦‍♀️) AND I wore cargos I haven’t worn for 2 years and they’re too big!!!! I try not to beat myself up when things might not always go to plan. It’s not helpful! You do what you can do at any given time. 🚨 Transformation update 🚨 Thought I would share a little update with you all I finished a lap of our 10 day health marathon on Thursday and these are my results and I’m well chuffed!!! Cannot believe it’s just about the end of April & I’ve walked every day walking just over 60 miles 🤝 also taking my weightloss very slowly this time round & implement a lifestyle change & so far I’ve lost 11lbs 🙌 It’s not a lot but as someone who gives up on everything it’s a lot for me & it’s me who I’m doing it for 💃 1. Comfiest walking boots I’ve owned & they’ve taken me on most of these miles 🥾 2. Sunny day at the park ☀️ 3. Testing out the new wheels on the worst route ever 🤣 4. Spontaneous walk in the sunshine with a friend for the nicest views! 5. One of my fave spots, always so peaceful 6. Rare pic of me & I was tucked in which is a big moment 🤣 trying to dress better is hard when I have no style and zero money but I am trying 🙃

Miss 5 was at her cousins house on ANZAC day and even though they made ANZAC biscuits there, she was upset we didn’t get to make some together, as apparently it’s our tradition. So this weekend we’ve done some baking together and part of that was making ANZAC biscuits following the WW recipe. Hey, I'm Leah. I'm a yoga teacher, mum and animal lover... On a deeper level I'm an introvert, motivated and highly emotional. I also used to be extremely inflexible which is funny coming from a yoga teacher but I am definitely not hyper mobile and I hated sports as a kid. But I love yoga especially when I look back at how far I've come since practicing. I could barely touch my toes, I was extremely up and down in my moods and I wasn't coping great with motherhood and stress. As soon as I started practicing more often though the shift in energy was magnetic. My mood stayed pretty calm (obviously motherhood will always have some challenges) and I physically felt the best I had in years. And I'm here to share that with the world. Allow me to introduce myself to anyone who’s new here. Hi, I’m Emilee, a married mom of two wonderful kids: JD, who’s turning 3 in June, and my adorable 8-month-old daughter, Astrid. And of course, I can’t forget my fur baby, Scarlett. Before embracing motherhood, I spent three fulfilling years in the fitness industry, managing reception and customer service at a gym. But since then, I’ve transitioned into a new role as an Administrative Manager at a social media and marketing agency, which I absolutely adore. My journey with motherhood hasn’t been without its challenges. With my first pregnancy, I gained over 45kgs, but managed to shed 20kgs before discovering I was expecting baby #2. This time, I gained around 17kgs. Throughout it all, I’ve had the unwavering support of my incredible coach, Amanda from Estro Physiques, since six weeks postpartum in October 2023. She’s been instrumental in helping me navigate my fitness journey. Dealing with Lipedema and Lymphedema has presented its own set of hurdles, particularly in my lower body and upper arms, but I’m resilient and determined to push through. I’ve got tickets to the mummy gun show. Even if my kids laugh and say they’re small. I don’t care! It’s a funny reminder that my whole exercise and health journey started with (a still present today) issue in my right shoulder. I have a small tear and surgery wasn’t really an option. Building strength was the way forward. But I distinctly remember sitting in the physio’s office. Mum of two small toddlers trying to navigate life back at work. Me saying I just had no time. The Physio challenging me that if nothing changed, nothing would change and how was I going to create 3 x 30 min times in my week for the exercises I needed. So that’s how I started. Getting up earlier so I could have 30 mins - 3 times a week. So my shoulder could be better managed. From little things - big things grow 😍 Start that small healthy habit for you. You never know where it will take you. You want to be enjoying motherhood, not feeling overstimulated, touched out or overwhelmed. I see you, hear you and was you.
